Dr. Kermen also did mine once with zero issues or pain. The only issues I've had here are with the new people who I rarely or have never seen before. Allie had a hard time a while back and had to stick me a couple times. I have probably had 20 IVs between different clinics over the last 4 years, so this is nothing new to me. Today, I went in, and immediately realized the one nurse in here I had never seen before, James. I immediately got anxiety bc I didn't know how it was going to go. He stuck me TWICE in two veins on two different arms that people typically don't struggle with, and had to end up texting another nurse to come in on her day off to see if she could take a look. That nurse was Alicia. After looking me over, she tried a third time and nope, still couldn't get it. While she was looking me over, James was working on another client and couldn't get his in either and needed Alicia to come try that client too! At that point I decided I was over it and my anxiety was so bad. I did not want to keep being stuck, so I left and they refunded me and I sat in my car after and cried. I have a lot of anxiety every time I come in that it's going to hurt, and with Julia, my fears are always taken away, and I feel amazing after. Then I would do some household chores and it would come back even worse. Friday evening I was searching the internet for muscle spasm treatments while laying on the couch after having to leave work early due to the pain. On this search I came across three magical words. TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS. Upon reading these wonderful words I immediately contacted Dr. Prieto. She was able to get me in as soon as Sunday. Upon arriving she explained very the entire process in detail. Including the risks (which I didn't even think of) that could, but not likely to happen. She then examined my neck shoulder. Finding knots all throughout the left side of my upper back including my Levator Scapulae, Romboid Major, Romboid Minor, Longissimus Thoracis, Infraspinatus and Teres Minor. She then Injected into the knots a concoction of anesthetic, Steroid and Toradol having her Medical Assistant (Jan) perform some deep tissue massage to each injection site before moving to the next injection in order make sure the medicine spread as fare as possible breaking up the knots in my muscles. I felt sore and the pain was 30% gone right away. That was yesterday. Last night I slept on my back without a pillow (very hard for me as I am a side sleeper) and upon waking I can honestly say 97% was gone. I have worked all day and am in no pain. I have some soreness from the deep tissue but the actual pain is gone. I will continue to do my PT but this has seriously changed my life. Thank you so much Dr. Prieto for giving me complete free range of motion nearly instantly. If you need a way to stop the pain/spasm/pain cycle, this is it!

Before my visit, I received an intake packet by email and was instructed to complete it ahead of time so the check-in process would be quicker. I filled everything out immediately, including marking the areas where I was experiencing pain, exactly as requested. When I arrived for my appointment, I was handed another copy of the same paperwork. After reviewing it, I was told that the areas I marked did not match what my doctor had written in the referral. Rather than asking questions or trying to better understand why there was a difference, I was left feeling as though I had done something wrong. As a new patient who had been waiting weeks for relief, I walked away from that conversation feeling like my appointment might not even happen because of something that could have easily been clarified. When I met with the chiropractor, I was informed that because of my insurance, he could only see me twice a month and that two visits per month would not be enough to make much of a difference. Hearing that at my very first appointment was discouraging and left me feeling as though my care was not worth the effort. The adjustment itself was extremely brief. The office had several adjustment tables lined up, and patients were moved through one after another in rapid succession. From my perspective, the experience felt more like an assembly line than individualized patient care. I never felt like my concerns or condition were truly being evaluated. After my adjustment, I was told I needed X-rays because the chiropractor did not want to continue treating me without them. Rather than ordering the X-rays directly or coordinating that process, I had to return to my primary care physician to request them myself. Even my doctor commented that this was unusual. I completed the X-rays as instructed and then waited to hear back from the office about scheduling my next appointment. I never received a phone call or any follow-up. Because of the overall experience and lack of communication, I asked my doctor to refer me to another chiropractic office. I was able to get in the very same day, and the chiropractor personally called me to discuss my condition before my appointment. That interaction immediately felt more professional, more personal, and centered around me as a patient. This review reflects my personal experience. My hope is that Churn Creek Chiropractic improves its communication and patient experience so people seeking help feel listened to, cared for, and treated like individuals--not like numbers.
