Needed a place to eat and found the Broken Spoke! The place next door had an hour wait, so we…read morechecked out the Broken Spoke. The wait was about 15-20 minutes - so much better of a wait time! I like the theme and vibe of the place - the play on bikes and name of the restaurant is perfect. Decor is bike themed but not overly done. Rustic and laid back. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive. All staff were wearing masks. Good drink menu in addition to food. A lot of small plate options but the portion sizes of the small plates could feed at least 2-4 people. I went with sweet potato fries and steak tender bites - delicious! The dipping sauces for the fries had three different options - sweet/savory, loved trying each one. The sweet potato fries were not mushy and had a good crunch. The steak was cooked to perfection - I asked for medium and I got medium! Everyone seemed happy with their food. Restrooms were downstairs. Nice dining option in the city - only con there was no outdoor seating. Picking up on social media - looks like this place used to be Huron St. Pub & Grill not sure if it was a re-branding or new owners. Either way, I hope Broken Spoke is here to stay on the island!

The Po' Boy was our favorite, definitely would go back again. Update: Went for dinner, still a great atmosphere and great service. The tomato basil soup was too salty and we couldn't finish it, the fish tacos were a little fishy, but the Po' Boy was still really good.

A spectacular hidden gem on Mackinac Island in Michigan...!…read more Excellent service, food, amenities, fun, family-friendly and CLEAN...! Pictures didn't do justice...! Keep in mind: 1 - The Inn at Stonecliffe is "a-la-carte" 2 - Carriage rides are 45 mins to & from Stonecliffe because the horses get two or three travel breaks (rest, water or trade) 3 - Carriage rides are only free for arrivals and departures. ($11 one-way, per adult for a ride to Main Street) 4 - Organized activities are complementary 5 - Their two pools are NOT heated ;)

Our room was spacious and well-appointed, the bike rental process was quick and easy, and the grounds were incredibly beautiful. Food options on the property were also good (and expensive). Honestly we didn't feel like leaving the property to do anything else on the island! Very relaxing. One note: their concierge reached out multiple times to confirm our ferry arrival time to make sure they had a carriage ride ready. When we arrived however there was no carriage and we had to wait 30 minutes for the long ride to the Inn on a very crowded carriage. Not the first-rate arrival / welcome we were expecting based on the pre-arrival communication and the cost of the stay. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. It's an expensive place to stay but worth the splurge.
