Granted, I'm at fault for not paying attention to the grams because if I did, I would have realized it's barely enough for 1 person. In they store they actually tried to justify that this is enough for 2-3 people. I'm willing to pay market value, even more to support a business I like, especially during these rough times. But sorry, this is just plain deceptive.

I come here for the hot food rather than for the raw seafood…read more I like the crabmeat sandwich here as it has real pieces of crabmeat, it is not all chopped up. You can taste the sweetness of the crabmeat as it is not smothered in Mayo or dressing. The deep fried oysters are coated panko style. It is not oily though it does get to you after a while. Maybe I'm just not big on fried stuff. The combo has 4 pieces of the fried oysters and clam chowder. Not too bad. The clam chowder is disappointing as it is very starchy tasting. I will not get this. Fish and chips is their specialty and they have other seafood burgers too. Besides the hot food, you can get live crabs, oysters and clams here. There are also cooked shrimps and crabmeat which you can buy by the pound. Frozen and fresh seafood is also a available here. A good place to get that for those living in this area. Parking is available out front. No dine in now.

Japanese grocery mostly dried foods and snack is pretty limited. I found dried seaweed, some rice crackers I haven't seen at other stores. The price for Japanese grocery is about the same. Always driven by this place on my way to dim sum or Cantonese restaurants on Victoria Drive and decided to stop in and look and was pleasantly surprised they had a whole tank of live rock cod. Live and fresh is always better if you don't mind splurging and the price per pound which included scaling and gutting the fish was fair considering what larger places like Tnt were charging for live rock fish. I would recommend this place if your favourite fish market in Vancouver Chinatown doesn't have what you are looking for, they had a large tank full of live king crab while I was there as well.

They also lied to me and hesitantly said their salmon is wild instead of farm when I asked. Not to mention it had a fishy smell when I brought it home and it did not taste very good at all.
