My partner had the lamb kabobs, which were very good, though slightly chewy given the temperature they were cooked to; this was not a fault of the restaurant, just a personal preference. The music selection was old-school hip hop, which added an amazing, cool vibe to the space. After dinner, we were able to sit and work on our laptops without any interruptions, which was a huge plus. Overall, this is a great spot for a chill date night or a dinner-and-work stop for professionals. I'm really looking forward to going back.

I like how they prepare their tofu - the texture is perfect for holding sauce. The lavender milk tea was the basic stuff from a premade mix. Not bad but not great. I think they may just have used too much of the mix because the drink was very sweet and a little thick. The grass jelly was also firmer than usual so I suspect this was a premade canned brand of not particularly high quality. I do sometimes like bubble tea made from tea mixes, so I might try different flavours and toppings to see if other options are better. They had regular waiter service this time. I had a different waitress than last time. She mentioned that she had just started, but she was very nice and did great.

I'm hoping it was just an off day. The young cashier seemed like she did not want to be there and I totally feel her, I remember being that age and not wanting to work, so it may also be a staffing issue as well. I said that was fine and still was willing to pay the regular rate even though the room was not treated. I sent over the deposit, and texted the guy confirming if I needed to pay the engineer the remaining and ashes what the remaining total was. For over an hour he never responded, so I ended up booking at another studio. Finally when I text the guy again telling him that I booked somewhere else and to cancel my session and refund me the deposit , he immediately texts me back. He would not give me a refund. I filed a claim with my payment processor so I will be getting my money back that way.

Folks here have worked with the likes of Gavin DeGraw, Snoop Dogg, The Goo Goo Dolls, DMX, B.o.B., Big Sean, Mac Miller, Mike Posner, The Fray, Jadakiss, Alanis Morissette, Tory Lanez, Stereophonics, William Michael Morgan, Big Smo, Jelly Roll, Nappy Roots, Ryan Tedder, Busta Rhymes, Wiz Khalifa, Mike Epps, and John Legend. I was here for fairly simple podcast recording. In this setting, it's reasonable to be concerned about accessibility. This is a modestly-sized building in Broad Ripple with a handful of parking spots. Street parking is also available all around it. They do have one accessible parking spot, not quite ADA, but I opted to park on the street as it gave me better access. The side entrance works better for accessibility. I had no trouble getting in it in a wheelchair. The doorways were right about 32" - right at ADA requirements. I also found the studio to be pretty darn workable with one bit of a bump to get over some cords. The podcast set-up was ideal for a wheelchair, though I will note they also knew I was coming in advance. I find in unique settings it's just helpful to let folks know in advance. The staff I met were all friendly and helpful. The setting was inviting and very conducive to recording. I'd imagine I was in one of the smaller studios, though it looked like it could be easily adapted. I'm not an expert in recording, however, I was impressed with the set-up and the effort to make guests comfortable. This was a positive experience all around for me and definitely made me intrigued about the idea of my own podcast recording in the future. I would easily return.

Stereotypical jokes more often than none. With that being said over time I couldn't help but notice their staff isn't very diverse. I want to bring my husband and kids to my sessions but I'm afraid they'd be offended or feel not welcomed  :-/

I was at The Spotlight Event Center for a family event. I did not know that there was even an event…read morecenter on Binford Blvd, less than 5 minutes away from the former Glendale mall. It was nice to go to a nice venue without having to go way out from Indy. Most venues I have been traveling either far west or far east or downtown from me which means a 20-30 minute drive. With the recent snow and cold, I appreciated The Spotlight Event Center being ultra convenient. The is a raised stage area made of one step with spotlight and in the daytime sunlight comes through nicely. There seems to be plenty of space for it seems up to 100 people. The event that I was at had about 50 people and we were not crowded in. There is one bathroom with a changing table, a bar sink area but I didn't see a refrigerator or stove if you need to keep food/beverages cold or heat food up. I can see the space being used for an intimate wedding, engagement party, bridal or baby shower easily. Since The Spotlight Event Center is in the shopping strip where Blind Owl brewery, Peak Performance, etc there is plenty of space for parking. I cannot review pricing since I didn't book this event, or other contractual details. I am definitely going to keep The Spotlight Event Center in mind as a venue if I need a space for an event.
