I have used Philly Fit Dog to walk both my large dogs twice a day, 5x a week for about a 1 year now and I absolutely love and trust them, and there's nothing more important between a dog owner and the dog walker/sitter than trust! Let me summarize the main reasons why you should hire them. 1) They are VERY RESPONSIVE, there's nothing more frustrating than needing to make changes to your walk or book a walk for a last minute weekend and no one is responding. Whitney responds very fast and always does her best to fulfill your needs. She is very professional and has never let me down. 2) Walkers that pay attention and are attentive. I have had about three consistent walkers and they all follow the very specific long and detailed instructions I leave for my pups. Especially Bridget, she is wonderful and so caring with my dogs! 3) Petcheck technology, you can easily schedule/change, track the walk, view the walk report card, and see pictures from the walk. I also leave instructions and building codes on here, it's very easy to use and seems like Whitney checks it very often when you requests new walks. You can also leave notes for the walker that day, this is useful if there are minor changes or if you just need to leave a FYI for your walker. Let me tell you, I have gone through my share of crappy, inconsistent, dog walkers, and it can be very frustrating, but with Philly Fit Dog I can go to work with the peace of mind that my pups will be in good hands, and I can't say how big of a relief that has been. Thank you Philly Fit dog!! read more

I have used philly fit dog for the past 5 years for my Rottweiler. My pup had some challenges as a puppy and adult (lol) Philly fit dog and all their walkers met every challenge with me. I never worried that my dog wasn't with the best care when I wasn't home. I also used their overnight service and was very pleased with that as well. For anyone who needs dog walking/sitting in the city should contact them. Skully and I thank everyone from the Philly Fit Dog team. read more

Philly Fit Dog - Skully - Dog Walkers Near Me

Used service for almost a year now and have had no complaints. Whitney has been very fast and responsive with any requests or scheduling changes. The walkers that have come in have all been great. I can understand how some dogs may not do well with having many walkers but our dog has never been shy with strangers so its never been a problem. Ive been home occasionally when the walkers come and I can see how excited by dog gets when he sees them come in. read more

We have been using Philly Fit Dog for nearly a month and we have been ABSOLUTELY THRILLED with this service! Whitney and her team are INCREDIBLE and go ABOVE AND BEYOND in every possible way. We get home from work and our pup, Henry, is sleepy and cozy in his crate after enjoying his walk a few hours earlier. It's SO nice to know that our pup isn't cooped up all day. We get notifications as soon as they arrive and when they leave, and then get to see the GPS map of their walk! We absolutely love getting the notes from the dog walker in the middle of the day telling us about Henry! Whitney and her team work hard to make you feel at ease, accommodate last minute walks, etc. It's fantastic. If you have been looking for a dog walker, look no more! I get very anxious about things like this and I cannot say enough incredible things about PFD. read more

Whitney is amazing!!! I have used her services for over 6 months now. I unfortuantely sometimes need last minute services, email her in the middle of the night, have to change the service, etc and she's amazing with all of our last minute changes. She's compassionate when a dog is going through something, is great at communitcating, and once again is very flexible. She communicates everything to the walkers very well. As long as you write in the notes what to do for the walkers they're great! I love when they send pics of the dogs! Thanks so much!! read more

I've been using Philly Fit Dog since I adopted my pup in late 2014. I couldn't be happier with them in every way possible. My dog is a 75-pound rescue pit bull that I adopted from PAWS. He was about 7 months old when I got him, and though he loves people, he's never been good with other dogs. In short, he was a bit of a problem dog. Philly Fit Dog has handled him amazingly well. He's calmed down over the years, but all of their walkers have been wonderful with him. They're punctual. They're enthusiastic. They're billing and scheduling system is INSANELY easy, and they do their best to accommodate last minute requests. I trust them so much that I even had them do a couple of overnight dog sitting sessions over the years. If you're looking for a dog-walking/running/sitting service, go with Philly Fit Dog. read more

We have been using Philly Fit Dog to walk Mojo for 6 months now, and I'm not sure that I have ever dealt with as responsive, and responsible a company. We are notified via an e-mail alert as soon as Mojo's walk starts, and as soon as it is finished, always with a nice 3-4 sentence note about what Mojo did on his walk. Whitney, the owner, seems to be available 24/7 to deal with any issue, whether it's a last-minute schedule change (which they have always been able to accommodate), or something else. Rain/Snow/Shine, I know Mojo is getting taken care of, and I'm happy to give my highest recommendation for Philly Fit Dog. read more

We are delighted with the care and attention given to our two-year old highly energetic Cockapoo, Ginger, and two cats, Sasha and Chloe. They are always happy to see Whitney and Abby, which brings us great comfort knowing they are comfortable and enjoy being around them. Philly Fit Dog has always been highly responsive to our needs, and provides high quality care for our beloved fur babies. They are consummate professionals who care about the emotional well-being and physical health of our dog and two cats. Whitney and Abby exceed our expectations, and consistently go above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Philly Fit Dog is a one-stop shop for busy working professionals with animals who want top-notch care and need anything from a run for dog exercise or a quick potty break to comprehensive pet sitting when we are out of town. Additionally, the online service makes scheduling and payments a breeze and we love the comments and tracking feature to see where our pup has been. Without hesitation, I would recommend them to anyone in need of pet care services. read more

I can't even tell you how happy I am with Philly Fit Dog! I looked into a few services in the city and I chose them because they don't walk dogs from different households together. We have a 11-week old golden retriever puppy and I have been very nervous about leaving her home alone for increasing amounts of time. With Philly Fit dog, the walker checks in through the PetCheck app. I can then see how much time is left on Penny's walk, and afterwards the walker leaves detailed notes on what they did, if she did #1/2, photos, and GPS tracking showing where they went. Since I know what time they came/left, I can plan what time I need to be home from work. They also offer varying lengths of walks and discounts on their rates if you book 3 or more walks in one week. I have been doing the 60 minute walks which allows time for the walker to walk her, feed her, and play with her. They also have options to select when you book, like if you need them to feed your dog, give them medicine, water plants, etc. Thanks Philly Fit dog and Hannah (who has been our walker so far) for keeping this new puppy mom relatively calm! read more

We have been using Philly Fit Dog since this past January for our very active 4 year old dog, Buzi, and we could not be any happier. Whitney and the girls are so extremely professional and trust worthy. We have used them for walks, runs and and even an overnight stay. The nicest part is that I get an email when the walk starts and another when the walk is complete with a short message telling me about their daily adventures. This alone gives me great piece of mind while at work. We (including Buzi) are so lucky to have found Philly Fit dog and we will be using them for years to come. read more

Whitney and team have always been great for our dog Oscar (who is not always an easy customer). Today the Philly Fit Dog team went above and beyond to help us out of an unexpected jam. It is so great to have PFD as a resource when things come up to assure Oscar is well taken care of! Thank you Philly Fit Dog for being awesome! read more

We've only been using Philly Fit Dog for about 3 weeks for daily weekday walks for our 16 year old dog. After having multiple on-going issues with our previous dog walker, we decided to try Philly Fit after reading so many positive reviews and learning of their state of the art technology. I wish we switched a long time ago! They are RELIABLE, very competitively priced and we love the email updates that give us peace of mind during our work day that our boy is being cared for as promised. The online scheduling is super convenient and online payment is great too! They are true professionals, insured and bonded and most importantly honest, reliable and take good care of specific, special needs of each customer. We HIGHLY recommend them! read more

Philly Fit Dog has been exceeding my expectations from the very beginning. My landlord required a number of references and paperwork from Philly Fit Dog before I was a customer. Whitney was so patient and professional throughout the entire process. I have been using their dog walking service for 6 months. The walkers were wonderfully supportive and understanding when my dog broke her leg (we have been nothing but trouble to this company). They were really accommodating with all of her special needs (cone and special bandage). On top of that, the service is wonderful. I love receiving the dog walker's summary to my work email. I absolutely recommend their service to anyone looking for a dog walking service. read more

I love Philly Fit Dog! I've used them for 3 + years and could not be happier. They have been consistently wonderful to work with, and I've never had a bad experience with them. I have a weird schedule with random long shifts, and they have always been able to work with me to walk my dog at random times. They are great with last minute requests, and can usually do walks when something comes up. Whitney is always fast to respond to emails. I even use them when I'm out of town for the weekend. They will feed your pet and give them medicine as well. My dog is always happy to see me when I get home and never desperate to go out - which speaks volumes to the kind of care he gets when I'm gone. It takes away all the stress of wondering who is with your pet knowing that they are well taken care of in your absence. I'll continue to use this company as long as I'm living in Philly, and you should too. Thanks Whitney and all of the walkers at Philly Fit Dog! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this business! Whitney & Abby are phenomenal in caring for my pitbull, Chloe! They always arrive on time and check in using petchecktechnology so I can physically see they are walking her. They leave comments via email at the end of every walk and I feel like Chloe is well cared for in their care! Also, Whitney is phenomenal about last minute requests, she's saved me (and Chloe) a few times! I love not worrying about payment and being able to change it up each appointment if I want a longer or shorter walk. Four paws and two thumbs up for this duo! read more

I recently moved to Philadelphia and have used a few various sitters. This company is by far the most reliable, positive, and caring service I have worked with. I have used them for dog walking, and cat sitting. Due to them utilizing A GPS technology and online update service, you will always be comforted knowing when your pet is being cared for and how things went during their visit. They have been a huge help to me, especially in a new city. I can't say enough positive things about this company and it's wonderful pet care specialists. read more

Philly fit dog is the absolute best. The very first time they came to walk my dog they could not get into my house because I had given them the wrong key. I was out of town and unable to come home so the walker spent her evening waiting for a locksmith to ensure that my dog got his walk and feeding. So far above and beyond what was called for and the kind of care and attention only certain quality small businesses have. read more

I have used three dog walkers in the past and I have to say that Whitney and Abby are phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are so sweet with our dog, they are always on time and they are wonderful to work with. They use pet check technology and it's the greatest thing on the planet. First, we can schedule appointments online and we pay through a credit card online. It's super easy. We also get an email when they get to our apt, can see where they took our dog with this gps tracker and then we get a check out notification with the appointment duration and a cute note each time they come to visit. Talk about peace of mind. They are also wonderful with pet sitting. We've used them a few times to watch our dog overnight and will continue to use them. They are great. read more

I've been debating whether or not to write a review about my experiences with PFD, but after yesterday's walk I feel like I need to do it. I DON'T recommend using them until they do better screening and training with their walkers. My first overall impression with the company when we started using them was great! Very convenient to book, accommodating with last minute requests, the woman (I'm sorry I forgot her name) who met with my boyfriend and I during the meet and greet was professional courteous and definitely put our worries at ease (because we weren't too keen on the idea of having strangers come in our home to walk our pup.) We both have pretty crazy schedules so we really were relying on PFD. But yesterday was the last time I will be using their walkers. I have to say that Whitney has been very responsive, professional, and helpful during the issues we have with some walkers. The problems we had were with the professionalism of the walkers and the consistency. The things I have seen on our home security system cameras: a walker sitting in our house for hours in between walks while our dog is in her crate then going over to her and sticking toys through the crate at her; walkers going through our kitchen cabinets, and eating our food; There have been times when I have gotten home from work and our door has been left unlocked, and most recently our key box was left open for hours on our steps allowing anyone access to our keys. Not okay. I scheduled an hour walk for our dog, when I called to question whether or not she had been walked and to report the walker sitting on our floor eating our food... I was told they were having "issues" with our dog... fine, our dog can be slow to warm up with strangers since there has been a lack of consistency with who has been walking her (basically a different walker each time) then i would appreciate someone to communicate if there is a problem and have the walker leave instead of sitting in my house for the scheduled time and leaving me with the impression my dog has gone for an hour walk. Again, Whitney addresses these issues very professionally and I thank you for that. This company has broken my trust with allowing any walkers to come into my home and walk my dog. read more

I only have tremendous things to say about Philly fit dog. We found them around Christmas time because my fiancé and I were traveling to Ireland for the holidays and this was the first time we were leaving our two year old adopted dog Daisy. Needless to say we were very nervous about her getting enough exercise and whether or not she was being "relieved". She is a high energy hound mix with a tendency to become destructive if left alone, bored or not exercised enough. My fiancé found Philly fit dog on the computer and they came to our house to meet with us and Daisy and answered all of our questions and concerns. While we were abroad we could not wait to receive the e-mails from the dog runners because it gave us such a sense of relief to know that Daisy was being taken care of. We loved the messages the runners would leave a well as being able to track the path of their run and we were also amused at the icons to let you know if your dog peed (fire hydrant) or pooped (shovel) on the trip. You can also add on extras like tip, dog feeding, or special requests if you need too. The appointment system is soooo easy to use. You select the day you want, the time you want and you wait to see if your appointment gets approved and who will be coming. We were lucky enough to request a certain runner for Daisy when she is available. It is also great that you can request different lengths of walks or runs. Some dogs may be ok with a 20 minute walk....but we always schedule a 30 minute run since Daisy is high energy and very active. We love to see a tired pup when we get home. Whitney, the owner, has been a God send. She is quick to respond to e-mail whether it be with questions, concerns or clarifications. She is also willing to work with you to provide you the best service, even if you may not deserve it. For example, today, my fiancé was concerned because Daisy did not relieve herself on her morning walk before we both left for work. He was concerned that she would be suffering all day long. I knew it was a shot in the dark and extremely short noticed that anyone would be available to take her out but I e-mailed Whitney and within an hour, I had someone scheduled to be at my house to take care of Daisy. I was very fortunate because it is not fair to schedule an appointment the day of (I always try to do at least a day or two before if I know she needs to be taken care of) and they are not always able to accommodate on such short notice and I am extremely 100% appreciative that Whitney was able to work something out. This is the best service I have seen. They are trustworthy, honest and you can tell they genuinely care about your dog and they absolutely do everything they can to work with you to make sure you are happy with their service. read more

I've been using Philly Fit Dog for nearly a year, ever since I adopted my pup, Lila (2 years old now). Whitney is so incredibly responsive and flexible to work with - and every walker that I've had has been great, working to build a relationship with Lila so I know she has fun on her walks/runs and isn't nervous to get out of her crate. I love the little updates once the walk is done, and it's nice knowing that she's getting a fresh air break while I'm at work. I will absolutely keep using PFD for years to come and would recommend them to anyone that asks. read more

I could not agree with Bobbi A. more as my experience with Whitney and the whole crew at Philly Fit dog has been truly spectacular. I initially hired them because I had hip surgery and was on crutches so I needed someone to come and walk my 2 terriers. Not only were the walkers on time, but they followed everything I asked to the letter (which one to crate, how to lock our overly obnoxious front door, to please avoid other dogs etc). Since I was there when the walker came I got to see first hand how much they genuinely cared for the animals they were walking. I chose to finally write this review today because I was particularly impressed with a very last minute walk request that Whitney and our walker, Claire, accommodated even though I completely forgot to schedule the walk ahead of time. Not only were they able to come but the way Whitney handled the request and the promptness with which she responded was so impressive. Love my walker, love this company! read more

We've been using Philly Fit Dog for our puppy for about 6 months (she's 9 months old now) and just love them. They are always prompt and our dog loves them, too. Their system is awesome - you get an email at the start of the walk and at the end, you get another email with a map of where they walked, and notes from the walker on how she did. I love getting those little notes. PFD has really been a life saver for us. I would definitely recommend (and have often) them to friends. We'll keep using them! read more

I have been using Philly Fit Dog for several years for my two dogs. I am always happy with the Dog Walkers, as are my pups. It is nice to be able to see the dog walking route online via GPS to be sure that the walkers are, in fact, taking the dogs on a nice stroll. Whitney, the owner, is always responsive to my last-minute scheduling needs and unique circumstances. I have never had any issues with this company and would highly recommend them, especially because they are less expensive than other walkers in the neighborhood who do not even offer the GPS service. read more

I could not be happier with my experience working with Philly Fit Dog. Whitney is reliable, prompt and caring so I feel assured that my pup, Roxy, is in excellent hands. Philly Fit Dog takes great care of my pup, Boss! Boss gets regular 20-minute walks during the day while I'm at work. I love the Pet Check technology, I look forward to reading about his adventure everyday. Their pricing is unbeatable, especially for a regular service. They made everything easy to get him started as a client and I've been impressed ever since! Whitney is incredibly prompt to respond via email if I need to cancel or have any questions. Updated to add that I had a nice exchange with the owner after posting my review. She understood how some of the locale-specific verbiage was a bit confusing, and updated her site to reflect the areas that she's able to serve. Looking forward to using her when she expands! read more

My wife and I were planning a 2-week trip and needed to secure dog walks for our Pit mix, who is anxious, strong, and unsocialized with most other dogs. We knew it was a tall order that may not be able to be met, and had little luck contacting several other services, but Philly Fit Dog was on it! They assigned two dog walkers to our dog throughout the 2-week period. There were issues with one of the walkers, who wasn't ready for her challenging behavior, but Whitney was on top of it, took care of the scheduling and made sure an experienced walker took care of her for the rest of the trip. A total lifesaver! read more

I have been a client of Philly Fit Dog for years, and won't use anyone else in the city. Whitney is a superhero, always reliable and has gotten me out of a jam more times than I can count due to the dynamic nature of my work. Whitney and her team have been nothing but accommodating, and King Jameson is quite happy after seeing her team members. They use a software to let you know when your walker has checked in/out creating total transparency from the customer end, and it is a great value add. I've used countless walking services across the country, and Philly Fit Dog still has the #1 spot. Thanks guys! read more

We've been using Philly Fit Dog for our Doberman puppy for almost 3 weeks now and Whitney and the walkers have been great! Whitney is very understanding of last minute schedule adjustments if needed...couldn't ask for better customer service. We've been using Philly Fit Dog for a weekly walk or run for our dog for several months. We have also used them for in-home pet care while we were out of town. Our dog has major (like, major) issues with dog reactivity, so I'm always a bit nervous when anyone else cares for her in the city where dog encounters are nearly inevitable. Philly Fit Dog has been totally able to manage her issues and provide her with great care and exercise. The service is extremely flexible and Whitney is always very responsive to emails. Our pup loves her walkers/runners and we feel very comfortable with the care and attention she receives. I love that I can actually GPS track her walks, too. read more

We have used this company for 3-4 months now. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I have 2 dogs, one 60 pound golden doodle and a pending 120 pound saint berdoodle puppy. We started with Philly Fit Dog when we got our second dog and doggy daycare became too pricey. From day 1 the owner Whitney was more then helpful answering any questions i had. The app they use is wonderful, perfect for last minute bookings and for all the details you may want about every walk. I am also amazing by how attentive the owner is with any last minute cancellations i have to make. I trust them to come into my home and care for my dogs the same way i would. I love the little recaps i get via the app at the end of each walk. Keep up the great work! read more

Philly Fit Dog is amazing. I just moved to Philly a few weeks ago and originally hired a different dog walker. Well that idiot left me in the lurch while I was 100 miles from home. I could go into more detail but I won't. Needless to say I had to find another dog walker ASAP. Whitney was a God send. She returned my frantic call pretty much immediately. She set up time to come and meet us the very next day. When she walked in she was an immediate ray of sunshine. Knowing that I just had a bad experience with my previous dog walker, she took the time to hear my story and explain that Fred (my dog) would be in trusted hands. Not only was she professional but she really made me feel comfortable, calm and that I could trust her with my dog immediately. She also took the time to thoroughly explain the technology she uses for her walking service and how it would benefit me since I use her service everyday. Whitney makes everything so EASY for her clientele. You can schedule and pay everything online. AND she is always available for clients that need a bit more hand holding. I have also met some of the other ladies that walk Fred and they are just as amazing. They genuinely love my dog and take such great care of him. At the end of the day anyone can use fancy technology etc. But what you need is someone that actually cares and loves your dog the way you do. And Philly Fit Dog does!!! Please use them if you need a dog walker. You will not be disappointed. I wish I had found them sooner but hey you live and learn. Thanks ladies. read more

I relied on Yelp reviews to find a new dog walking service when I moved. I love my old walker - Top Tails - but they don't service Fairmount. Whitney and Abby were so relaxed and professional when they did their house visit, and my pug was immediately comfortable around them. From the first walk, I was hooked. Pet Check Technology, which they use, is absolutely genius. I get a notification when his walk starts and ends (with a nice little email summarizing his walk) and I can choose to look at a map of his walk. A map. Brilliant. Diesel has actually lose three pounds since he moved (a big deal for a senior pug - could be attributed to a third floor walk up, or that he enjoys walking in his new neighborhood so much more - all the smells), but I really think his walks with Whitney and Abby have a lot to do with it. For the first time since he was a young puppy, the vet commended my efforts on his weight loss. I recently recommended them to a friend in the neighborhood and got a free walk for my dog as a thank you. Oh, and added bonus...I found out after already hiring them and being happy with their service that Whitney used to work for my old walking company before venturing out on her own. Thanks to the other reviewers for pointing me in the right direction! read more

This service is fabulous! Always reliable. Always on time. And super responsive to last minute requests. I highly recommend Philly Fit Dog. The service is excellent---very reliable and responsive to quick changes in schedule which is so helpful to my work life! Most importantly, Whitney and her team truly care for their dogs---our lab is staying in shape, is getting love and attention during the day and, as a result, is healthy and happy! The dog walkers are very knowledgeable and attentive---details such as bringing water along on the walk during hot days and reinforcing training all add up to a worry-free life for me! read more

We have been using Philly Fit Dog since we adopted our black lab mix back in September, and they are the absolute best! They are 100% reliable, always have someone available to walk or run your dog, and have accommodated "last-minute" requests a number of times. We have even used them for overnight stays and they have been great! They arrive and depart at the appropriate times and use a great check-in/check-out scan technology that send us an email when they arrive and depart. We can even track the walk online after the check in if we want to! And, they provide an email at the end of a walk/run/overnight stay, letting you know how things went. Also, they use a lockbox which stays at our house, which is a great system as we've seen other dog walkers carrying tons of keys on their waist when out walking dogs. We feel much more comfortable knowing our house key won't be potentially lost or stolen. Philly Fit Dog always goes above and beyond, not only to show affection to our dog, and give him the exercise he needs, but also to clean up accidents he has had at times, and when staying overnight, to take in the mail, water flowers, etc. Would recommend them to anyone! read more
