Two times I've walked out of this coffee shop after having paid for my beverages. Neither time did I ask for a refund. I just left. If a business owner can't afford to hire the proper amount of staff, especially on a busy weekend, maybe just close the store down. All I ask for as a customer is a drink in a reasonable amount of time. And for drinks to be made and served in order. The fact that I ordered a cappuccino shouldn't mean that I have to wait until all of the customers in the line up behind me are served teas and coffees and food items. Seriously, wtf is that? I like this blenz. It is a cozy little place and in a great location. The service was okay. The drink menu is fantastic. I had my favourite hot chocolate drink. They have so many options! Especially the tea selection and the hot chocolate. The nice thing about their hot chocolates is that they use real chocolate shavings! I'd recommend this place for any hot chocolate enthusiasts! This is my go-to coffee shop! In general, I find Blenz makes their drinks less sweet than other places, which I really appreciate, and their dark mochas strike a nice balance between coffee and cacao flavours. They've got fun seasonal flavours that are fairly varied and change from year to year, and I'm a sucker for their baked goods, especially the peanut butter cookies. This particular location is also quite roomy and comfortable-feeling, and the staff are always prompt and very friendly. I love coming here on weekends to sit down for an hour or two to get myself in the right mindset for whatever I'm working on. read more

Blenz surpassed Starbucks. I mean, I don't love starbucks, but I really don't have a choice since there's a Starbucks in every single block. Blenz by far is the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered their caramel machiato. When I got my coffee, it looked very pretty! They even had the cute little swirly poo on top! We also ordered a ton of pastries! I swear, I need to check my blood sugar from eating too much sweets in that cafe! Our favorite pastry was the Rocky Road Brownie chunk. It was the last pastry we ordered and even hesitated to get it after eating our Red Velvet Cupcake and some pecan pastry thing. I'm so glad I made the final decision to order the Rocky Road Brownie chunk! I pray everyday that Blenz will soon open one in The Bay Area! read more

The first Blenz I liked. My friend used to work here when it first opened up. Loved the coffee there. Used to hang out there often and get my morning commute java before getting on the bus to work. Benz coffee is a Canadian chain which serves better coffe than Starbucks. The roasts flavors are fresher and the coffee is made by drip. I found myself coming here on multiple occasions on my visit. They also have free wifi for all patrons who order an item from Blenz. If you need your java, Blenz is a good alternative. Plus I'm the Duke of this Blenz. Not bad for an out of towner. read more

I must be the only one who is consistently disappointed with this location. They don't carry stevia packets, (other locations on Davie do) they are by FAR the slowest baristas of any shop, and not because they are making a better coffee. I got a sandwich which was dated as sell by the next day- holy crap, it was already soaked through on one slice of bread, the other was completely stale. How does that even happen? Regardless of how, it was a $7.00 bite of gross. (I know these aren't made on site, but the quality was terrible) The protein shakes "made with frozen yogurt" were made with Dairyland Frozen Yogurt mix poured straight out of the carton. Not frozen. And really, really awful. This spot is now on my "don't bother" list. If I want blenz I'll go to the Granville/Davie location, I've rarely had any issues whatsoever there. read more

This is the second blenz I've been to. I like the latte here it is perfect. The coloring and artistry in the liquid is amazing. The staff here were cool and the corner spot allowed for great people watching. Plenty of shopping around after you have your coffee. read more

I'm with a lot of the other recent reviewers: the customer service here needs some serious work. Day in here to catch up with a friend for a few hours - not one did someone clean tables (it was really busy), the were always lineups, and it took a while to get my drink. It seems, texting and gossip is what pays the bills here, instead of cleanliness and a smile. Still I return? Maybe. If I need reliable WiFi and power outlets, big windows... And everything else along this strip is packed (which it usually is). read more

I would like to give Kudos to Koji, the barristo at the Davie and Bute location for taking care of an awkward situation last week. My friend wanted to treat me to a coffee and scone for my birthday. When he presented his gift card to pay for our orders, we were told by the cashier that we couldn't use it. She had no clear explanation. My friend was immediately embarassed and obviously upset and asked to speak to the manager. There was no manager present. Koji immediately picked up the phone and contacted the manager. We paid cash and sat down as the line was growing behind us. Koji came to us at our table and gave us two 2 for 1 beverage cards sincerely apologizing. His customer service skills impressed us. If I was still in the hospitality industry, I would hire him in a heartbeat! read more

I don't normally review chains, but I make an exception for local chains. And Blenz is definitely not something that I find in my neck of the woods. We stopped by here for a pick-me-up during our downtown trek. I got a macha chillato that was accidentally served to me a size larger than I had ordered. I appreciated the extra portion, but it wasn't that good. It was refreshing, but tasted watered down. Next time I'm in Van-city, maybe I'll try another flavor. read more

I come here before work almost every night. The Hot Chocolate is the closest I will ever be to tasting a hug. Great for those rainy Vancouver nights when you realize you're a loser destined for working the job you have twenty years after you die, and that you will never be a rock star. After waiting approx 5 minutes for service while the two staff hung out in the back texting and giggling . Then not being understood because her English is horrible. ( not against foreign workers ) just against workers that can not or will not learn the local language. Then after this had to clean one of many uncleaned tables Just to be able to sit down and enjoy our coffee This place has gone down hill real fast in the last few months. Dark chocolate mocha was the best I ever had at a chain!

I have been going to this Blenz Coffee shop on Davie and Bute for few times to meet one of my friends. I really like their coffees. But? I have an issues with a several of their employees. All my visits at this location - none of them smile or even say hello/thank you even I say hello with smile but still nope. :( I even said thank you with big smile when I received my smiles and they still gave me the cold look. That was really rude. :-/ One thing really bothering me lot about this place - In my last two visits, one white lady with thick eyebrows tried to rip me off by tried to charge me twice for ONE DRINK! For example, I ordered iced mocha latte yesterday, she informed me that costs $9.89. I was asking her about are she being sure that is actual price for this drink and her facial reaction were like oh crap I caught her. That speaks the volume but she did fixed the error. I was not happy that she tried to rip me off on purpose twice. Reviewers on here are correct that they do poor job on keeping the coffee shop clean and poor customer services. I hope you're read this and get your act together and improve the coffee shop experience for all. read more

Lattes are often great, but with Blenz everything is always hit or miss because it depends on the Barrista, no consistency. The washroom at this location is disgusting, almost reminds me of the washroom in Trainspotting. Four stars because I am often happy with lattes to go. read more

Since there renovations and even before it and I'm not thrilled with the new decor either, the quality of the cinnamon buns which other Benz still have in good quality left a lot to be desired If the owner changed the supplier as different from other Blenzs (if they can do that with franchises) they should go back. Still I like the location and with company tolerable except the you have to move from your table of the delivery man can't take the food into the kitchen. read more
