I am new to the area and work Mon-Thurs near Rosamond. I decided to look for a barber for a cut while in this area during the week. I contacted Bliss, gave them my info and was contacted the next day by I'm guessing the owner? I asked what the cost would be for a man's haircut. A fade specifically. The web site stated $15. The person who text me back, quoted $25 for a man's fade. Ok, more that what the site advertised, but ok. I was told I would be contacted by a person who can do fades. I was contacted by a gal, set up an Appt and stated the site said $15 for a man's cut. She replied "Oh no, I charge $35 for a man's fade." $15 to $35...? I sent her screen shots of the site advertising $15 and also the link. "Oh, sorry but I charge $35." No thank you. $35 for a 15-20 minute clipper cut? I'll shave my head bald for that price. Some doctors don't make $140 an hour. Buyer beware. read more

This is solely on a waxing service. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and it was the worst. Wax wasn't hot enough and I still had leftover hair that was not pulled out. My brows weren't even trimmed And on top of that the person who did it reeked of cigarettes. I caught her smoking right before I had my service done. This Salon really should receive a 0 star. The atmosphere in the room feels very un welcoming. The salon is not organized. Each time I met with my stylist she was always apologizing for the spacing and the tempature of the water when getting my hair rinsed, The water was always very cold. The nails services suck. There seems to be tension between staff and the energy lingers into the salon. If your a client who wants to have some self care time or tlc this is not the place. Rude and very unprofessional "stylist". I made my appointment a week in advance, when I called there was no intro to the salon, so I didn't even know if I was calling the right place. 30 minutes before my appointment I am called saying that there was only 1 person doing pedicures so my mom and I (our mother daughter day)were going to take turns... and then was told she does not offer what I wanted. 30 minutes before an appointment? It was in the late morning so they had plenty of time to call me. When I did call the first time and when they called me they didn't even give me their names. There's no receptionist but plenty of work stations for hair, nails and etc. Alyssa was my nail technician and she did an amazing job. She also does an amazing job on my cut and loves experimenting with colors. I just have to give her a general description, and she does the rest. Danielle has been doing my nails for over 2 years now, and I can't tell you how many times I've received compliments on them. She's truly an artist! In addition, I've done a few sessions of Collagen Induction Therapy with Brooke, and I swear she took off 10 years! It's already been a year, and my skin still looks great!! (I'd been having my hair done in the Valley when I was working down there but that's simply too far to drive for a haircut, no matter how good my previous stylist was.) Liz is fast, her prices are REASONABLE beyond belief, and I know that she does a great job because I always get compliments on my haircut. I don't color my hair but the people who do swear by Liz for quality and price. All that I can say about the poor service that other Yelpers have received is that I'm pretty certain that they did not have their services performed by Liz (who is the owner). When I walked in there was no reception/waiting area. It's a house used as a salon, strange. Stylist cut boys hair while I stood because no seating. It was fine one son liked his hair other didn't. So when I tried to make an appointment for me I text the stylist because that's how I contacted her the first time. She didn't return the text for two weeks. Very poor customer service! By the time she got back to me I had called the salon for an appointment. The lady who answered was sweet and accommodating. She did an amazing job on my hair. Then I find out the business owner was not renewing her lease because the unprofessional stylist who cut boys hair said she stole me as a client! NO your unprofessional customer service sent me elsewhere. The owner never talked to me and is rude when I would visit my stylist. Glad I don't have to go there anymore! Absolutely horrible! Worst haircut and style I have ever had! Nicole was my stylist. When my cut was finished, I asked her to blowdry and curl my hair because I had a nail appointment at another shop afterwards. She acted like she had never blow dried someones hair before. It came out hideously flat. Then she put so much product in my hair I looked soaking wet from all the grease. I couldn't even go to my next appointment because I was too embarrassed. I looked so ridiculous that I had to go to another salon and have my hair fixed 2 days later. The stylist who fixed my hair said she could not believe the poor quality of the cut I had recieved. She thought I must have gone to the beauty school! And to make matters worse, I had to loose several inches of length just to correct the train wreck I recieved at Guys and Gals. Needless to say I will NEVER go here again, and I recommend that you dont either!!!!! read more
