Ray had previously walked me through the process when my partner had the procedure, so I was already very familiar with how things worked; he made sure that all of my questions were answered (and I had a lot of questions). Dr. Harmon and his team were professional and efficient. During the procedure, Dr. Harmon counted down the time during the process, let me know how each step would proceed, and the whole team made me comfortable during the entire procedure. I would suggest that anyone looking at laser vision correction contact Gailey Eye Clinic to find out more about the process and get your questions answered.

I feel like they must get a kick back by the company that supplies them. When I went to get measured in Bloomington the woman that has worked there for over 30+ years screwed up my measurements. When I returned to get remeasured, which meant another day off of work and another drive to Bloomington, she told me it was my eyes fault for measuring wrong. I had to pay, before they would do the surgery, in full before they would touch me. When they did not figure out the portion my insurance would pay correctly the billing department was very rude. I have had nothing but trouble since my surgery with one of my eyes. To fix it everything requires me to live with it or have another surgery. The light bounces off my left eye making me feel tipsy all the time. I feel like there is something in it that I can not get out making it fee irritated constantly. When they are testing the left eye I see double. I have never had trouble with seeing distance and now I do. To top it off I know have light sensitive eyes and dry eyes which I have never had before. I went from reading glasses to sun glasses. I wish I would have done my homework before I let Gailey do surgery on me. I am now out a lot of money and am going to have to look for someone to fix the mistakes made. I learned the reason the hard way of why they made you pay before they would touch you.

Let just start out by saying Dr. Brownstone was a nice guy on each visit, never seemed to have rushed through the appointments and always ensured me I was a good candidate for Lasik surgery. Up until the spring of 2008. Everything was fine up to my first surgery date. Day of surgery - I arrived ahead of schedule looking forward to finally being able to ditch the glasses and contacts that I had become so accustomed to wearing since grade 1. Finally - I can wake up and not scramble for my glasses to see the world. Surgery went well - I had 44 and 42 seconds on each eye under the laser - which I thought was an eternity of trying to stare at a blurry hazy purple light. When the Dr. said surgery went well and said I was all done, upon sitting up I could immediately see the difference - although foggy at the time I could make out the sign on the door approx 15 feet away. Recovery was quick and easy. Excited with my new outlook on life I was ready to toss the prescriptions glasses and contacts. Everything was fine and dandy until the winter of 2007. Approx 10 months later my vision was gradually decreasing and getting noticeably blurry (especially in my left eye) causing headaches and having difficulty focusing on screens at work. Dr. Brownstone suggested a "touch-up surgery" on my left eye. January 2008, again arrived early for the touch up surgery, hoping this would resolve the issues as I was assured by Dr. Brownstone that it would. Surgery was quick with significantly less time under the laser for the 2nd treatment on my left eye. The touch-up seemed to have worked when I immediately sat up, again foggy but clearer. went home for recovery. The days following surgery I could see my eye sight was getting blurry once again in my left eye. The response I received from Dr. Brownstone was shocking - "Its not that bad and you'll still be able to drive". This is my eyesight - "its not that bad" is not in my vocabulary when it comes to vision. 2008, I moved from Champaign to Chicago - Thankfully I was transferred through work. I was getting nowhere with Dr. Brownstones offices. 2008-2012 I have been seeing two very competent and knowledgeable eye Dr's/surgeons who know their stuff. Since 2008 I have been blinded in my left eye - the eye progressed to the point where any dominant color in my view becomes the main thing I see through my left eye - leaving me fighting to focus between my right and left. Between my two new Dr's and hours of countless trips to the offices we have been able to find a scleral lens that is able to produce some type of clarity out of my left eye. Although its not clear it brings back my depth perception and reduces the headaches. Night driving is still rough with halo's and dark spots. The issue with my left eye cannot be fixed by glasses.. It can only be "fixed" by special, expensive contact lenses. My right eye has also degenerated to the point where I need special contacts to see out of my right eye. So far we're trying RGP lenses in my right eye to bring clearer vision back into sight. Dr. Brownstones office up to the second surgery was quick attentive, quick to return calls after the second surgery and left eye sight became blurry once again it was like I had caught the plague. It was a challenge to get in touch with someone and I was constantly told: It was ok Would or could get better In time the halos will disappear Your eye-sight won't get any worse. Very disappointed overall of my care under Dr. Brownstone. This mess has and probably will affect me for the rest of my life. Constant care under eye specialists, glasses cannot fix the problem so once I take the special contact lenses out I am blind for the night... I would give this review zero stars if possible. This was a life changer and I hope the review helps you on your search for the right Lasik eye dr. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I have and still am going through....

I can't find much of anything to complain about. A great experience all-around!…read more First, the whole process was easy. After the initial paperwork, I was immediately taken in for eye tests and then promptly seen by the doctor (Dr. Ronald Suarez, OD - who was absolutely awesome!). Out of all my years of annual eye exams, this exam was definitely the most efficient; quick yet thorough. They did not have the brand of contact I have been using for years in my new prescription's strength, so Dr. Suarez gave me a trial of a new brand to try. The new brand he gave was still slightly off on the exact prescription, so he gave me a sample pair in the strength closest to my prescription, and will give me a new sample pair after the ones for my prescription come in. (Long story short, he basically gave me two pairs of contacts to try for free with the exam). I usually take the prescription from my eye exam and buy my contacts online. However, All About Eyes had about the same price for contacts as the cheapest place I could find online (and without all the hassles of coupons and mail-in rebates). So I simply bought my contacts in-store. Plus, with the sample contact lenses they gave me, it allows me to try the new brand of contacts before opening the actual box of contacts I purchased (free exchanges for unopened boxes of contacts; no questions asked). I was then seen by Tallie W., who handled all the insurance info. She was also very courteous and helpful. Dr. Ronald Suarez and Tallie W. were great from start to finish. Overall, I was really impressed with this place. I will definitely be coming back to All About Eyes for my next annual eye exam and to order contacts.

Everything was fine when I came back for the appointment and through the appointment but after they got my orders in for glasses and sunglasses they apparently were made incorrectly because when I tried them it definitely wasn't my prescription as everything was blurry. The girl I talked to about it looked over paperwork and confirmed something was wrong so they had to remake them. This was like two weeks ago and haven't heard anything back from them since. Trying to give them the patience they didn't give me when I was 6 minutes late on my first appointment. Going to bring going in soon and if they are still not I'm going to just ask for my $400 back.
