I needed a quick dinner as I cruising through Okeechobee. Dining options are limited here so a casual chain seemed like the best bet. It was completely empty when I entered and everything seemed clean. One worker had a mask on and one did not. I assumed the one with a mask would be making my sandwich but when I finally focused in on what was going on, it was the girl without a mask cutting my meat although she did have gloves on. I was too tired and hungry to call her out but I should have. I am sure she was supposed to be wearing a mask. Out of curiosity I checked out the Covid rates in Okeechobee. Ten days ago Okeechobee had a positive rate of 15.9 percent out of 6,627 compared to Palm Beach who has a positive rate of 13.2 out of 282,129. I found a news article that said that people in Okeechobee County were not getting tested frequently. Another site listed them as as having 1.202 cases compared to where I live in Broward that has over 69,000 cases. However if they are not getting tested in Okeechobee who knows? I wish I had thought of all of this before I allowed someone without a mask to make my sandwich. This will be the last time. Based on other reviews here this is not an isolated case. I will be better off packing my food next time. To try and end on a positive note, Jersey Mile's is located across from the brand new Hamrick Butterfly Garden which is a lovely place to eat.

We were quickly seated and a friendly server came and took our drink order. The menu is extensive and everything looked great. I settled on chocolate chip Belgium waffles and a side of bacon. Within 5 minutes our food arrived and it was hot. My chocolate chips were melting perfectly and my bacon was thin and crispy. I'm not really a breakfast person, but this was excellent. I loved the coffee too. Will definitely return when in the area.

I have had the ribs from here, and while they are good, the stand out for me at Blitzkrieg was definitely the pulled pork. This place is worth your stop whenever you see it open.
