This salon doesn't even deserve a star. I called to book a pedicure and a full set. The guy that did my fullest seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. My nails are chunky the paint job was rushed. When he asked if I wanted gel I said No thanks and it seemed to annoy him. When I told him I wanted them short he looked at me like I had 10 heads. I would have preferred for the salon to tell me up front that no one was able to do acrylics. The pedicure was amazing!!! But my whole experience was not worth the $100 I spent, I didn't get gel on my toes and got regular polish on my full set. First and last time going there. read more

they don't do a very good job, i have gone here twice for sns and once for a pedicure. the sns has cracked the day after i had it done and my nails have completely broken off (as pictured) within one week, both times. it is free to get your nails repaired, however i don't want to take the time to go in for a repair less than a week after i got them done -- i would like them done right in the first place. the only reason i am giving this place a second star is because nail repair is free and because their pedicure stations are very clean and they use new tools. read more

I was booked for a mani and pedi on Friday 3/30/2018 11:00am (Amanda for pedi and Danielle for mani) I have to say, it's truly amazing how poor their customer service is (front desk) I feel like I literally just threw my money away and should have given my self the mani/pedi. They rush through it, barely cut the cuticle or buffed and the polish application was super messy. I'm not sure how these poor nail techs can actually see in these super dim rooms which are great for the customer to relax, but the actual reason I'm there for (mani/pedi) is not done properly therefore defeats the relaxation. I gave the place a couple of chances, but this time will be my last time there. The woman who was doing my mani was super sweet, but truly must of been off that day or who knows, but she was sooooo shaky , barely touched my cuticles and the polish was all over the place I had to keep telling her to fix my nails that were bubbling up or that had cotton residue. The pedi was okay, Amanda is super nice as well, but same issue cuticles barely touched, feet were not buffed so well, and the polish top coat was half on you could see how uneven it is. (I could of done it myself if I wanted it too look this way) I don't know if maybe they don't give them enough time, or they rush them and that's why they kind of just half ass the entire service. When I was checking out I told the young Asian girl (didn't ask her name) at the front desk I wasn't very happy with the mani, she literally ignored what I said and just answered the phone midway sentence, took my card and charged me. I then said "okay so I'm going to pay for a manicure and pedicure I'm not happy with?" (She didn't even care to ask or look at it, all she said was "next time I'll book you with someone different" NEXT TIME? How about "I'm really sorry you're not happy with your service, would you like your polish touched up, or may I see your nails or I'm sorry for the inconvenience" honestly I could care less how much I had to pay, what mattered was the awful service. I honestly just told the girl "honestly, there won't be a next time, I'm not coming back here" read more

I don't know why the previous reviews are negative. This is a GREAT salon. I have been going to Bliss nails a long time (5 years?). I've tried other salon and I always come back to Bliss. Rachel is the owner and if you have ANY issues, she is very prompt and professional in resolving them. The salon is always clean, immaculate. They use disposable files and sponges as well as a disposable liner for the pedi baths. They do a fabulous job and I'm very particular about my hands. read more

I had a fantastic gel manicure done here. There was availability for the same day when I called in and they took me right on time. The lovely lady who did my nails was VERY meticulous and did a fantastic job. Prices here are super reasonable for Boston so I will be back for my next set :) read more

I really enjoyed my pedicure and gel manicure with Kim the first time so I have gone back a second! Kim's particular about her work as well as consistent; my nails came out perfect both times. The salon itself is cute and clean (following covid regulations) and they have a good selection of colors. Also a plus that they accept Venmo. I will be a repeat customer of Kim's at Bliss! read more

The decor is nice and the place is comfortable but the customer service is lacking. I made a reservation for myself and my friend for hot oil manicures and on top of that, my friend wanted a French manicure. When we got there, they took my friend in first but told her she was only scheduled for a French manicure and wouldn't give her the hot oil treatment. It was around 20 minutes after our reservation when they took me in but at least they let me get the hot oil. In those 20 minutes, no one told me anything and I kept wondering if they'd forgotten me. The time difference was annoying but also made it pointless to make a reservation with a friend. Also, my nail technician wouldn't file my nails how I've always gotten them everywhere else--she said it wasn't possible. And they told my friend that the colors she chose wouldn't work for a French manicure while in the end, she wasn't happy with the colors they made her go with and wished she'd used what she originally chose. After all that, one of my nails chipped 2 hours after it was done :( All I can say is ugh. read more

This place was awesome & super friendly. You really get a nice semi-private experience. The callous gel and exfoliation on the feet is dope, i loved it. 38$ is a bit on the pricy side but the experience is good. Clean supplies, friendly ppl, cool atmosphere. read more

Love this place! Very clean, great service. The pedicures are awesome and are in these private little rooms with 2 seats to a room, so it great to go with a friend and have your own little room together. The manicure I got lasts for weeks, I have been back a couple times since and the experience had been consistent. This will def be new go to nail salon! read more

I give 5 stars for Nina. She does an amazing job with both dip manicures and pedicures. The calf massage is literally to die for. And she always suggests something fun and creative for me to do with my nails. (I like glitter and ombré) it is kind of difficult to get an appointment with her, possibly because she's so good. I hated that before and tried switching nail techs but I had to drive an hour out of my way to get somebody comparable to Nina. Now I'm back to Nina and loyal as ever. read more

I think the prices are reasonable for the nail services. My concern is actually the waxing. The waxing room isn't nearly as clean as the rest of the salon, and I witnessed the employee double dipping the stick into the wax. She claimed they only double dip for eyebrow waxes, but that's still neither sanitary or very reassuring. I would be happy to pay a few dollars more to get an eyebrow wax where I know they do not double dip. I will absolutely return for nail services, I will not return for eyebrow waxes. read more

Would not suggest this place for a dip manicure. They take incredibly long (1h 20m) and don't use the top coat that should finish a dip manicure (the put a gel coat on and put your hands under the lamp). AR Nail Bar is around the corner and provides a much more enjoyable and professional experience for the same price. read more

I've been a long time customer of Bliss Nails. I truly feel they are the best in the business. I am always extremely happy with my manicures and pedicures and the atmosphere is so relaxing and serene. All of the employees are gracious and welcoming. Reading some of the negative reviews I have my suspicions that there are people deliberately making untrue reviews. For those reading this review I hope that you will consider that it's easy to sabotage a business by using Yelp as a weapon. Bliss Salon is a great place. I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Honestly, the service here is great!! 5-star great for sure. I was very pleasantly surprised at the care and length of time spent on my pedicure. The leg massage was amazing and the pumicing (which usually makes me cringe) was not overly ticklish and my feet feel AMAZING! I also got a gel mani that was done very nicely. Nothing felt rushed, all was done carefully and comfortably. It was a little bit of sticker shock at the counter, but I did feel it was a great experience. Probably a trip I would treat myself to once and a while rather than make it my regular salon due to the price. Overall, awesome pedi, good mani, nice staff, pricier than anticipated. read more

I was a bit skeptical on the SNS nails at first but I decided to just go for it and I'm glad I did. Way better than acrylic! I wish I could credit the very nice woman who did my nails but I can't remember her name :/ loved the way they came out. Bring cash for a tip! You cannot tip on your credit card unfortunately :( **Update: Nails came off after one week .. and was being super careful with them. I was told they would last over 2 weeks & these started peeling after 4 days .. very disappointed as these were not cheap.** read more

Bliss Nails Assembly Row - I was advised to go with the SNS nails instead of acrylic and I'm glad I did! - Nail Salons Near Me - Somerville, Massachusetts

I have tried going to bliss multiple times but they are always booked. I usually have limited time in my schedule and cannot plan far ahead. I always call when I want to book the day off witch is understandable when they are all booked. One of the ladies that works for me said their pedicure is to die for. I finally got a chance , called few hours ahead and yes I finally got in. The pedicure was to die for but pricy. It's worth it. Check them out. read more

Had a great experience here! Semi private room for pedicures, I fell asleep during the massage part because it was that relaxing!! Definitely book an appointment, I saw them turn away two walk ins because they were so booked. Gel nail polish came out great, the receptionist picked out the perfect color when I asked for a nude with a hint of pink. My gel nails have lasted me for almost two weeks now and not a single chip in sight! read more

Jason was amazing. Best foot/leg massage and pedicure EVER. Highly recommend! Will definitely go again.

I went in for a gel manicure and came out with a bill of $85!!! I only did my hands, requested to add a tip to just ONE figure. and on top of that they didn't do my cuticles and when I asked they said it was an extra $15. the person who did me was very rough and even made me bleed. I am NEVER coming back here. read more

Nina is the best! I love the place and the staff is really awesome! I highly recommend it!!

I went here to get my acrylic taken off. They put me in and i sat down, the girl said she doesnt know how to take it off. (which was fine) Then the guy who booked me said they dont know how to take it off either, I was super confused and didn't even know that was possible. Why take my appointment then say you can't do it? read more

This was my go to place until yesterday. I always look forward to the got stone massage with pedicure .. today I got I gentle stone across the leg for .. seems I got an inexperienced nail tech who had to call someone over to help with things. The best pedicure I've ever had was at this location of Bliss Nails. This afternoon I was treated to a pedicure of excellent quality in an environment of such calm and relaxation. How did they do it?! Here's how: 1. No tvs blaring gossip or news or other b.s. 2. Low lighting in semi private spaces (partitioned by tasteful beaded curtains). 3. No crappy gossip rags in the waiting area 4. Soothing music playing in the background (recognized popular piano pieces by Chopin and Satie) 5. Professional staff! The young woman who gave me the fantastic pedicure did not try to engage me in conversation. She saw me relaxing, chilling out, and just went to work on my feet. I've never had such a good massage where all my toe joints popped. Awesome! 6. The pedicurists spoke to each other in low tones and only briefly. It was really what kept the place tranquil and so relaxing. 7. Epic spa chairs that massage all the stress away. The sink where your feet rest is bordered by a tree branch design. The jets blast your toes and there are lovely colored lights in the water. Color therapy?! Hell, why not! I will be coming here for all of my foot care needs from now on. Thank you Bliss! read more

I have been going to Bliss Nails in Assemble Row ever since they opened. My regular nail technician, Lanie does a wonderful job each time. However, while she was away for several weeks on vacation I used another nail technician, Avon. One finger nail (gel manicure) and one toe (regular pedi) chipped after one week. This happened the week of Thanksgiving so I did not have time to come back in to get it repaired. When I returned this weekend I mentioned this to the Salon Manager, Avon and even shared a photo. Instead of crediting me for the manicure and pedicure the Manager proceeded to tell me that I probably did something to make my nails chip. To add insult to injury she offered me a $5.00 discount. My nails never chipped when Lanie did them. Not the greatest customer service. Needless to say I will not be returning and will not be sending any referrals as I had done in the past. read more

I love Bliss Nails! This location is less cramped than the Medford spot and has free parking. I've had a gel manicure and an aromatherapy pedicure and both were great. The pedicure was very relaxing and the manicure came out beautifully. I do wish they had a better color selection; many of theirs were old and the selection wall was disorganized. I usually stick with the seasonal Opi selection. Their prices are moderate and everyone that I've encountered there has been very nice. read more

Hands down the best place I've found out here! I've lived in Boston for a little over three years and have been to multiple nail salons. I usually go for convenience, either close to home or work, but I've never been fully satisfied. Bliss Nails at Assembly Row is fantastic. I walked in and requested a mani/pedi and was taken within 10 minutes. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Not like other nail salons where there are TVs, and lots of talking. My pedicure was first. They took me to an almost private room that seats two customers and is closed off by a beaded curtain. Amanda was my pedicurist and she was absolutely A-MAZING. She was aggressive, but in a good way. I'm on my feet more than ten hours a day for work. By the time she was done they were baby soft and beautiful. The massage was the most delightful thing. I love that they turn off the light while massaging your feet. Straight after she finished, I texted my friend to let her know she's coming with me next time. Kyle was my manicurist and he was super friendly. I had requested a full set and he suggested just an overlay since I wanted my nails on the shorter side. I love the way my nails turned out! My whole experience was wonderful from the minute I stepped into Bliss Nails. Though it isn't close to home or work, I will continue to make the trip for what I think is the best pedicure I've ever had! read more

Used to really love this place but my last experience turned me off completely. The prices alone had been killing me when I would go but I love all of the ladies, they do great jobs. My final visit though I had a gel mani, the girl finished and quickly got up to head out back with the tools and I got to the desk. As I was paying I realized my thumb nail was really ragged and catching on my sweater. I asked for her or someone to file it, she told me they had nobody available but if I came back in 3 hours when they had an appointment I could get it fixed. I wasnt even done paying!! I was dumbfounded and couldn't even argue back I just left so angry and wont be returning. read more

I have been coming to Bliss nails for over 4 years now. I used to go to the station landing location, and I moved to this location because my nail technician, Lanie, was relocated here. She's the best! I have been getting shellac gel nails for over 6 years now. After moving to Boston from LA, I took finding my nail place very seriously. I tried a couple places with good reviews in Boston, but finally got settle with Bliss nails. They are very professional in the business. Very clean and nice experiences. Always updating the gel colors, definitely one of the places with most colors. The new assembly location is smaller, and I found parking could be tough if you want to park at the garage right next to it. So plan on getting there a little bit earlier, and you can always park in the shopping area and walk over. read more

I went in for a gel pedicure and dip manicure. The pedicure was ok but the dip manicure was not. I got a simple design on the edges of each nail and after 3 days the design was coming off. I was really excited to give this place a try, but was disappointed. A few cleanliness issues stood out to me. After having my gel removed, I was moved over to another station. The gel residue was left on the hand towel where I had been sitting. As a new client came in, they picked up my old towel, shook the gel residue on the floor, placed the towel back down at the station, and sat the new client there at my already used towel. I began to wonder if the hand towel my hands were resting on had been previously used and not laundered. To make matters worse, I got my gel manicure yesterday (Sept 8th) and today (Sept 9th) it already has a chip in it! I have gotten gels st many salons and they always last 10+ days. I have reached out to Bliss on their website about my nails being chipped 1 day after the gel manicure and hope we can come up with a solution. read more

Got a regular mani pedi and it came out terrible, there was a hair in the nails she never fixed, the top coat is peeling back, and it's been 2 hours since the manicure, polish still left on skin, didn't do a great job with cuticles. Terrible, I wouldn't go back, so disappointed! read more

Finding a good nail salon can be tough, and after 1.5 years of searching I've finally found one! I came here with a friend and we both got dip manicures.
