Been here twice already but didn't get to write a review till now. I love that this company is local and I can just swing by. Originally I called customer service to see if there was an issue with my blender as it was producing a black powder substance in the base of the jar when I use it. The call to customer service (the wait time before someone answered was 1 hour and 10 minutes!). I'm sure this is due to the pandemic and the company is understaffed due to COVID. They do tell you that on the website. However, after the long wait, the rep was friendly and was able to ask me key troubleshooting questions in order to determine whether it was a jar issue or the motor itself. In the end, it ended up being a jar issue. After determining I needed a jar replacement, and the customer service rep knew I was local, she suggested me just driving to their location and picking up a new jar (bringing my old one back and returning it to them). Normally, if they were to mail the new jar, it would take two to six weeks due to shipping delays and COVID. I was able to come in and get a new jar in person without any issue. Stay Away! Not worth it. Buy a Ninja or Vitamix. Wow, I just ordered a replacement gasket for the Blendtec Go directly from the home office. $38.00 with shipping for a piece of rubber. You can't even find the replacement gasket anywhere on line. They hold a monopoly on it. The customer service rep I talked with laughed when I told her I could buy a whole new unit for $140. She replied, yup, and you would get free shipping with it as well. ha ha. Never will I order another Blendtec item because of the principal and their price gouging. read more

Blendtec DOES NOT CARE. After I decided to get a "real" blender for home use, I was debating between Blendtec and Vitamix. Blendtec offers only a 2 year warranty for their Total Blender Classic vs a Vitamix 5200 (7 year warranty). I emailed Blendtec's customer service Support address (from their website), asking why I should buy their unit given the shorter warranty. After 6 days, I have not yet received a reply. After waiting 3 days, I emailed Tom Dickerson, Blendtec's founder & now Executive Chairman asking him the same question. I also messaged him via LinkedIn. Three days later, no reply from Tom. This told me all I needed to know. read more

Very unhappy former Blendtec customer... bought the 725 model about six years ago... registered online then for warranty... now the touch screen has failed... 'error touch control BIST failed code 04' and I called customer service... they said they had no info from me in their system and I never registered it with them so they went by the manufacture date stamped on it and said I'm six months out of warranty... sorry... we'll send you a coupon they said. Over $600 and about a thousand blends on it... that means it cost about 60 cents every time I used it if you don't compound annual interest. I know that company was sold and I wonder if other people who registered their warranty also coincidentally have been told that they never did. I am looking for a new blender today AND IT WILL NOT be a Blendtec blender. read more

I've had my blendtec for over 10 years and it still works great. I have had to replace the jar once due to it cracking, but other than that it's been great. read more

For the price of the blenders, and that we've had some issues with our jars, etc. I expect great customer service. Maying that much for an appliance, you also assume Nordstrom type customer service and I that's not the case here. read more

Do not buy. My Blendtec started smoking while blending and then on the next blend, as a test I tried just blending plain water in the jar and it turned totally brown, with plastic shards all in it! Really gross, who knows how long I've been drinking plastic bits. So then I created a warranty ticket on their website and they never responded, I was totally ignored. I just called Blendtec today because my blender hasn't been working like it used to. The blender isn't catching the blade so it smells like something is burning and my spinach comes out chunky :( According to my serial # of both motor and jar, I was about 3 months past my 8 year warranty, but they are still sending me a new jar which seems to be the problem and they have redesigned them. How amazing is that??!! That saved me $110.00 to replace. That is awesome customer service and I am excited to have smooth smoothies once again :) read more

So I have only had my blendtec wild side blender for a little over 2 years and 401 uses. The seal under the drive shaft at the bottom of the canister started to smoke and then peeled off with a loud whurrr .... All we had to do was fill out the form and without them contacting us to say it was on the way a new canister showed up here in less than 10 days no questions asked. I phoned them and asked if they wanted the old one shipped back they said no, just recycle it. So we did. So their warranty on their products is legit. I just hope we don't experience the same thing with this canister. read more

Don't fall for their "extended warranty". If you gonna check, - they do actually have 8y warranty only for very fancy and expensive appliances. Even more expensive comparing to the basic ones. For the $500 blender you can get two other brand blenders and they will last long. But here they are promising something and after 2 years after rear usage, - blender is making weird noises. Don't fall for "made in US". All the components probably sourced from China. I filled warranty request, - nobody came back to me. Ever. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! I placed 2 orders for our kids shipping to different locations. They have no order information on Web orders and shipped both the blenders to the wrong address. I held for 25 minutes and the Cust Serv person had no information on her screen about my orders. She needed a Supv to start her computer and that would take 15 minutes. They are really not organized and seem to me to be in financial trouble. The Cust Serv people on the phone do not have any information. I would not buy direct from them for any reason. read more

This blender has not delivered what I expected. It is almost impossible to blend any frozen fruit in it. Next time I will go with VitaMix.

Love/Hate relationship. I have the same problem I read a lot of people have, the rubber ring under the blade starts to rub and smoke and then peel up getting into the food. I have had to return the blender twice now which is a HUGE PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!!!! We bought it at CostCo so the return process is pretty easy but still NOT WHAT I WANT TO SPEND MY TIME DOING The positives are that thing can blend up anything like a freaking champ! I made all my kids baby food at home with it and it made it so EASY! It makes everything easier. I can make fruit smoothies with protein and spinach and not even taste it. Well worth the price IF THEY FIX THE WELL DOCUMENTED PROBLEM OF THAT RUBBER RING!!!!!!!! BlendTech is probably not getting another chance, I just can't justify my child getting chunks of rubber in his food and it breaking out in smoke randomly.....not good read more

Piss poor machine. Not only did I buy the Stealth model, but I also purchased numerous containers. In 9 months I've sent back 5 blenders total. My experience with Blendtec made me never want to buy or use their products ever again. I paid for the shipping 3 out of the 5 times I sent the product back. I have had this blender for a little over 4 months and I faced the commonly heard " defect " The shaft at the bottom of the blender canister , made some weird sound, became loose and fragments of the seal got ground into my shake. It seems to be made poorly, for really light Sunday /occasional use only or this is the company's way of building in quick obsolescence. Either way, until the company gets its act together, acknowledges the faulty design and replace the defective part as a policy, I would urge everyone to avoid this product or return it to the store if you thought of it as a Christmas gift. We had our first blender and jar (bought in 2008) for years without a problem until it abruptly stopped turning on several years later, but it was under warranty, so we got a new one. Since the new one we have gone through a few bases and many, many jars as they have leaked our food onto the blender base or thrown machine oil around or cracked. Each time they said something like "oh, we've redone the seal this time so you shouldn't have that problem again". Their customer service is stellar, though. For eight years they replaced it every time it had a problem (fortunately I live close enough to drive down there to avoid paying shipping and to avoid missing my morning smoothie for the days it would take to ship). I probably went through five bases and I don't even know how many new jars. Once our warranty was up, the next time the jar broke I had to decide whether to buy a new one or not and I did buy a new one, only because a. I already had the base b. the new jar has a 3 year warranty and c. they gave me a steep discount. But next time I need a new blender, I will probably try something else. This blender is expensive and I thought it was supposed to be the be-all-end-all of blenders. It definitely isn't. I'm not impressed by it blending up iphones and other things (on willitblend.com) if it can't even blend up some frozen bananas and almond milk once a day for a few months without the jar leaking. I do think the quality used to be better (since the first one we had lasted many years) and I'm not sure what has changed since then. read more
