While they attempted a few treatments, I experienced little to no improvement. From the very beginning, Dr. Lori was different. She took the time, showed patience, and approached my case with both skill and determination. Over the course of many procedures, she has made a truly significant difference--not only in reducing my pain, but also in the appearance of my legs. She also treated the large, rope-like veins in my hands that had been very embarrassing for me, and the results have been remarkable. Currently, she is carefully treating areas affected by phlebitis and cellulitis with the utmost attention and compassion. I travel nearly an hour to see her, even though there are vein doctors much closer to where I live. She is absolutely worth the trip. At this point, I feel she has become more than just my doctor--she feels like a friend. Her combination of expertise, dedication, and genuine care is rare. I truly cannot praise her enough and would recommend her to anyone dealing with complex vein issues.

Having been under the care of four different vein specialists over the past three decades with marginal success, my experience with Dr. Greenwald was a turning point. Her expertise and personalized approach truly set her apart. Donna Ploski

However, when you need to go to one - it's good to know there are physician's like Dr. Steven Selden, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, who are willing and able to put you back together and keep you moving forward. As an athlete himself, he knows that injuries however big or small can be earth shattering to his patients - whether they are sports enthusiasts or not. I have been seeking treatment with him for several years for various ailments - from several bouts of tendinitis to a more recent stress injury - and he has always been very caring and compassionate - answering all of my questions and concerns and taking the time to make sure I understate my diagnosis and treatment options. I have never felt rushed and always feel that I have received a thorough examination. Additionally, the staff at Orthopedic Associates of Central Connecticut, where he practices, have always worked at a level of professionalism that has not wavered even on my worse days. They see a variety of pain and suffering daily but have always been pleasant to me and others that I have seen them interact with while waiting to see Dr. Selden. I always hope that when I finally get a clean bill of heath that this will be the last time I will need to see Dr. Selden, but I am appreciative and comforted by the fact that if necessary, he will be there to get me back on the road - literally - to recovery

The place runs smoothly, something I really appreciate. You can even make a coffee while you fill out your paperwork. Dr. Bissell himself is a great doctor. He genuinely listens and considers a patient's input as valuable. I felt like I could explain my symptoms using my own words, and that I wasn't being dismissed as not knowing what I'm talking about. That can be rare these days. I felt like he "got it." Dr. Bissell thinks before he speaks--you can almost see the gears cranking. He explains everything in medical and in layman's terms. I could actually grasp everything he was telling me. We went over everything he was thinking--possibilities, options, outcomes. He is a doctor who truly works with and for his patients. Dr. Bissell is also a talented surgeon. I did end up needing a surgery, and was in excellent hands. I trust him. Dr. B also has a very fine mind. Where other very good doctors missed connecting the "dots" of my symptoms (entirely understandable, and I don't blame them at all), he saw clearly what the underlying problem was...and got me on the right track. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Bissell for all his hard work on my behalf, and I would highly recommend him!
