I've been in here a few times as I'm redoing the inside of my domicile. I needed a shade/blind, whatever you want to call it for the window in the dining room. I wasn't sure what I was looking for but I didn't want plastic cruddy ones or aluminum ones. The salesperson pointed me in the right direction and in about 20 minutes I had figured out what I wanted. Put a deposit down on the product, got it home and installed it a few days later. I had forgotten I needed some additional hardware because of the weight of the product so I headed back to the store. Showed up, explained my problem, was given the pieces for free. I as ready to spend a few bucks because it was my error, but they were really nice and just let me have them. Save your money and take your business somewhere else. I placed an order in early September; the design consultant (Desiree) was very helpful and responsive when collecting the payment. After that she never answered her phone and did not provide updates as to when the order was ready. I had to constantly check online to schedule the installation. Today when the installer came, I found out that they placed the wrong track for the vertical blind, when the order clearly stated "central opening". Also, one of the horizontal blinds in my order is missing the ladder clips so the first slat does not move properly. It is clear that the QA/QC department is very incompetent or nonexistent . I already waited 4 weeks and who knows when they'll fix the track and schedule installation again. When I called the showroom they told me that a manager would follow up with me in 24 to 48 hours; however, this time period has passed and still no answers. Save yourself these hassles and believe the bad reviews they have on Google, Facebook and Yelp. read more

Ordered over $5k worth of blinds from Blinds to Go and was lucky to find the help of Margarita at the Rt 17 store. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products and was helpful from a design-perspective. I trusted her advice and she helped ordering very easy. So far I am very happy with my blinds as well. If you value customer service stay away from this store. They are quick to take your money but good luck getting them to come out to measure after you pay for the service and even better luck getting them to answer the phone at the store. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

We had a great experience working with Katleen who was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She was genuinely trying to help us with the selection while providing details about the products, and potential solutions to some of our issues. The store has a pretty big selection and they custom manufacture at very reasonable prices. The blinds were completed at 11:30 am on Monday, we placed the order Friday night. They were a piece of cake to install and look great. Overall, great experience from our side. read more

I joined Yelp with the sole purpose of writing this review. Had an awful experience with both product performance and customer service. We purchased several sets of blinds for our previous apartment, and were willing to pay top dollar for custom blinds from the experts. What a mistake. We almost immediately had one of the blinds malfunction and when I returned to the store to inquire, they told me that I had purchased the cheapest blind option, basically calling me cheap and asking me what do I expect when I go for the cheapest option. (By the way, nothing is cheap here, even the bottom of the line option is very expensive.) Instead of allowing me to exchange the broken blind for a more sturdy model (of course I would pay the difference) they said the only thing they could do is try and fix it but I would likely have the same issue. Instead of removing the huge blind and lugging it from Manhattan to Jersey (and getting a babysitter, taking out my child's car seat, putting the seat down to accommodate the blind...) I ended up living with it broken for a couple years. I tried to find a customer service phone number but was never successful in reaching a customer service department. I should have learned my lesson. We recently moved into a new apartment and I went back in to comparison shop. The salesperson was incredibly rude (forget service with a smile, more like service with a scowl!) and instead of educating me on my options and trying to sell me something (imagine that!) she printed out a price sheet and acted like she was doing me a favor. The quotes were very expensive, $800 not including tax for 4 blackout shades. Save your money and go to Home Depot. Their blinds are cordless, custom and inexpensive--I ended up paying $300 for a better product and they cut them right there. Oh yeah, and the people are nice. read more

Terrible service! We ordered vertical blinds on December 6 and were told they may be ready for Christmas. The installer came to measure on December 13 and said he would place order the next day. I called on December 20 to check, and was told the order was never placed! No explanation, just an apology. We were charged $44 for the installers work taken from our deposit. We're right back where we were in early December, but short $44 for nothing done. Stay clear of this place. read more

Worst experience ever! Dont trust the information they guve you when you're about to buy. Once you pay you are trapped and they will not meet their commitments in terms of times, delivery and installation. They will not give you a refund, but not deliver the product, which basically means they are robbing you. read more

Sales person Jasmelena in the store was very helpful. Computer system was terrible. Picked a color and was told several times that the color was not available for the shades selected. The system does not have a listing that XX style is only available in ABCD colors. Bought shades and was told delivery would be 70 days, which in itself is very long. Shades did not arrive until 84 days, 2 weeks later. Installation appointment confirmed between 12 and 4pm, installer arrived at 4:20pm. Was told when I scheduled appointment that the installer would call me when he was on his way and if there was any delays, didn't happen. Was later told that the person who told me this should never have said this because "they never tell a customer this because they have no control over the installer's schedule". Installer was very good but only after being nasty because I questioned why he was late. If you're going to order from this company, just make sure you're on top of everything they say or do. Be your own advocate and don't let them talk a lot of BS. read more

Great staff at Paramus store although sometimes difficult to get through by phone. Installation was amazingly easy using one of their installers. I love the fabric shade just a bit disappointed by the gap on either side between the shade and the window frame. Would definitely order from them again but would make sure to discuss the gap issue. read more

This place is the worst. Products are overpriced and service is horrendus. All our shades purchased here were defective and had to be remodified. Still don t work properly but too tired of going back to fix. I went last week to fix a recent purchase where locking mechanism was put on wrong side. The feamale manager tried to blame me for giving incorrect instructions which was not the case. Finally I threatened to dispute charge and they reluctantly agreed to fix. Go somewhere else and save yourself grief. read more

I am so glad I am not the only one having trouble with this company's location! They are absolutely HORRIBLE! We had our blinds installed in February of 2018. Here we are in November and we are still having issues. They installed the wrong kind of blinds and ones that were crooked. I called the store repeatedly asking for assistance. They said if there is a problem I would have to have the installer back to my house. They gave me the phone number of the installer John who I called and left messages for four months. He never called me back. Finally I physically walked into the store and they ordered me new blinds. They asked me to bring the old ones into the store, which I did. I received a phone call that the blinds were ready two weeks later. I was promised an installer to come and install them but no one would follow up over the phone. Again, I had to drive down there and physically walk into the store to get someone to talk to me. I told them I didn't want John since he didn't bother to call me back. They contacted Ron who came to my house the following week. He was absolutely wonderful and tried his best to install my blinds. However, we soon realized the blinds had the exact same problem as when I first returned them! It was clear the factory did nothing to fix them. Ron took them back and said someone from the store would call us. We never heard from anyone and we had to call them. They said someone would call us back. Here we are 2 weeks later and no phone call, no blinds. I am absolutely disgusted with this store. The only people who are worth speaking to is Shanika in the store and Ron the installer. Everyone else is completely worthless. We renovated our house from the studs and our blinds are the biggest problem we had. I wish I could do it all over again. I would never recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation and go somewhere else. read more

The store experience was very pleasant and promising, but they failed in the ordering and execution. My husband and I went to get blinds for our new home 10 days before Thanksgiving. We spent a fair amount of money on just 3 blinds in preparation of guests coming over on Thanksgiving. We also liked that the blinds were manufactured locally in NJ. At the store we ordered some wooden blinds with the decorative tape. I had placed a deposit and had to confirm measurements with them the next day using their useful measuring guide. After we discussed and confirmed the order, it turns out that the new lengths (.5 inches longer than I had told them the night before) pushed 2 blinds into the next price bracket. This put the order on hold. When I called to confirm my order I had given them my work number, but they only had my cell on file. When I called 48 hours thinking I was going to pick up the blinds I was told that it was never released. I would have appreciated another follow up call if I had been remiss in calling back. I had placed a 50% deposit so I was serious about making a purchase. When I confirmed the order again it turns out that the decorative tape we selected was in backorder and we waited almost 3 days to learn that the tape was no longer in production. It now had a new color scheme which didn't fit our design. In the meantime, we had to keep calling for updates as the Thanksgiving deadline loomed. When we finally placed the order with another decorative tape we liked, it turned out that the original order was wrong and thankfully we were able to correct it this final time. We picked up our blinds on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. My husband was able to easily hang them, but the wooden balance doesn't fit properly, which is a selling point of their blinds because it gives it a finished, custom look. I am going to see if they can fix it. The sales person had calculated the return on the valance, which might be standard on new homes, but my house is very old. I have the rest of the house that needs blinds and I am seriously considering checking out another retailer. Hopefully they can redeem themselves! read more

The people were friendly and helpful. They gave us all our options at different price points and we did not full pushed or rushed for time. I had priced the blinds through Hunter Douglas and save 75% by purchasing through blinds to go! It was ready for pick up in 48 hours. We are choosing to hang the blinds ourselves but they do have an option for that service as well. read more

Poor customer service upon pick up of merchandise. I walked in and the young girl was on the phone. As I stood there it was clear that she was on a personal call and had me wait and wait until she was through with her call. She took care of me, but on her time. I was there on January 30 around 12:15. I was going to tell her "Good luck on your first date!" But I decided not to get into it. I purchased blinds from Blinds To Go in 2014. Overall, the experience was a good one and the people were pleasant. I encountered an issue with the blinds on two separate occasions which needed rectifying but, this review is more about customer service and, about ONE particular person, than the quality of the product. Everyone I dealt with at the store was helpful and pleasant each time I came to the store. Yesterday and the day before however, was a total different story. A woman, who said that she was the manager, was a customer's worst nightmare. She was arrogant and condescending with a passive aggressiveness that was absolutely palpable. For her alone, I would NEVER shop in this store or, for that matter, any Blinds to Go store again. Happily, there was another person who worked there that turned the entire situation around. His name is "Besik Palushi." He was and is the person you want to deal with at this location. Friendly and knowledgeable, he resolved my issue quickly and easily; something this other incredibly arrogant female refused to do. My blinds work well now, issue resolved. Because of the absolutely unacceptable and haughty attitude of this woman, Blinds to Go reputation has suffered. read more

If you are looking for the DMV experience this is the place to be. They are understaffed and this causes customers to wait 30-60 minutes. They have also introduced this electronic check-in. If you do not check-in at their kiosk when you get in, then you are not in the queue and will not get service until you check-in and have waited the necessary time. If you have the time to waste, go for it. Their products are good quality, but the service is pathetic. I am not going back. read more
