Talbots, I never understood why my mom was such a loyal customer to talbots, she has been a…read morecustomer for three decades, has held a rewards card and everything and obviously you can see by Talbots ever shrinking retail space at the grove, no one is really coming out anymore. my mom is now in her 70's still working, co workers pitched in and got her a 500 gift card. My mom was so taken back by the gesture she never finds herself worthy of anything and lives a very minimalist life, she went to Talbots saw boots on sale and made one transaction the retail associate checking her out said i can apply the credits to your credit account so you don't need to worry about all these separate transactions and my mom said no no just deduct it from the gift card don't involve my visa account and it was done anyways and no balance was applied and she was charged for her boots, so her gift card was stolen and she was charged. I kept trying to go there after work during Xmas and they would be close two hours prior to their already modified "Christmas hours" elder abuse alert. not cool.

Unfortunately the downturn in retail shopping isn't helping this place out any. While some areas of the mall are bustling there are others that are in disrepair and many spaces vacant in a barren retail desert. They did update one area which seems nice but there are broken escalators, leaky ceilings and other things that just need the attention of the maintenance crew to address. It will definitely be interesting to see what this $500 million rejuvenation project will do to this property --- and at what cost to the taxpayer and traffic patterns.

I was in and out of billabong with a perfect sized wetsuit in 20 minutes. Owner was very knowledgeable and made sure i got what i came for and that was a properly fitting wetsuit. Staff was very friendly and i will definitely go back to billabong. I'd also like to mention how the owner did not try to sell me on the most expensive and bank breaking suit. He found the proper one for me and i was more than happy with the assistance.
