I don't know how I haven't left a review yet…read more I first came here in February of last year and have gone back countless times since! Mind you it's an hour drive from my house and it is WORTH IT!! I get a craving for these wings and have to go back. Btw I usually don't like wings. These just hit different!!! Even though I always order the 6 piece I get 7 wings. It's an added lil bonus The restaurant itself is very small inside so I recommend ordering online and picking up or eating outside at one of the many tables. The workers have always been patient while I look at the menu and pleasant to speak with. Side note: My husband has gotten the cucumber salad before (not pictured) and he throughly enjoyed it as well! Anytime you are in Huntsville swing by you won't be disappointed

Perfectly crisp. Not traditional Korean fried okra but definitely worth getting. Now to the cheese corn. WOW! I've never had anything like it. Corn in a creamy sauce (don't think creamed corn) topped with a thick layer of bubbling cheese. There was a little burned cheese down the edges of the container - can't get better than that. We shared 5 tenders and two sides and still brought home half of the okra. It did take awhile to get our food - we were the only ones there. I can't imagine how long you'll wait on a busy evening. Next time you're visiting Stovehouse, definitely give them a try!

My Sorority Sister and I went there after my hair appointment around the corner. Last time I was here, my group of sorority sisters enjoyed their house made BBQ chips, Montreal poutine, Asian ribs, and fries. The poutine and ribs were bit hits for our group of four. I recall the giant pretzel I had on my visit here with my coworkers. It came with the bro jo beer cheese dip that I recall being delicious and my Sister and I decided to order the Bacon Wrapped Pretzel Bites app., which is described as "bite-sized pretzel pieces wrapped in bacon with hot honey and bro jo cheese sauce." I typically don't like sweet anything, and I did not care for the "hot honey." If you don't care for sweet either, ask for the sauce on the side. As it was I could sort of cover the sweetness of the honey sauce with the cheese dip. The bacon was cooked well and managed to stay crispy, which was good! We split the Cheesesteak sandwich described as "thinly sliced grilled ribeye, sauteed onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms in melty white American cheese served on a toasted hoagie roll with a choice of side." We went with fries as the side and 86d the mushrooms. Thank goodness for the fries, which were good! This sandwich was a crime against sandwiches! If you've ever had the unfortunate experience of eating Steak-umms, then you know what I'm talking about! I think Ale's Kitchen86d all the toppings except the cheese so we had basically Steak-umm "meat" and some cheese. Ale's Kitchen is in a brewery, Straight to Ale, and I'm happy they do offer two wines: a chardonnay and a red blend. I again had the chardonnay which was, as I recalled from the last visit, flavorless. The staff were friendly, efficient, answered questions, ensured we had everything we needed, were overall kind, and our orders were promptly prepared and delivered to our table. The restrooms were clean!

I didn't have high expectations, but I would definitely go back. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. The fries good. Thursday at dinner time and there were two tables taken. A sign?…read more Ok, our bad, we ordered grilled chicken at a place that even has burgers in their name. We were served a giant grilled chicken sandwich. It looked delish. That was our bad too. The chicken looked like it had seasoning on it, maybe it was just crud from the grill, but this was definitely an unseasoned piece of chicken. We both ordered grilled mushrooms and onions. Those didn't even help the flavor. We moved on to honey mustard, trying to save the sandwich. Unfortunately, the sauce did nothing but make the bun fall apart. We now had a flavorless mess to deal with - eat it or trash it. My husband chose "eat it" because he hates to see food wasted. He complained with almost every bite. I chose "trash it" - I'm too old to eat things I don't like. There were numerous sides available - fries, tots, o-rings, cheese curds and fried pickles. We opted for the rings to share. For just over $4, we received 6 onion rings. They weren't anything special at all - just a rip-off. My husband and I have gotten into the habit of rating every meal - luckily he's generous with the stars when I'm cooking! We had waffled a little but decided on a three. That's until we went to the restroom to wash our hands. The woman's room obviously hadn't had a good, deep cleaning in quite some time. It's beyond the point of a couple paper towels and a bottle of windex. My husband said the men's room wasn't the best either. That three stars suddenly became a hard 2. Wayback Burgers is convenient for us, their loyalty program is pretty straightforward and coupons are not too difficult to find. Unfortunately, the food and cleanliness just made all of those positives nill.

The did the honey sage paloma and asked to go light on the syrup. Highly recommended, tart with a little sweetness and kick. For apps I went with the crawfish and shrimp cake and smoked chicken wings. The crawfish and shrimp cakes are a great idea. The fry was great on the cake. The flavor was a little lost. I thought initially it was the tartar that overpowered the cake and that is partially true. I did try a bite without the tartar and it was still a tad on the bland side. The wings had a great fry and smoke flavor as well. They were a bit overcooked and dry. The Alabama sauce was real good and added needed moisture to the wings. The breading appeared to be fairly heavy, ie the bread to meat ratio was on the bread side. The service was good and very fast, there were just some execution challenges for the food. The menu is real interesting and I'm willing to try some of the other offerings on another visit.

I've eaten here before and wasn't thrilled. Tonight, however, was a complete 180…read more We spent the afternoon at the VBC. We weee hungry and it was pouring buckets. Co/Op was close. I decided to give it another shot. Saturday night, 6pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. I asked for a gluten free menu. They didn't have one. But what they had was even better. Emma, our server, went through every menu item and told me what was safe, what could be modified and what to stay away from. Her knowledge of the menu was stellar and something that's lacking in most restaurants. One of my hang ups during my last visit was being served an old fashioned when I ordered a Sazerac. I asked Emma, who apologized as she told me they were out of absinthe. She not only knew the food menu but also the drink menu. Emma, you are a light in a dining arena full of mediocre. I ordered the scallops and risotto. The plate arrived with 4 large scallops. It's not uncommon for large scallops to be gummy with a soapy, not sweet flavor. My scallops were the exact opposite. They were perfect. The creamy, slightly sweet/slightly salty risotto was the perfect accompaniment. The accompanying broccolini was a miss - it was extremely bitter. Unpleasantly so. My husband had the pot roast ragout. He said it was alright - everything was hot but the potatoes. They were cold - he said it threw him off and just wasn't very enjoyable. He did enjoy the cheese biscuits and the bit of mine that I was willing to share. One way I judge a restaurant is by whether I'd come back. I posed that question to him. He said it was worth another try. Service was on point - Emma was a rock star in my book. The wine and beer were at a perfect temperature and the wine pour was generous. Co/Op is in the Embassy Suites. Parking was easy and free tonight; but, depending on what's going on in town, you can't count on that. Two entrees, two drinks and tip was upward of $120. Expensive? Yes, but the scallops and service were so good that I didn't even blink. Will I be back? Undoubtably.
