Beautiful flowers. Equally important, beautiful owners. I always take the same flowers to the cemetery once a year. This year, I forgot to look for them ahead of time. I went to the florist and she didn't have any. She went out of her way to get them delivered to her store within a few hours so that I could continue my 17 year tradition. This florist has my deepest thanks. read more

Had ordered flowers to my girlfriends apartment and they didn't bother calling her when they arrived (even though I left both our numbers on the details), they delivered it to another door in the same apartment and left it at that. When my girlfriend called them back up about it she stated "its not their responsibility". I can even contact them for any compensation as they don't have an email address and I can not call as I am living in the UK. read more

Today was my coworkers last day at work and I wanted to send her some flowers. It's always difficult to know how delivered flowers will match up to the picture on the site but these were perfect and delivered pretty quickly. There was also a card issue that they called me about and when I returned the call they answered quickly and we were able to solve it easily. read more

Great service! The new owners actually answered the phone and same day delivery. I know they have an amazing selection of flowers and even received a call from the owner to add a special touch to the roses. Customer service is top notch and the value for the quality is bar none. My love of my life was happy after she received the flowers. My go to place for flowers! read more

I am extremely disappointed with my entire experience! I ordered the premium offering of a red tulip arrangement for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday. I requested that they be delivered NO later than 11 am. I called the florist several times after 11 am to track down the flowers. I was told by a gentleman, the first time, that the driver had left them at the front desk of the hotel. I checked with the staff at the Marriott; they did not receive a flower delivery. The second call, a young woman answered and said that the owner was going to bring out the flowers to me. I called again, they said she was close by. 40 min later the flowers arrive. They are nothing like the picture. The flowers were NOT even in full bloom. I showed her the picture vs what she delivered. She said that she purposely picked these so we could enjoy them longer. Wth! I did not request that!!! I needed them for a party I was throwing today. I requested my money back. She said she'd compensate me 50% back once she got back to the office today. No refund came. I called and was hung up on when I questioned this further by a gentleman. I then called multiple times I man a row after. He picked up, listened then told me he knew knotting about this matter and that he'd have the owner call me. That did NOT happen either. ! I still cannot believe what happened today. I live in California; my family came out to celebrate. I ordered flowers to elevate stress and hassle- or so I thought. See picture below! I feel I was ripped off!!! Don't waste your money. read more

Placed an order online for same day delivery, had specific instruction to have it delivered before 2pm, I placed the order in the morning and the distance between the store and delivery address is barely 3 miles. My recipient did not receive the delivery. I did not get any call or notification that it was not delivered or has a problem somewhere. I called this morning and I was told they delivered at 5pm and the delivery address was already closed. Of course it will be close. I have requested a before 2pm delivery. If they told me they can't meet my request, I would have canceled my order. Someone even called me for my credit card CVV, but did not say anything about having issue with delivery time. I don't recommend this place, very unreliable. read more

I went to blooming city flower with a tight budget for my wedding. Lee listened to me and gave me some really good advice about my centerpieces. I showed her some pictures and she nailed it. My centerpieces were way better than any of the pictures I shared with her. She transformed my simple hotel meeting room into this romantic ceremony venue. Everyone who had seen the venue before the floral decoration was amazed at how the venue looked. There were some last minute additions by me but Lee was very nice about it. I told her that I wanted a hydrangea centerpiece for my place card table. I have never seen a better arrangement of hydrangeas than what she had for me. Every single guest commented on the flower arrangements. My final price did go up than what I had budgeted but it was only because I added some last minute flower arrangements. It was still way below than what some of the other florist had quoted. Lee is very professional. She will hear you out and give her suggestions. And most of the time, she is right :). She saved me from some major expenses. I trusted her decisions. I will add some pictures when I receive them from my photographer but if you are thinking about a florist and want an impeccable job, contact Lee. read more

Flowers Needed for Wedding in 2014. Amazing! I loved my flowers. I had a simple dinner with friends. I showed Ms. Lee a picture of what I wanted and my budget. Bloomingcity recommended that I get a low flower centerpiece instead of the high vase piece. The only downside was that I was a bit overcharged than the price that we agreed on. But, the flowers were beautiful. read more

Do not ask for delivery. Blooming City will not deliver if it requires any effort on their part. Disappointing for a florist that claims to offer delivery. read more

I cannot day enough good things about my experience yesterday. I ordered through Postmates, at literally the last minute. A florist phoned me to clarify my request (two pretty bouquets) and thirty minutes later (I'm not kidding!) there was a delivery person holding two gorgeous, tasteful bouquets at my door. What's more, the flowers were within my stated budget. Just amazing. I truly appreciate it. read more

I can not believe that I have lived 6 blocks away from this flower place and never noticed them until I searched for a flower place on my phone. I always hated buying flowers from Jewel Osco as its always a hit or miss. Some time you will find fresh flowers and most of the time, old stale flowers. In any case, I was very pleased with the service here and the large selection of fresh flowers to choose from. I will definitely be frequenting this place more often for all my flower needs as I love supporting local businesses. read more

WOW! I just used Bloom City for my flowers and they were amazing!! I went with Bloom City based on a recommendation and am so thrilled that I did. They really went above and beyond to create a BEAUTIFUL wedding. My center pieces were gorgeous, my chuppah was phenomenal... I remember walking in the room and thinking, "this is sooooo pretty....". I would absolutely hire Bloom City again. They are a very small florist, but they were wonderful to work with. My flowers were fresh and prettier than I would have ever thought ... honestly. The bouquets were full and fresh and I received so many compliments... Definitely look into Bloom City for your next event. Mrs. Lee is very organized and she has wonderful ideas. Everything was beyond expectations. read more

Wow. The gentleman was very kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and creative. I just told him what the occasion was and he started building the bouquet from scratch. It was beautiful to watch. He asked me all the right questions and the end product was something I've never seen before. For lack of better word, it was beautiful. I loved it! read more

I came to order a bouquet for my friend's graduation. I ordered a bouquet of red roses and was charged $50. When I came to pick it up, it was only three red roses!!! And two or three yellow flowers (not roses) and some tiny fillers plants. I was so upset because I didn't get what was promised and the bouquet was so small, not even pretty. I'm never coming back. They ripped me off. I had to go to Marianos afterward to get a bouquet of all red roses for half the price. Make sure before you order, look at pictures to make sure you know what you will be getting. read more

Wow! That's what the bride, bridesmaids, and all the guests had to say about the stunning work Lee and her team did for my daughter's peacock wedding. A week later and I still have some of the beautiful blossoms in my home - still loving the colors! read more

They are so reasonable compared to other places in the area, and such a joy to work with. I needed boutonnieres for an event, and other places in the area were asking for twice as much (way overpriced in my opinion). Blooming City has a great selection of flowers and will order anything you ask. What makes them special is their customer service. A friend for whom I had special ordered flowers became seriously ill before the arrangement could be delivered. A week passed and not only was Lee understanding, she re-ordered the flowers, at no additional cost to me, and had them delivered once he was released from the hospital. This level of service is a rare commodity today and I am most appreciative. read more

Wonderful , wonderful. Had a great hassle free experience here. Needed a flower arrangement for a funeral and came in the day before. The man at the counter was very kind, patient and helpful. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and told him which colors I wanted in the arrangement. When I saw the arrangement the next day I was astounded at how he got my vision exactly and how it came out even more beautifully than I had imagined. He definitely listens to his customers and cares. Will continue to use this place as my number one shop for any floral needs that may arise. Highly highly reccomended. The prices are also very fair and he will work within your budget to give you the best arrangement he can. read more

I called from Oakland, CA to arrange for flowers for Mother's Day, just picking Bloom City because of its proximity and also because of one favorable review (the only review, I should say). I gave Mrs. Lee the amount I wanted to spend and asked if she could include specific flowers. My mother received a wonderful bouquet and everyone was happy. My niece picked up the bouquet, so I can't speak for delivery service, but I do recommend Bloom City as a place where your request will receive personal attention and where you can trust them to deliver on your request, even from a distance. read more

Last feb 14 2015, last minute gift , So happy to come across this place, so long that i been hopping from flower shop to flower shop, even online but they dont deliver you the quality and arrangement that you like until i went inside this store, there was line, i dont mind the line cause nice quality of flowers are sorrounding you, then my turn she welcome me and then smile, a smile that she is willing to help you, face not tired or a face with attitude, just a warm face, then i showed her a picture that i like my bouquet to be and she help me, ask me how much am i willing to spend and i only waited for 15 mins. Started on one stem until the arrangement was done, she ask me of i like it or not but for me im satisfied, she listened to me from the start and she delivers and well thought out arrangement, thumbs up, good service and quality!!!! GOOD JOB GUYS!!!!! read more

There are probably not enough words to say how fabulous this florist is. We had a somewhat last minute wedding and we decided to pop into our local florist for help. We got married at the Hard Rock Hotel on Michigan Avenue and did not have the typical wedding. It was all music and rock themed. From the minute I spoke with Lee, she went along with some of my out of the box ideas and then some. I thought I knew exactly what I was getting but on my wedding day, we were blown away! Lee and her staff went well above and beyond what I could have ever hoped for! The ceremony and reception were breathtaking and romantic, but still had the edgy feel we wanted. Lee is so kind and calm and I would never use another florist again. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and we will be forever customers. read more

Blooming City Flowers made all of the arrangements for our wedding in Sept. 2011. When trying to decide on a florist, we visited several competitors and felt that Blooming City had the freshest flowers for the most reasonable price. We live in the area and I have ordered flowers for my wife several times, so we were very familiar with the quality of their flowers. All of the bouquets we've gotten from Lee have been extremely fresh and lasted a long time. The arrangements Lee made for our wedding were beautiful and very well done. We are very happy with the level of service and quality of flowers Lee delivered! read more

I was so happy with how my flowers turned out for my wedding. I spent months trying to work with different florists with my tight budget, and Blooming City flowers was the only one willing to work with me and explained different ways we could save while still achieving what I was hoping for, I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to get until the day of.. all I had done was given my ideas, budget and the theme of my wedding. I had a large order for the bridal party (we didn't do flowers at the reception) and every single piece ended up being better than what I could have imagined! We made sure to keep the bouquets hydrated and followed instructions, and the flowers looked alive even the next day! I highly recommend them!!!!! read more

HORRIBLE! Not only are the flowers half dead but the customer service is the worst! I went in to buy some flowers for my bridal shower and received horrible service from a man working there. So rude. I chose my flowers and while checking out I was reviewing the price with my mom and he just snatched the flowers and said "ok you don't want them?!" Soo rude. I left the flowers there and left. Don't recommend it. The flowers are way too over priced anyways read more

Needed a floral arrangement for a family re-union/birthday/death get together in which the pressure was a bit high to impress. I stopped in, told the lovely woman at the desk my budget, and wanted Asian-Modern design to present on a large buffet table. I never expected something so beautiful and wonderfl at the same time. read more

I ordered flowers for my girlfriend who lives in Chicago, I live out of state so it was nerve racking trying to find a local flower shop who would deliver to her at work, and I am always skeptical ordering flowers if I cant actually see the arrangement first.
