I have an older home that seems to require more attention every year…read more Many times it has been a plumbing issue, and sadly I've always had bad luck with plumbers. NOT ANY MORE! Mother Modern Plumbing will be the only plumbing service that I'll ever call again. I had been dealing with a shower and washing machine drain stoppage for a while. All other drains were fine and nothing I tried was working to clear the blocked shower and washer drain. This experience with Mother Modern Plumbing was as perfect as it gets. The first thing I noticed when I called was a quality of true kindness.. Gabby took that call and she was great. Even with my complicated schedule this week (medical appointments) she managed to work me into their schedule. She was absolutely excellent. And each of their team members that I spoke with, also had that same quality of kindness. Just genuine NICE people. Willie came over to clear the drain problem and he's an awesome guy. He figured out immediately the best approach to get the clog out. And he showed me the images with a special camera down in the drain. He's by far the most considerate person I've ever had over here. My two dogs were especially bad and barked terrible at him.. and he remained calm, relaxed and pleasant. He even saved one of them out in the street because I had left the gate open. Not only are they great people at Mother's, but they charged less than any others that I checked. I checked a lot. The 1st plumbing company that I called required a fee just to come and look at the problem, for an estimate of what the actual job will cost.. their estimate fee was about the same as Mother's full fee was for doing the entire job, with no estimate fee charged. From the beginning, the visit felt focused on upselling and recommending additional work rather than simply addressing the warranty repair. After getting other opinions and comparing pricing, we decided to hire a different company. The quotes I received from Mother's Plumbing were more than double what I found elsewhere for comparable work. What concerned me most was that Willie later showed up at my home without an appointment, phone call, or any prior discussion with me, apparently intending to install a part. I found that extremely unprofessional. Overall, the entire experience left me with the impression that the priority was getting me to spend as much money as possible rather than helping resolve the actual issue. I was very disappointed with the pricing, communication, and overall experience, and I would not recommend this company.
