He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. My second visit to VEG, two years after my first, was for a completely different issue for my cat…read more Once again the team descended upon me and my boy immediately, and calmly and thoroughly triaged him and took me through all the intake questions. I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

The only downside is it is rather far from where I live and they have a penalty if you cannot get to your pup to pick up within 30 minutes, but they let you know the pup is available. That's hard to do so. I have to schedule it at a time that I can sit in a coffee shop for several hours and wait for it to be done. Otherwise I have to pay a penalty because Septa does not go quickly. That said it is 100% worth it! Just get your pup immediately. We hope to use them for some time!

PHL pets is very reliable and trust worthy. Also they use an app that is very easy to make appointments and communicate with the dog walker or Dina and receive photos and updates of the visit and to Make payments. Dina is awesome with Major and personal trains her dog walkers to be as awesome as Dina is. Unfortunately next week I am moving a little further south to Packer Park and PHL pets doesn't go that far south. I'm hoping to find another company that is as good as PHL Pets. I located the groomer, Sarah on Instagram and her contact info was listed in her bio, so I called in to get an appointment. The earliest available appointment was 2 months out , so I snagged it up. Upon entering, Doggy Style Pets gives all the warm and fuzzies for dog parents. There was a large variety of toys and treats. Me and my dog were greeted right away, I signed the typical first time visitor waiver for grooming services and then in a few moments was introduced to the groomer. Sarah was friendly and we briefly talked through my hopes from the appointment. She did disclose ( and I already knew) that my dog had a ton of matting in hard to reach areas, so she'd do her best to keep what hair she could while keeping my dogs health in mind. The grooming took about 2hrs and I received a call when my pup was ready to be picked up. Overall DSP were polite and friendly, and I'd likely return from regular grooming upkeep. I like looking at all the cool clothes and treats. They are more pricey that your big box pet suppliers but, the experience is much more pleasant and the stock is much more varied and interesting. Pet people are also more apt to drop some cash for our babies. Best of all, there are usually pets for adoption. This is a wonderful thing for these shops to do as a service to pets that would possibly be destroyed and to the communities where these stores are located. Bravo!

We are six months in and I'm happy to report that Wag Days is awesome, and keeps getting better. They have theme days and offer all sorts of daycare options as well as puppy and dog training. There are two things on my wish list: (1) I wish the Ring doorbell worked so calling to drop off and pick up was not necessary, and (2) I wish the portal allowed for editing reservation dates. Both things are technical, and technology can be fickle. How the humans treat my pup is far more important, an Wag Days staff are all aces in that department.
