Was really disappointed in this place. It was my first appointment today.The main door was locked and a woman told me to go around the side, which I did, in the lobby there was the paperwork ready for me, I waited about 10 mins and no one came, even though they knew I was there, so I went back to the front and let them Know I was there for infrared and they said ok that's in back. So I went back and waited for another 10-15 mins. No one came, so I left. Then I got a text maybe an hour later asking if I had left .. I said yes that I waited in the lobby for 20 mins and no one came and all that was said was "so sorry, she was doing a facial". I'm not sure why that was never communicated to me, very unprofessional. I don't mind waiting for services but to never even be greeted and let know what's going on is no way to run a business especially no way to get new clients. read more

I was very happy with my visit here earlier today. My sister got me a hydrating facial per groupon for my birthday. I loved Seda. She was personable, has nice hands, and kept just the right amount of conversation, wasn't overly bearing or annoying with the chit chat. Only complaint: I had a cooling mask on for what seemed like 15 minutes while I could hear her on the side cleaning her tools. Maybe it was the mixture of my hair tie digging in to my scalp, my patience wearing thin or maybe it was just the pregnancy hormones driving me nuts, but I was getting really restless and didn't like it. Other than that this was an amazing facial, and I got a kick out of if when I was asked if I minded having a few extractions. Come on ladies, you can admit that you all have a black head or two....or if you're me three or four. Seda made the process painless and I look so much better just looking in the mirror. My face is so soft and I can't wait to be back! Parking is in the back. It's a small lot and fills up fast. You may have someone double park so you might have to ask someone to move, but you don't wait more than a minute for them to move their car. There are many benefits to the thermal body wrap; I mainly come here to detox my body for a restart. I come out feeling energized and good. For me tbh is not that relaxing in a way because it's so hot for me I start sweating profusely after 15 minutes and it's 50 minutes long! Lol it really depends on the person though. My sister barley sweats till maybe the last 10 minutes and she's there taking a nap as well. Wonderful and relaxing formostar infrared wrap experience! I used a coupon offer that I purchased from Living Social. :-) As with anything spa-ish -- a facial, a massage and yes, a wrap -- the room has to have decent light (preferably natural light), the ambiance should be quiet and some nice New Agey music is a perfect touch. That's what you find at Bliss, Mind & Body. I definitely got some much needed "Me Time" (50 minutes, to be precise), with just the right amount of supervision to ensure I was comfortable. The wrap in itself can get very hot, yet I never felt uncomfortable, and I must also say it helped a lot with the spasm on my lower back. So whether you're considering doing a wrap for losing a few inches and fitting better into your fabulous Christmas red dress or just for relaxing and actual physical relief, this is a great thing to try. And the fact that you burn around 1,200 calories in just one session couldn't hurt! Some here have complained about the availability of appointments. All I can say is book with enough time in advance, because it's an up and coming business, owned and ran by one person, and a lot of people book in advance because it's great! You will need thermal pajamas that you can either buy from Tina, the owner, for $20 (I looked online on K-Mart's and Walmart's and other websites and hers is actually cheaper); however you can bring your own as well. I brought my MP3 player with headphones, but the soft music playing on the sound system and calm and quiet ambiance were actually better. I got to meditate a little throughout the session and even almost fell asleep. You should take a large bottle of water with you, to ensure you're properly hydrated. You will be drenched in your own sweat at the end of the session, so make sure you bring extra clothes and maybe even a hat for when you leave, considering the presently chillier weather. For the most part because, as I mentioned, this is a one person business, it may take a while to get a hold of her on the phone, but if you e-mail instead, you DO get a response very quickly. You can make appointments and ask questions via email, and get appointment confirmations with all the info you need. Tina is VERY kind and accommodating and an overall warm person. She will come in the room to check up on you about 2 or 3 times during your infrared wrap session. Getting there: Bliss, Mind & Body is located inside the Palazzo Hair Salon. This was my mistake, but I made an appointment through Lifebrooker and had to end up paying the full price because Lifebrooker marks full credit for the appointment (so this is Lifebrooker's fault not Tina's). I guess I get to go two more times now though! In consideration, Bliss Mind & Body is quite cheap for the treatments you get. I got an infrared wrap treatment. Afterwards I felt great, as if I had gone on a massive run, and I loved how I sweated tons afterwards. Parking is a bit of a pain - there's a small side parking lot that I got lucky with. Have you ever fallen asleep during a facial? Well, let me tell you something, I've been looking for a good facialist in Glendale and this is hands-down the best I have found! It all starts with the amazing Epicuren products: cleansing, polishing, and moisturizing. But what sets this place apart is the esthetician. She seriously has "magic" fingers. My face was completely invigorated by the therapeutic massaging of her hands. They move with such grace and rhythm that I actually doze-off snoring for a minute (so embarrassing)! I phoned about two weeks before the voucher expired to make appointments but wasn't able to get through. Tina was great! When I finally got a hold of her via email (I should have tried this first), she honored the voucher even though it had expired. This is a busy, one-woman shop, so please email her in advance for an appointment to avoid disappointment. The wrap itself was wonderful and relaxing. Yes, it gets a little hot, but in a relaxing way. My back problems were also temporarily relieved, which was an unexpected bonus! I brought my own music as the soft sounds that were supplied weren't to my taste. And you'll need to wear light, long sleeve, long pant pjs that you may buy at the shop or bring your own. A) I don't accept bribes and B) I cannot, in good conscience, send my fellow Yelpers to this awful place. "Bliss Mind and Body" rents a room from this salon and there's nothing pretty about their set-up. I bought a package through Living social for 3 body wraps and a facial. It was a little difficult to make an appointment within a reasonable amount of time because they seemed overwhelmed with the influx of new clients. However, when I finally came in for my appointment, Tina, the owner, was very unfriendly, condescending, and confrontational. There seemed to be some miscommunication when I made the appointment---I scheduled a facial, but when I got there, she said that I would be getting a body wrap. I told her that there was some kind of mistake, and instead of apologizing, she kept telling me in a very condescending tone that, "You have to understand that it doesn't matter what you get, you have to get the body wrap anyways!" and "What part of this don't you understand?" I told her that I didn't appreciate the way she talked to me, and then her mother came to the room and proceeded to tell me that "Tina is the boss. She's a very nice person." ---which is a very strange statement since Tina was obviously not being very nice to me at the time. There was more to this story, but I wanted to give a little context. I went there for a relaxing afternoon, but came out very stressed out. I've been wanting to experience Bliss Mind Body for some months now and I had a great first experience. I went about two months ago because I wanted to wait to see how my face would heal. My face overall healed very nicely in about ten days. I went for an Acne facial done by Seda. Seda made me feel comfortable with her techniques and products she was using on my face. She explained step by step which I loved ! She also used a red light to help calm the irritation on my face. I am giving Blissmindand body five stars because I made an appointment through text, Tina and Seda were able to accommodate the very next day. Seda was right on time for my facial, huge plus for me. It's been several weeks since I last frequented Bliss Mind and Body. First thing first -- Tina contacted me when I posted the last time. She apologized and recognized the problem about the noise and suggested that I come in earlier in the day to avoid the noise issues. I didn't respond, but there was a part of me that was like, WTF? I have to move my schedule around to get better service from your establishment within an establishment. But, I said, hey, for the sake of comparison, let's try that. I didn't let Tina know that I had moved around things to make sure I could do it earlier to test her theory out. First, I did the facial. The facial was OK. To those of you who think the facial was phenomenal, I cry for you because you clearly have been ripped off. It's not that they Seda didn't give a nice facial, but it wasn't anything to rave about. I was first in line (like Tina had asked me to be) and they weren't quite ready. I got five minutes shaved off, but whatever. It was hella quieter and more blissful but that could also be I was in the second room of Bliss further away from all the chatterboxes. A week later I did the body wrap first thing in the morning. First off, it was really quite lovely. I got the heat I had wanted from the other two and it felt heavenly. All my pains were melting away and it would have been a near perfect experience if it weren't for that one woman who interrupted my state halfway through. AND, I know Tina's voice, she was talking to the lady. It didn't last very long, but when you're getting to that sleepy state and those voices just cut through anything it can ruin it. Luckily, I got close to state near the end but then again, it was near the end. Seriously, if it weren't for that outburst, I would have called it perfect. Both times, Tina greeted me with a lot more energy and attention than she did the previous two times. So, its very possible if you go earlier in the morning before Palazzo gets filled up that you can have a more "blissful" experience. I feel like Tina has the capability of putting together a nice experience for you, but while she's stuck in Palazzo she can't give it her all. read more

I purchased 3 infrared body wraps from Lifebooker. I just went in for my first wrap. Here is the breakdown: You need to wear long pants and a long sleeve. I wore yoga pants and a tank, not knowing I needed a long sleeve. You get soaking wet with sweat, so I recommend bringing the clothes to change in and out of. Also, bring headphones and your ipod, because laying there for at least 45 min got boring for me and I can hear the outside noise, etc. I didn't like the parking lot, only has like 6 stalls. I had to wait for someone to leave so I could park, so arrive early. I loved the way I felt after the wrap and Tina is very nice. I pre booked my next appt, so now I am looking forward to going back and now I can be prepared too. The only thing that is a turn off is the facial room is connected to the body wrap room, so the aestitician who had 2 appts while I was there, had to walk in and out of my room with her 2 clients, so that was a little wierd, lol! I have had SEVERAL facials from different facialists, and there was only one person that I praised as the best facialist, up until yesterday, thanks to my sister's referral. SEDA IS AMAZING!!!! She not only explains everything and is detailed in what she does, but she actually takes pride and cares for her client and the work she does with them. She was so gentle and caring with my face, I actually was able to sleep through the treatment vs squinting and anticipating pain from the extractions. The price was AMAZING for the work being done. It's not a typical 50 min facial.. It actually lasted a little over an hour. I loved it so much that I made my appointment for next month. I found a good deal on Living Social for this place and thought I'd try something new. Thus far, I've only redeemed the thermal body wraps, so I can't confirm or deny the claims about the facials. But thus far I've found the place very clean, and Tiny was very attentive to me while I was getting the wrap done. We communicated mainly by email, and I had no problems with that.
