The store is family owned, clean, and well stocked. And now they also have a great deli at the back of the store. They obviously did their homework and invested in the best equipment and products to make delicious sandwiches, wraps, and salads. They're using very fresh produce, Napoli Import deli meats and cheeses, and fresh grinder rolls from Neri's Bakery in Port Chester, NY. I've been going in Grand News for a few years and the family that owns it are friendly honest people. They're putting a lot of care into every sandwich and salad that they make for each customer. Jay made an awesome Italian Combo grinder for me. It was one of the best I've ever had. And Diana made a crisp beautiful salad for me to take home to my wife. There is one other Jersey Mike's I have visited in Stamford that's like right next to the Merritt, but I didn't really think about going to review that location when I went there. Normally, my Jersey Mike's orders are from the Wilton location, but what I have noticed about their food in all 3 locations (and yes, that does also mean this location) is that you can't really go wrong if you know what you're ordering. Like the other 2 spots, I got a good sandwich from this location. If you don't order online and still want a life hack, order the giant sub when you go. You might be paying more in the short term, but it's actually more cost-efficient if you're like me and need something for later. In other words, ordering one giant sub will save you more money than just ordering 2 6"-subs if you're getting the same sandwich. As for the inside of this location itself, there isn't really much to it. The drinks are off to the side if you are getting a drink with your order, and I was good to order right away. It did take a short while to get my order, but that's not too bad because I wasn't really in a rush today. It was too hot outside to do that anyhow. Other than the wait, I will say I did get decent service here. Not a bad Jersey Mike's location at all. I just don't get more chances to come to this location because the WalMart I have to go to when I need items is on the other side of an extremely busy street for a road that's on the city outskirts.
