They had some of the most unique plants I have seen and not likely to see at Lowe's, Home Depot or Pikes. One such plant was the stone crop "Lemon Ball" which is has great texture and would make a great ground cover for open areas. It tends to be a bit aggressive so you don't want it close to beds or contained areas. When looking at a plant that hasn't bloomed yet, make sure that you know what the plant looks like when it blooms because you may no longer like it. I loved the Abelia Grandiflora until I saw a picture of it in bloom and realized I did not like the blooms, just the leaves. Next! I would love to visit this nursery and see some of their vegetable plants. I love Swiss Chard and it is not always easy to find fresh options in the grocery store so I am interested in growing some myself to see how they might turn out. . When buying plants, it is always important to read the little planter stick so that you will know the specific characteristics of the plant to determine if it is appropriate for your garden. Sometimes, I am still unsure so I take a photo of the plant and tag, do the research and make sure that it is exactly what I want. This will save you time and frustration. This nursery is now conveniently located on Highway 53 in Dawsonville.

Chris and his wife have built something special. The shop is clean, welcoming, and incredibly well thought out. Whether you're looking for a comfortable couch to relax, a family table, an individual workspace with power outlets, or just a quiet place to read a book, they've created a space that works for everyone. One of my favorite touches was their community book exchange. Grab a book, enjoy a coffee or pastry, read for a while there or at home, and bring it back when you're finished. It's a simple idea, but it adds a lot of character to the shop. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I went with the COMBAT CLUB sandwich (ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, garlic aoli on sourdough), chips, a Diet Coke, and a Reese's peanut butter cookie. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The sandwich was loaded with meat and made for a great lunch. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. You order and they'll call out your name for pick up when it's ready. I also got to meet Cassie, the service dog who quietly hangs out in her own little corner. She was adorable and perfectly behaved. What stood out most wasn't any single menu item... it was the atmosphere. The entire place feels like it was designed to bring people together. Between places like Roundabout Deli, Hatsu Hibachi, and now IGY6 Coffee Company, Dawsonville is building a reputation for some truly outstanding locally owned businesses. The lemon is bright and refreshing, while the cinnamon has a warm, comforting flavor that's perfect on toast, biscuits, or even stirred into tea. Given it was a $10 drink, I wanted to make sure it was what I ordered.Talking to a different person at the counter, they told me it was pre sweetened and I was not able to get it without sugar. They allowed me to get another drink after I asked. I got the cold brew which was light and a little watered down. My experience wasn't the best, but my girlfriend got a drink and said it was good! If you're into sugary creative drinks with cool ambiance, check this place out! But if you enjoy more basic coffees, maybe look elsewhere.
