The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

I go there at 5:30 and the front desk tells me that my nail tech will be done in 10 min. I was already a little annoyed. I didn't get seated till 6:30!!!!!! I work from 6am-4pm, I am exhausted by the end of the day. For them to have someone waiting an hour and 15 min after their scheduled appointment is very disrespectful. There policy states that after 10-15 min your services might not be guaranteed......well how about how long my nail tech takes. If they're only taking appointments and no walk-ins then I expect to be attended at the time I reserved. I remember that around a year ago this nail salon used to be top-notch! Now it's a disaster. It looks like the owner, Olguita, is no longer in charge because this salon is going downhill! I'm extremely upset at how badly I've been treated for the past 6 months. Due to my own privacy, I will not be saying who does my nails at TNG, but let me tell you that they're all the same. If you don't care about how your nails look or you're treated, then go ahead and book your appointment. They only talk about their infidelities, plastic surgeries, and drinking at bars. They give explicit details of their plastic surgeries, which I find extremely disturbing, and they even advise you to get your body done. Is this a nail salon or a plastic surgery clinic??? It's unacceptable and rude. Now let's get into the important details, The pedi is horrendous. The towels they have aren't warm; they're wet. It could have mold. The coffee mugs are being used by literally everyone; for hygiene, they should be disposable. By the way, it doesn't matter if you made your appointment for a certain time; the nail ladies are always late. This looks like a Chinese nail salon except it's boujee. The nail ladies don't even care about learning more about the structure of the nail or how to give a better service. They just know how to cut your cuticle, leave it bleeding, paint your nails and off you go! And the prices aren't cheap either so I would expect a good service, which isn't what I and others are receiving anymore. Lately, the nail polishes aren't being checked to see if they're expired, sticky, or wasted. Finally, I hope whoever reads this is able to reconsider making an appointment at this salon and chooses one who values your time, energy, and cares about how you feel in the environment. A salon is a place of comfort and calm, not a place to feel uncomfortable with conversations among nail ladies. I went into VIP Nail not even 24 hours ago with an inspo and chrome finish. My first red flag should have been when the receptionist who actually was very friendly and inviting said" oh i have that color" when she saw my inspo. What do you mean color? its a pink fading to white ombre with a pearl chrome finish. 2nd red flag was the prep of my nails before applying the acrylic. Now i have been to several and I mean several nail salons and dont always have the best prep but this was so bad my cuticles are now in pain and bleeding because she drilled so close to my cuticle. All she did was file and the surface of my nail and apply glue immediately. I honestly thought she was rushing mind you there was only 2 people in there. Now I know the prep work of your nautral nail before applying acrylic and that prep wasnt it. She then applied the pink color but there was no ombre nothing and applied a light coat of chrome onto my nail. It looked like one opaque nude color with a hint of pink tint that i could do nothing but question both me and my husand on there was no chrome finish barely at all and they felt so heavy. Come to find out my downstairs neighbor who does nails had to fixed this mess of a set and even stated upon drilling that there was alot of product on my nail, I'm guessing from the powder mixture thing they use to blend the acrylic with your natural nail.
