It was completely empty when I entered and everything seemed clean. One worker had a mask on and one did not. I assumed the one with a mask would be making my sandwich but when I finally focused in on what was going on, it was the girl without a mask cutting my meat although she did have gloves on. I was too tired and hungry to call her out but I should have. I am sure she was supposed to be wearing a mask. Out of curiosity I checked out the Covid rates in Okeechobee. Ten days ago Okeechobee had a positive rate of 15.9 percent out of 6,627 compared to Palm Beach who has a positive rate of 13.2 out of 282,129. I found a news article that said that people in Okeechobee County were not getting tested frequently. Another site listed them as as having 1.202 cases compared to where I live in Broward that has over 69,000 cases. However if they are not getting tested in Okeechobee who knows? I wish I had thought of all of this before I allowed someone without a mask to make my sandwich. This will be the last time. Based on other reviews here this is not an isolated case. I will be better off packing my food next time. To try and end on a positive note, Jersey Mile's is located across from the brand new Hamrick Butterfly Garden which is a lovely place to eat.

I was pulling into the Okeechobee livestock market restaurant. My head started spinning because I was the only car in the parking lot! They were just trucks and trailers and cattlemen. After reading Dave O's review, I dared myself to go in and had a blast watching the auction while my burger was being cooked. It was hard to eat the burger while hearing the hoofs of cows underneath and remembering the mooing when I pulled up. The burger was good and the service was great. The experience was off the charts.
