I always get a mid fade, and in my experience it's really hard to find somebody who gives a really good fade. I found Tara through a recommendation. I literally stopped a stranger who had a nice haircut and I said hey where do you get your haircut? And he referred me to Tara. I could not be more pleased with the results. It was an absolutely great haircut, it's like she's been cutting my hair for years. It looks great, it did not take too long, she was great about scheduling, the price is more than reasonable especially for the quality of cut that you're getting. I had super long hair, which I no longer had time to style or take care of after my son was born. So, I decided to go for a lob and get rid of 10 inches or so. At first, I was a bit nervous, but Kayla took a cautious approach and trimmed it gradually. She'd take a couple inches off and asked how I felt, until we reached the desired length. I loved the results! The way she layered it is beautiful and makes it really easy to style. Then, it was time to fix the patchy multicolor mess that resulted from too many at-home coloring sessions due to COVID. My regular salon closed during covid so I had to find a new one. Was looking for a gentle perm and cut... only a couple places in town even do perms ‍. Kayla got me right in within a couple days and she did an amazing job! So hard to trust new stylists but she made sure to talk everything through with me before doing anything (which is surprisingly hard to find!). She did a really cute perm with two different size rods and alternating directions in order to make it look natural and cut it to a pixie style exactly how I wanted. CAUTION!! Get your hair done at this salon at your own risk!! I attempted to get my hair cut and…read morecolored a couple weeks ago by Thom. By the way, he still has an active online booking calendar. Thom and I spoke at length about my cut and color before he started. For 3 hours he "worked"on my hair and then told me what I owed him. Shocked I said, aren't you going to use foils and color my hair? His reply, "Oh foils are so expensive. I just gave you a reset. Let's do your color next time". Since we were already 3 hours in I agreed to this odd request. Turns out Thom isn't physically able to do hair anymore. My hair is a shaggy mess. He barely trimmed the ends and didn't color it at all. He suddenly retired a couple days after he left my hair uncompleted and he refuses to refund my money because he "doesn't like my tone". I spoke to the owner of the salon whose only reaction was pity for Thom and his troubles and anger and aggression when I requested my money back. He said, "Just take the hit. Maybe one of my girls can get you on their schedule to fix your cut". Aggressive and sexist in the same sentence. Very professional. He entirely missed my point that his buddy was fraudently representing himself as a capable hair stylist while working in his salon and actively booking appointments while he was unable to hold a pair of scissors, and then charging more than $200 for all the things he didn't do.
