Bliss is most definitely a hidden gem in Calgary and I refuse to go anywhere else. I started coming here on a recommendation from a co-worker who absolutely raved about them and I can see why!! The salon is always clean, bright, inviting and the girls are always so friendly! I guarantee they will greet you by name after your second appointment and engage you in friendly and hilarious conversation throughout your visit. They really make you feel welcome. I've brought along multiple friends since I started going here earlier this year and they have all been returning regulars. Tammy and Sandy do absolute magic - any design you want, any picture you pull from Pintrest - they'll do it perfectly each and every time. I'm very picky with my nails, have super long stilettos and love to play around with colors and designs. I struggled to find a salon who could do work that I loved and provide quality nails that wouldn't break off after a few days. Until I found Tammy at Bliss. I literally haven't had a nail break in between fills since I started going here. The work is quality and the price is affordable. They don't charge for each individual rhinestone or detail like most places so your free to do the designs you wont without the massive price tag. They are always fairly busy so I wouldn't expect to get in on a walk in but they are very accommodating with appointments and are ready to go when you get there - no unnecessary waiting. I definitely recommend Bliss to anyone and everyone! I absolutely love them and I don't trust anyone else with my hands :) read more

I went in today and after repeatedly telling the staff that they were applying the wrong product on her nails ( acrylic over liquid gel ) causing a allergic reaction and burning of nails she stopped them partially through and placed 50 on the table and walked out. We tried to call back to talk to then owner but were not able to as the owner is on vacation and no one else there could understand English well enough to take the complaint. also witnessed very unsanitary conditions after a pedicure was done the tolls were placed in the dirty water then some sort of solution was put in with them the lady swished it around pulling the tools out then placing them on a tray. a few mins later the same tools were being used again on a new client after being with this shop for 7 years I am never going back read more

I am incredibly picky when it comes to getting my nails done, so finding that perfect nail technician was a process, but I found her: Tammy! She is absolutely amazing. I've been going to her for over a year now, and I won't go to anyone else. She is so genuine and kind hearted. For instance, today she noticed that my hands were cold, so she brought over a little heater just for me to keep my hands warm while she continued to work on my nails. She always smiling and never complains when I get the same boring nail colours haha (ombré- which she happens to specialize in) Thank you Tammy! You're the best. read more

Absolutely terrible. Save your money and visit Exquisite Nails on 17th. Got a manicure here - they were incredibly rough, rushed, and did a terrible job with polish. The kicker is the lady helping me was so rushed she kept hitting my wet nails with her own hand and ruining them. On top of it all, it took extra long since the person helping me kept having to get up to do other things. Was so annoyed I got the polish removed and redone elsewhere. Hard pass. read more

This place does not even deserve 1 star... I had my eyelash done and there eyelash tech was not gentle and my left eye got inflamed. I went back the next day and told them my eye is hurting so bad that I need the extension removed and they did remove it but when I ask for a refund they refused. I even said partial refund but no. The eyelash tech told me she hates me and told me to get out! I said to her how can you hate me you don't even know me. Plus I said you are lucky I came back the next day to fix the problem and if I left it a few more days it could have been infected and that would be even a bigger problem?? Nope she said I was lying and still she said she hates me and told me to get out! I am in business and that's not how you treat your customers. That was the worst ever experience I have ever experienced in a salon! PLEASE PEOPLE BEWARE! THEY ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE!! DON'T GET YOUR EYELASH DONE OVER THERE. THERE ARE BETTER PLACES BUT SAD MY EYELASH GIRL IS ON HOLIDAYS SO I FIGURED I TRIED ANOTHER PLACE.. BUT VERY DISAPPOINTING:( On Oct 8 I got my refund back as there manager contacted me. I am soooooo happy I have finally found a place that I can trust. I have had 2 other long term nail salons where I had to stop going because 1) I'd make appointments and I'd would consistently be waiting at least half hour after appointment time and 2) I would make appointments with a particular person and he would literally sit with me for 5 minutes then would move me to someone else ( I gave each of these places over 5 yrs of going once a month) These ladies are soooo sweet and lovely. I have seen Jenny and Nicki and both are fantastic. I can not say enough about this salon. :) read more

I absolutely love this place! Nikki is my absolute favourite never hurt me when I get my nails done always so sweet and kind. I've had so many horrible experiences when getting my nails done at other places but this one I've never had any problems or complaints. Frustrated with this nail salon. I have given it multiple tries and they are usually late starting my appointment, they have been very rough causing me to bleed several times and shellac has bubbled an hour after an appointment causing me to go back and get fixed after taking to multiple people on the telephone who cannot understand what I am saying. Would not recommend them. read more

Let's just say a nail fill in 20 minutes, not kidding. Does that tell you the quality - NOT. The nail tech., was obviously in a hurry and had an attitude because I did not want a pedicure so basically gave me a crap job on my nails.
