Our visit started with a less than friendly greeting from the hostess. Fortunately, it improved from there. Our server was great. The food was good. We had chips and salsa, a Reuben and a burger. Had a decent beer selection. The views are awesome.

Casual bar type atmosphere with amazing fried whitefish. Delicious! And of course fried pickles. Wait staff friendly and food comes out efficiently. Nice low key and casual vibe.

Amazing food with a gorgeous view. The fried pickles are definitely a must. And the Taco salad was big enough that I ended up taking half home.

I really wanted to like this place, but was quickly disappointed. We ordered pizza for the kids and it looked like it came out of the microwave (the way the cheese was and the texture of the crust). I ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and it came out with just chicken and lettuce. Neither of those tasted good and I kept hunting inside the wrap for the missing ingredients. I'm talking a zero-effort, bare minimum attempt here. This was some of the worst food I've had in my life, I'd rate it in the bottom 2 places I've visited (even lower than the place in Germany that gave me food poisoning). So, how did it get 2 stars instead of 1? The whole pickle theme is pretty fun and there are pickle hats that they gave us for the kids. We also sat next to an aquarium and that settled down the kids very quickly while entertaining them almost the entire time. The environment is pretty interesting and the beer I had was good, so I think this place would be fun to visit for a few drinks and to relax on the deck. The food was just so bad that none of this mattered. It's been a few weeks now and I still wish that would have just went hungry instead of stopping in here.

Outside dining may have swayed me with an extra star, some of the outside dining is not under shade although is a good spot if traveling with a dog. Outside dining is first come first serve for those tables. Not quick to refill drinks or beers. Appetizer of white fish was beautiful, with only 60% edible due to clumps of excessive breading. The tarter sauce was not tasty. The house salad ranch dressing was very thin and slipped off my semi fresh iceberg lettuce. View awesome. Burgers, pass. French fries, pass ...always pass on those.

Maybe not a place you jump in the car to go to for a night out with your significant other - or maybe it is. Cute little place a little off the beaten path. Service was good not great, definitely not engaging. The beer was cold and there it was quiet enough to have a conversation without screaming. Everyone except us appeared to be local and they were friendly. There's a TV over the bar if there is something you want to watch. We didn't have anything to eat, but there were folks having an early dinner so I suspect that it has to be pretty good. Lots of parking out front, and they also have a place to eat outside when the weather is a little warmer (July!?). If you are in the area it is worth a stop if for not other reason than to read the offers and see the Pickles.

A bit overpriced but a lovely spot in the UP when options can tend to be a bit limited.

(We kind of had a theme going) when you are on the shore of Lake Superior, whitefish is the thing to have.

Stopped in late March for something to eat after a day at the Locks. It appeared relatively empty…read morebut it's a good sized place so it's a bit deceiving to see how many people are there. The lighting is good and the overall atmosphere was chill. Music played in the background and didn't interfere with conversation. 20 beers on tap. A huge bar. A pool table. All kinds of fun to be had! So, let's talk food. A simple front and back menu loaded with goodies. Two different Rueben appetizers speak to the passion of an Irish Pub. It's in the Sault, however, and the fish is the real steal of the show. I judge that everything on this menu is made with care and comes out delicious. The perch are deep fried, light and tender. Their "famous" questo tastes a lot like grandma's rotel and is absolutely delicious. Beers, Bloody Mary's, Fish, Irish fare, burgers, quality service, and plenty of seating make this place a worthy stop for nearly every audience. Come on in and you won't be disappointed. (the prices are too low to mention, imo)

Things were very clean and orderly - even the restrooms. The booths were spacious comfortable. The menu is fairly large and prices are decent. The team here is very friendly and hustles. There was not enough waitress scheduled to handle the post locks crowd. They were spread very thin. The food coming out of the kitchen was very slow as well. We were seated by the window where the food comes out. I was shocked at how long many items sat waiting on a waitress and that there was no heat lamp to help keep food warm. Our sweet potato fries came out cold. The fried pickles were okay. The dill chip was moderately thick with a heavy breading. The chip was touch and couldn't be bit into. The breading was nice and firm and a bit oily. The Cole slaw was pretty good - finely cut cabbage pieces with a thin mayo-vinegar taste. The onion rings were also good. Some rings had a thicker piece of onion. The batter was thick and a bit greasy. The garlic Parmesan wings were okay. The basket consisted of 8 small wings. The wings were battered and fried. The insides were a solid white and fairly moist. The batter was bit crunchy which was nice. The garlic Parmesan sauce didn't really have much garlic or Parmesan taste. It seemed to be a heavy buttery flavor with maybe some seasoning.
