My daughter wanted a gorgeous dress for prom and this store had tons of them! If you're looking for bold dresses, this is the place to go! Long dresses lined the walls and short dresses were in the middle. They had all shapes and sizes....and even formal clothing for children (girls and boys). They also had a huge selection of ties towards the middle of the store. The employees working there when we went (4/15) were all so nice! They were helpful and didn't try to pressure on us at all. They let us know they were there if we needed them and then let us go through the dresses. When my daughter found THE dress, they all complimented her and made her feel great! There were quite a few dressing rooms (I think 6-7) and two couches to sit on while waiting. I was REALLY happy to have a comfortable place to sit while waiting for my daughter to try on dresses. I was nervous that everything was going to be really expensive. Some dresses are, but they had a sale rack with some fantastic deals (under $100). They have dresses for all budgets. We were very happy with our experience and will definitely come here again to buy a dress! read more

Went Prom shopping with my daughter. Everyone that worked here was very kind and extremely helpful! They explained possible alterations to make the dress fit perfect. The alterations were reasonably priced, completed very quickly, and looked great. The added straps blended seamlessly with the dress. Ogden Bliss had the best prices, selection, and customer service of the 4 different dress shops that we tried in the Layton/Ogden area. We will definitely be back. read more

We went prom dress shopping drove up from Utah County just to be told that it would be a 25.00 fee per dress for my daughter to try on the more puffy dresses and if she didn't choose that dress the money that we paid to try it on wouldn't go towards the purchase! I had called ahead of time asked question and was never told this! Wasted gas and time! The lady was very rude and was not helpful and there were a couple other mom and daughters and she was just as rude to them! Lost my business and I was ready to spend the money! Side note the very young girl up front was sweet a very nice lady in the back is scaring your customers away! read more

Owner was very rude. I'm excited about my second wedding especially after a domestic violence situation. Told her I needed a green bridesmaid dress and because the wedding was a year away she seemed less than interested in helping we were looking to buy today for upcoming photos. She made some off hand remark about not buying a green dress because my daughter might change her hair color in a year. The green is to match the leaf accents in my wedding dress so my daughters hair color is a mute point. If you want some one to rain on your parade by and be treated disrespectfully then this is your place. read more

My 18 year old daughter was told she couldn't try on a dress without a parent or guardian present with her. Looking at the Google reviews, they stereotype people like crazy here. Place needs to go away and never come back! read more

Clothes are soooooo cute and I love coming here but all the employees are pretentious rude little Mormon girls. I'm literally around their age and so I'd think we'd get along but those girls need a good reality check and need to learn how to be respectful of other people. The boss here really needs to fire them or train them how to act right in the real world Yall need a team meeting The only employee that was actually nice to help and talk to was an older man so thank you if you're reading this read more

I used to love this shop and I've gotten all my fancy dresses from there. But recently I went in and even though I am 19 years old and an adult, they told me I had to have 21 or older to try on any dresses. Which has never been a rule and I have tried on dresses before as an 18-year-old. I do not believe this is a rule because it's never been an issue issue and I'm an adult so there should be no problem with me trying on a $300 dress before I buy it. I believe it was discrimination. I love the dresses there, but I will not go to a shop that singles me out for no reason. read more

I went in to buy a dress but when I asked to try one on, they asked "yes, but where are you going?" And I said "I don't know yet, I just like to buy dresses" and she told me I couldn't try it on "for fun" to protect the dresses. I wasn't trying it on for fun, I wanted to buy a dress but apparently you can't try them on unless you're going somewhere. Very rude service, apparently it's only for prom. read more

I sent 2 of my daughters to look for and try on dresses with their adult sister for a formal occasion. They were told that they were not allowed to try on dresses without their mother. Shame on them! I've spent 1000's of dollars on dresses in this store with 5 daughters and now grand daughters that have grown up doing pageants. I called the owner who tried to explain that girls come in to just try on for fun. My daughter told her she was an adult but because she didn't tell them she was a "sister" they were turned away. We will never step foot in Bliss with their extremely over priced poorly made garments again. I encourage you to shop elsewhere. You get better service online! I've had to either mend or have altered almost every dress I have purchased there! read more

Having a "dress emergency" is a crisis I never thought I'd face in life, but so the universe turns at times. Asked to be a bridesmaid in a destination wedding, and 6 months pregnant, I ordered a custom formal maternity dress for the event. Imagine my horror when I received a message stating that I the dress was not going to be delivered due to a Coronavirus outbreak, and would arrive a month after the wedding! Finding a dress in a hurry isn't necessarily a problem, but finding a formal, in a hurry, that will fit a pregnant woman is a different story altogether. Enter bliss. I admit, my husband and I entered with a fair level of doubt. Not only is it obvious that they cater to mostly young girls, but they were very busy and most young ladies had an appointment set up. That said, I went to discuss my situation with the gentleman at the register, who was incredibly kind and sympathetic. He said he knew just the associate to help me, and less than one hour later, I had a dress in the right color and size. I couldn't be more grateful. Bliss really went out of their way to save the day for me. read more

went to go looking for prom dresses with my date, i had 250$ on hand.. plus some. i was a serious buyer. a worker came up and asked a few questions like what color are you going for, and what schools do you go too. i genuinely thought she cared. she then says you can't try on unless you have your mom with you. well... thanks!! i don't have a mom or a dad here so, yeah. i just grabbed his hand and we left. they always have a snarky vibe to them. for the prices their dresses are, they should be doing more. i recommend going to Just Girly Stuff! i went after, and greeted as soon as i walked in. the owner helped me out, picked me out multiple dresses she thought would look good on me. i ended up getting a 300$ dress there, and i don't regret it because they CARED. she helped me zip it, put them away, and gave me advice. read more

I went in to look for a prom dress and since last year I have lost a lot of weight so I don't necessarily know my size. I went in to try on a dress and the lady was very rude and automatically took the dresses out of my hand and demanded I have my mom with me even though I am 18. I was very offended with the way she treated my brother and I. ): read more

Two of my daughters (20 and 17) were trying on dresses a few weeks ago--one for her wedding and the other for her high school homecoming dance. The manager CAME IN THEIR DRESSING ROOM and kicked them out of the store. They were told they couldn't try on dresses unless their mom was with them. Ridiculous! Both girls have worked for years and had their own money. They weren't being disrespectful. I was out of town and couldn't be with them. Why be in the dress business FOR TEENAGERS if you don't allow them to choose their own dresses? Get a new manager, change your policies or go in another business. read more

Extremely rude service management told my daughter's to leave while one was trying on dresses because she (manager) thought she(my daughter) was playing around -she's 17- and was enjoying her prom shopping with her older sister. This store must be making soo much money they can afford to send customers away .SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. Prom dress shopping should be enjoyable read more

The staff member that helped me was not educated on good customer service. She came over about 10 minutes before closing and told us we couldn't use the dressing rooms anymore. Which makes sense as they would be closing soon, but she said it in a very rude manner, indicating that she could care less if we bought anything or not. I could tell it was her first job. I'm ok with people not knowing what they are doing if they ask someone else for help and are polite, but this girl yelled across the counter at my mom telling her that she could not give her a receipt. Then we discovered he reason why was that she didn't know how. This staff member also told a family that was in at the same time as us that they had to have a reason for trying on dresses. Then they proceeded to tell her that the event was some kind of Hispanic tradition that I thought sounded pretty cool. And she was very rude towards them the rest of the time. The reason this gets a 3 star is because they do have a great selection of dresses and I love the sweaters I've got there too! The customer service just isn't where it needs to be. read more
