Food quality is extremly poor. They use some kind of colors that must have disturbed my stomach for two days. I had a special restriction on my food so that may be bad taste could be because of that but quality of food should be good. It was not cheep either. Cost Vs Quality. That is good but I posted what I felt. You should not get offended and shared what other customers felt. I write what I felt and I explained. I had special request without onion garlic food. The dish I was provided, had just simple tomato paste from tin tomato, gravy was very liquidy and my hand had orange color that required deep washing. I am not saying all your dishes are bad as I have not tried, what I got was not meeting basic std. as a customer, I write what I feel after eating. My first meal here, a Wednesday lunch, I selected the Shrimp Thali. It was just "ok". I was disappointed that it wasn't as spicy as I'd like. But, it was my first visit, a "marker", to get a feel for how they season their food. (I find Indian restaurants tend to tone down the spice level for the average American customers, and Indian buffets can be bland.) If I order the Thali lunch again, I'll definitely be upping the spice level. I'm so glad I got the Shrimp Biryani and garlic naan as take out. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. To my extreme delight, it was delicious and yummy spicy. (I will even ask for it to be a little spicier next time and there will definitely be a next time.) It's so wonderful knowing we have a delicious Indian restaurant option here in town that is Big-City-Chicago-worthy. I can't wait to try other items. I'd also like to mention Assad was the most patient and helpful server I can remember in a long time. He answered all our questions, brought us printed menus along with the tablet to order from (but didn't demand we use it). We are newbies to the restaurant, and seniors. I will definitely use the tablet next time so that I can up the spice level on my meals. As to the sound level, it wasn't too loud. We were able to converse without shouting. Bloom was a great place to stop for a family dinner on a road trip. The interior is on the basic and casual end of the scale, but the food is excellent. We over ordered as the portions are generous, but we were happy to take the leftovers for another day. If I could change anything, I'd suggest adding a smaller portion children's menu, adding mango chutney to the menu, and serving alcoholic drinks. Management say there is a bar in the works, so that's coming soon. Friendly staff who made us feel really welcome. I'd def stop here again. read more

First time here, won't be our last. We've had Indian food in some of the best restaurants in New York City, Chicago, you name it. The flavors here are outstanding and they give you a slider on the digital menu to pick the exact amount of spiciness you prefer which was a very nice touch. The cocktails are very fresh and well made and the presentation is on point. The ambience is fantastic as well - plenty of enjoyable LED lighting without overdoing it, and music is at the appropriate volume so you can easily carry on a conversation. I'm pretty critical when it comes to appearances and ambience inside a restaurant, and this place just does everything so tastefully. The food alone will have us coming back, but the whole package is truly unique. The staff and business owner were very hospitable and made our lunch a truly enjoyable experience. We always order from here when we have out of town guests. It's always my birthday request, just the best. I am writing in response to Rakshith comment as it is likely to be misconstrued. Unfortunately his response was tied to one of my previous reviews which I deleted. His comment may be viewed without the correct context and I wanted "right this ship." My comment in question was overly harsh and unfair. Rakshith's response was warranted and appropriate. I admire and appreciate his passion and defense of his team's work. The customer is not always "right" and my case, my words were misplaced. As a well-traveled foodie, the food at Bloom is excellent. Although our initial experience had some room for improvement, one will not be dissappointed. In fact, we drove an hour with our infant son (who is slightly crazy like his daddy) to re-experience thier fantastic variety. We left a 14.00 tip and then in reviewing the receipt found that 14.00 had been added to our bill due to this. I look back at some my older reviews and realize maybe I give too many 5 star reviews. I was going to only go with a 4 star. BUT I started remembering the butter masala dosa and how friendly the owners were then had to change it to 5 stars. As soon as I saw the picture on Yelp of the butter masala dosa, I knew I had to dine here. Yeah, in the picture, it does appear big. It's much bigger in person. Best way I can describe it is it's a like a huge thin and crispy tortilla. It comes with there sauces. The first one was like a spicy hummus. The second like lentil soup. The last one was a tomato sauce similar to what they put on chicken tikka masala. They were all good. After googling it the tortilla like food is the dosa part of the name. It was amazing. Waiting for you inside of the dosa are tasty potatoes. Not traditional kind like you'd eat with an American dish. The yellow tint lead me to believe maybe it has curry mixed in. I probably should have asked the owner. He made a trip to our table to see how things were going. Jokingly pointing out I figured out how to eat it. He answered the questions we had at that moment though. It's nice he takes the time out to greet customers. Oh...I decided to try the Thums Up soda (not misspelled). Our server said it was more of an Indian soda. I'd say it tastes like a flat RC cola. It was ok. I'll definitely make another trip here soon. read more
