Long time ago I came into BLO BAR with BAD Tangled hair that I couldnt untangle myself I went to many salons and they turned me around because they couldn't do anything about it. When I went into the salon they immediately took me in and their MANAGER and the TEAM worked on my hair and within less than three days they were able to solve the issue. The MANAGER was so flexible, patient, sweet, kind and also was very open with her schedule and prices. The vibes of this salon was very welcoming and caring. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! HORRIBLE BUSINESS MODEL. I called and spoke to the manager because I was interested in getting my makeup and to get a extened blow out . I explained I had never done this before and she asked if it was for a special occasion, in my excitement I told her I was getting married, but it was small at the courthouse, nothing fancy. Just wanted to look nice for some pictures. She told me that each service would be $100 each for a trail run and $150 for each service for the day of the wedding. I set up the appointments. Telling a coworker about this place she looked online and asked why I was quoted so much, because the price to have your makeup with lashes on the website was $90 and a blow out with extended time was $70. I then went to the salon and spoke to a employee and confirmed that was the correct amount. I then asked why I was quoted nearly DOUBLE. She looked and said, "Did you say you were getting married? I said yes, she asked. The employee said, "that's why" but said she would explain that it's a simple wedding and that shouldn't raise the price to the manager. She called me back and said the manager said, it's for a wedding and that's the price. I quickly canceled both appointments. There aren't any wedding prices on their website. This company was trying to take advantage of me because I mentioned wedding. What a horrible business model!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!! read more

I'm a little late writing this, but I got a blowout at this salon a few months ago before heading out of town for my birthday. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the results--especially considering I spent nearly $100. The curls were way too tight and stiff for my liking. Maybe there was some miscommunication, but I was expecting a more traditional blowout with loose waves using a round brush and blow dryer, which is what I've received at other places. They also tried to upsell me on a membership, but I'm glad I passed since I don't plan on returning. read more

Owner doesn't care either as this type of "behavior" starts at the top. AND as proof of the inexperienced management, they will attempt to justify their lack of experience by "arguing" their untenable position in this posting. And it's unfortunate as a business owner you did not have the courtesy of calling me to see if the situations told to you by your recalcitrant employees were in fact, accurate. Furthermore, I attempted to discuss the lack of customer service with you via your social media with no response. That was over two weeks ago. I had an appointment here before a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. The staff was extremely nice but the result lasted less than an hour. I expected my hair to be washed and blow dried but it wasn't- just combed and curled. It took about 30 mins or less and the curls looked okay at first but didn't last long at all. I ended up washing, drying and curling my own hair for the wedding, at the last minute. It was definitely not worth the $40. Here is a picture of my hair a few hours after my appointment. More flat than if I had done it myself. They say the style is supposed to last several days but that was not the case. I had such a great experience here today! I made an appointment today to have my hair blown out before giving a presentation and I was so pleasantly surprised when I showed up. The place is adorable, well decorated and clean and I felt comfortable. My stylist was super sweet and was able to tweak the hairstyle I picked from their hair menu to be exactly what I wanted. I let them know my hair is long and thick before the appointment and they were able to book me for a longer time. I came here on 5/18/18, and I had no idea what to expect. I rarely go to hair salons, yet alone blow dry bars. Right when I walked in, the first thought that came to my mind was "HOW CUTE". Everything was decorated in pink and white with posh chairs and modern mirrors. I was greeted enthusiastically by the owner, Jessica, I believe. She was very sweet and offered me some champagne, water, and snacks. I don't think those are every-day offerings, but I happened to book an appointment on the day of their grand opening, so they had a table with sushi and champagne flutes for all to enjoy! While I was in the chair getting my hair done, I got to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony as well. Pretty cool! My stylist's name was Andrea and she was very welcoming. I explained to her that I have never got a blow out before, so she explained every step along the way, which was very nice. Before getting started, you have a style menu to pick from. I chose the "pillow talk" which is kind of a sultry, beach waves look. All the products smelt SO good. They are also all available for sale, which is probably why she was so keen on the explanations. However, she didn't push me to buy the products too much, which honestly was a relief. The whole process took just under an hour. They also offer make up services at this location, but I just stuck with the blow out. I left feeling super pampered and super pretty! My blow out actually lasted the rest of the weekend with proper care, so my hair looked awesome for the graduations I had to attend on Saturday and Sunday. I was running late because of Holly being late, I had called and let them know and they were very gracious. I had another appointment for make-up on the west side, which I mentioned, and my stylist assured me I could be out in time. She asked another stylist who was free to help her pre-dry (I think) my hair to sped the process and he jumped right in...I have very thick hair. They were friendly and chatting with me throughout the appointment. The space is beautiful and fun. All of the staff members were welcoming and friendly.
