By the way, he still has an active online booking calendar. Thom and I spoke at length about my cut and color before he started. For 3 hours he "worked"on my hair and then told me what I owed him. Shocked I said, aren't you going to use foils and color my hair? His reply, "Oh foils are so expensive. I just gave you a reset. Let's do your color next time". Since we were already 3 hours in I agreed to this odd request. Turns out Thom isn't physically able to do hair anymore. My hair is a shaggy mess. He barely trimmed the ends and didn't color it at all. He suddenly retired a couple days after he left my hair uncompleted and he refuses to refund my money because he "doesn't like my tone". I spoke to the owner of the salon whose only reaction was pity for Thom and his troubles and anger and aggression when I requested my money back. He said, "Just take the hit. Maybe one of my girls can get you on their schedule to fix your cut". Aggressive and sexist in the same sentence. Very professional. He entirely missed my point that his buddy was fraudently representing himself as a capable hair stylist while working in his salon and actively booking appointments while he was unable to hold a pair of scissors, and then charging more than $200 for all the things he didn't do. Now, mind you, she didn't communicate with me what I wanted and in my professional life, you always ask the customer/client what they want from their hair. My roots were and still are 3" of grey and she didn't even look at that to tell me if she did the dark streaks yes, it looks like ugly streaks) it would look worse. She went ahead and did this to my hair and then said if I wanted my roots done (after the fact), I would have to pay her another $60.00 when she already had the color mixed in the bowl. That's just absurd, wouldn't you ask the client if they wanted their roots done at the very beginning and then discuss a price? I even let her know my budget was $90.00 before I arrived, she said nothing and then she tried to finagle me out $110.00 after our text messages prior to the appointment. This is not very professional and I hope if you're reading this, never go to Karissa at this salon. She'll do a krappy job then charge you and see if you pay her for her shitty job. I asked her for a refund several times and she ignored/ghosted my messages. I let her know that if she refunded my $90.00 I wouldn't do a c redit card dispute. I gave her until 3pm today (monday, 3/14) and she never responded, I even said I would put a review on Yelp if she ignored me I've gone ahead and called my bank and they said I could dispute the charges and she should have been more professional and honored my request. Another thing, why would I go back to have my roots done, pay her another $60.00 and have her screw that up also? NO WAY, my trust in her is in the toilet. I even gave her a $20.00 tip.....DUMMY ME. She deserves nothing because I have to pay 120.00 to have my hair fixed.

I always get a mid fade, and in my experience it's really hard to find somebody who gives a really good fade. I found Tara through a recommendation. I literally stopped a stranger who had a nice haircut and I said hey where do you get your haircut? And he referred me to Tara. I could not be more pleased with the results. It was an absolutely great haircut, it's like she's been cutting my hair for years. It looks great, it did not take too long, she was great about scheduling, the price is more than reasonable especially for the quality of cut that you're getting. I often get cut too short in the front so I am a bit cautious about it. My hair is a nightmare to cut (thick but fine, straight on top and wavy on the bottom) and Hannah had no problem when I asked she use a razor so it blends. Also did a two color foil beautifully! I get complimented all the time because it looks so pretty, a blonde and a rust color. Turned out wonderfully! Hannah responds to my texts, is very reasonably priced and could not be any nicer!
