I called him in desperation as my family pulled over at a gas station by I-95 with a flashing check engine light and a jittery engine. He talked me through what was probably happening and gave enough information for me to decide what I needed to do. He was straightforward about what he could do and the fact that it might not be fixable in the hour before he closed, but he offered to get us to a hotel if necessary. The necessary parts were in stock, though, so he stayed a bit late to install them. We went from desperate and fearing a missed vacation to on the road in just over 2 hours. As far as we can tell, he is very competent and honest. We recommend him highly.

The estimate was for $630 primarily driven by the hours of labor it would take. I agreed to the price and he started the work. Upon me picking up the car the next day he told me that it didn't take as long as anticipated, and I only owed $4.12. Over Two hundred LESS! I had already agreed to the higher price and a less honest person would of just took that amount from me. However he didn't take advantage of the situation. Terrific guy and business! However, when I got in my truck to head to worship, the tire sensors indicated that the spare had lost about 10psi overnight! I headed straight to Mavis, where they took me right away, even though I was over an hour early! They had the exact tires I needed at a very reasonable price. Earlier today I noticed that my front driver side tire is looking really bad and didn't want to chance going another day on it. I really don't have the money for a new tire so I stopped in for a used one. They had my size in stock and as I already mentioned I was in and out in no time at all.
