Carmel Digital Media Lab - Lots of computers with software like Lightroom, Photoshop and more

The Carmel Digital Media Lab deserves 10 stars for how awesome it is. And best of all, all of the…read moreservices that they provide are free to the community! So, if you need to use some photo-editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) or want to record a podcast or some music (they have a recording room) or take some headshots (they have profession lighting equipment available), then you can. They really want everyone to stop in and be creative. The only thing they charge for is the use of their 3-D printer. But it's a nominal charge and depends on the size of the thing you want to create. I believe the prices are tiered, and they go from $3 to $5 to $7. But even at $7, that's a deal to use a 3-D printer! When we stopped by, the librarian at the desk was making some fangs or teeth or something crazy like that. The people who work here are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all the equipment and services. They are also frequently setting up community events, such as evening group photo shoots around the Arts District and photo contests. I am so glad that the Carmel Library created the Digital Media Lab. It's such a benefit to the community!

We visited during an open house as part of the Gallery Walk. I had no idea this awesome place even existed! I am very glad we found it and think it is an amazing extension of the library! They have 3-D Printers and they can make you things for just the cost of materials! It was so cool to see the printers in action and we ordered some PI earrings and an SD card tray to keep all our cards in one place. It takes a few days to a week till your item is done, but they thought the tray would take 4 hours to print so not like you want to wait for it. I am super excited to get our newly printed items. They had some examples out to see. But I bet they can make even more! You pay with paypal before you pick up. At the open house we got to hop in front of a green screen and they photoshopped us into a boat scene! You can also sign up to use the computers and I saw on their FB page they sometimes offer classes! This is such an amazing place! They even have an audio recording suite and you can do a podcast! Make sure you get your library card and check it out!

I'm not sure if the catering is set up by the venue or the host, but it was very nice. You can rent the building that includes several bedrooms. Based on the tour, it seemed the home still has most of it's original features. There is quite a bit of parking available and you don't find a TV in every room so it's perfect to stay a bit off the grid. I look forward to coming back for one of their hosted events to see what else there is to offer.

They did a great breakfast and made it a personal interest that we were happy there. They were easy to talk to and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. In between going to events we got to relax and have some good conversations with them about things to do in Indianapolis. They are the jem of this place. The house is very historical. We love the architecture and the character it carries. It felt like living back in time before tv's and cell phones took our time from us. Very clean. I slept like a rock in the comfortable bed. I am thankful these places still exist and the atmosphere that brings family together. I can't wait to stay there again next year.

Since 2021, I have placed dozens of orders through Market Wagon's website. Unlike competing companies' food delivery services, Market Wagon does not automatically send pre-selected foods. Instead, I choose when I shop and what exact products that I buy each week. I also like that the website allows me to ask questions about products and to review my purchased items. On a predetermined day of the week, the company's drivers deliver my order in reusable totes to my front door. The deliveries have occurred on time, and the drivers have been friendly. Delivery does cost several dollars, and you can add an optional tip. During my next delivery, I leave out my totes and ice packs, and the drivers return them to the company for reuse. I deducted 1.5 stars from my review because I cannot do all of my grocery shopping here, and because the vendors often run out of particular products. Sometimes MarketWagon automatically gives me a refund, and other times I must contact them and ask.

Absolutely amazing!…read more We love that during the winter months (and summer too) we can obtain local produce to both improve our health and support local Indiana businesses and farms. We have been ordering off and on for a few months and find that they are consistently efficient, on time, have courteous drivers and a ton of great options to choose from for purchasing. We especially live that they have gluten free options like Native Bread which is too far from our home for us to make it there during the week to buy bread staples. But now we can get it delivered! We recommend trying this out to many, especially those with a desire to support local and get organic items throughout the year. Love it!
