We had a tire blow out ,on July 4...after business hours,no biggie. Rented a U-Haul to drive home-4hrs awaybut we made it! Called Sunday to order a tire and arrange for a tow service. I spoke with the most relieving,calm,kind,selfless women(The Store manager) (unfortunately I can not place her name at the moment) She got everything to a T done for me...Tire ordered Transferred me to the tow service Service appointment scheduled to coordinate with tow service Felt like all we had to do was wait until today(July 6 2026) to make the 4hr drive back down to retrieve our car...Which we did... To then get faced with Jeff(assistant manager) First,he lied to my face that my tire had not been delivered(which I had called at 10am to confirm) As well as he had spoke with my husband 30min prior to our arrival,to say he had the car,tire was ready to be placed on,and our price was what had been discussed on Sunday(with the store manager)...Great! Nope! After I called him out for lying about my tire in fact being there,he walked off,left me standing there...thankfully the wonderful young service tech walked in to ask me if I needed help(I do now-Jeff left the building) after brief conversation,he took care of my car(showed and explained what had happened to our tire-in detail,gave me advice on my other 3)(extremely helpful gentleman)...Jeff finally comes back when the bill is ready,and smirks to say" I only said your tire wasn't here to protect it,Oops even from you"! ...Which was $163 higher than discussed with the actual store manager,and Jeff prior to our arrival...my husband and myself corrected him,his reply "well that what it is"...my husband tells him,Sir you are the one that called and confirmed the price and you also offer price matching! Jeff,goes on to say,"my mistake I had to move the "ticket" to your wife's name cause she ordered the tire...I said to Jeff"why would the price jump because it's in my name",what's the difference?" Pink tax? Or are you upset and trying to get back for lying in my face?-which I asked him!!! He goes in and adjust the price to $1 less than quoted(I'm sorry to mavis tire,Jeff is costing you money, he refused to call in to price match,just did what he called"the back way to discount "! I'm grateful and thankful for the two amazing employee this store has and the tow service driver...But Jeff...he should be watched closely,not allowed to address women the way he does,nor talk to the employees like he does. This isn't my first time here but it was definitely the quickest! My head is still spinning on how…read morequickly I was in and out. Earlier today I noticed that my front driver side tire is looking really bad and didn't want to chance going another day on it. I really don't have the money for a new tire so I stopped in for a used one. They had my size in stock and as I already mentioned I was in and out in no time at all. It was exactly 20 minutes from the time I pulled in to the shop to when I pulled out. I'd definitely recommend for fast and friendly service.

I am surprised to see the negative reviews below. I have used this auto center for oil changes in…read morethe past and, sometimes, it is busy and thus, you can be waiting for a while. That being said, it's not always that way. For example, today, I went in for a high mileage oil change and asked for an air filter change as well. While they were working on my car, they discovered that I actually had a very expensive K&M air filter and said that rather than go to the huge expense of saving it, I could probably just spend $11.00 to clean it. (I ended up getting a new filter anyway, per my husband's request, but I thought it was awesome that they were looking out for the customer.) Delmar (the service representative), Michael (the mechanic), and the checkout service employee (whose names I did not catch, but may be Christopher...but I'm not sure. Nice young man in a tie!) were friendly, professional and got me out of there asap! The check-in, which has changed since I last visited, was very streamlined and I think it helped a great deal with expediting everyone's service. I have purchased tires here and have had service here for a few years now and, again, while it is sometimes slow, I have never had a bad experience here.

The hours are more convenient than other tire places. It's the only place in Walterboro that you…read morecan get a tire on a Sunday. Even with that it is still very much a last choice option for me. Very slow service and employees that just don't care. I watched more riding the clock than I did work. I also think that they should only deal with customers that are in need of products and service related to that section. I had to wait a terribly long time while a bunch of customers used them to buy their groceries and had no reason to be back there, other than trying to skip the lines up front.
