Horseback riding: -Fitted on horse and ride out around 6pm -Rider weight must be less than 225 lbs. -It's better to ride out long before dusk -Horses are sturdy and range all different ages. -The ride duration is 1.5 hours. -The trails are wooded and elevated steeply in certain areas. Hayride: -Tractor drawn carriage with no sides. -Sit crisscross applesauce facing inward to avoid being hit in the face by branches. Western BBQ: -Served hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda and water, and s'mores. I was expecting more in the line of meat but it's worth the experience for the price. DJ/Music: -The DJ played a variety of country tunes in the beginning. Once everyone was fed, the music shifted to line dance tunes. The instructor taught us how to do the cotton eye joe, Cupid shuffle, chicken dance, and a couple other well known dances.

Now, I wouldn't recommend this barn to anyone because I had a contractual dispute regarding a lease with Teicia Walker and Marc W. This led to being unceremoniously blocked and then banned from the barn based upon lies and carefully worded threats framed to the barn owner, Gina. (I was paying $550, while another lessor paid $275, others less so- all the while I had to purchase move-x injections, food, made signs for dietary restrictions, always brought fresh nutritious snacks, pampered the horse every time I was there, stayed long hours to prepare him for shows where I wouldn't be showing him, and obtained my own tack trunk, investing in the horse I loved so much). I wanted to resume lessons with another trainer after a time, and Gina allowed me to book. I received a call back from Gina shortly thereafter with an elevated and disrespectful tone stating she doesn't do drama-- I didn't call with drama, I called to book a lesson. Essentially, I was told that if I were to return to the barn for lessons, Teicia would remove her horses from there, which would then lead to a loss of revenue. I was taken off the schedule (sounds a lot like extortion). Is it Teicia's barn or is it Gina's? The inability to discern why, when I had done nothing wrong and only tried to right the course to train with another trainer after a cooling off period, and on the original horse I had trained on previously, I was still told no unless things were worked out with Teicia. There was no working anything out with Teicia as she had been busy defaming my character and making up ridiculous lies to justify removing me from the barn. I wanted to go on days she wasn't there and just leave afterwards, even this was not considered. This is NOT the barn I thought it was, it is only suitable if you enjoy drama, enjoy being defamed, and having your character assassinated because you would not remain silent while being ripped off. Quite a grift, buyer BEWARE.

Consider more for recreation than a way to learn. We've been riding with Seaton since 2024 and have unfortunately had a mostly unpleasant experience. The place itself is beautiful and convenient, and hence the 2 stars. The teachers are a mixed bag. Most are high schoolers who probably get credits for teaching. Some of them are good as teachers and with kids and others are average. Classes are quite disorganized. When we'd ride, we would arrive on time and wait around for the teacher to get the horse cutting classes by anywhere from 15 - 20mins. We also had situations where we were assigned large horses for very young kids in spite of requesting smaller horses / ponies in the notes. Lastly, their systems are quite poor. We bought each of our girls a rider card but there is no portal or communication around usage, billing, expiry etc. The previous management (Wendy) made up for the lack of organization at Seaton through passion and customer service. However, the new management seems more commercially minded and more inexperienced in terms of dealing with customers, miscommunication, accommodating loyal customers, etc.

He's grown so much and has made great friendships with the students and the entire staff. On the outside, the school and parking lot looks small, but the morning drop-off service is very convenient. Happy faces like Ms Diogo and Ms Dietz to receive my child and safely walk him into the school so I don't have to park and unload my daughters. Inside the school, it doesn't feel as small- the space is all used efficiently and classrooms are well organized. Children are taught to use materials properly, respect others, and to always be polite. Never feels chaotic or crowded. Playground is well suited for the kids. Adequate staff to watch them. Shoutout to Mrs Mendez who welcomed my son to the school when he first started. Held him on the playground and comforted him when we first acclimated to "going to school" for the first time. Warm and nurturing. Mrs Morales was one of the first assistants I met. So so sweet and my son tells me how much she helps him around the classroom. My son also asked me to sign up for fastrack kids which is a program during recess where they learn about special topics like economics, geology, arts and crafts. Costs extra, but he seems to enjoy it. Admin Ms Dadaian and Mrs Devine are also good with answering my questions, returning phone calls or emails. The school is expensive (tuition and fees add up), but it is absolutely wonderful. No complaints about the school itself.

However, my worries went away immediately once we started the school year. I have always heard great things about this school and it makes sense why. From the start, we were given a very warm and welcoming introduction from the director. Ms. Rathjens, and assistant director Ms. Yun. Both are very involved with interacting with the kids and greeting them throughout the day. They are attentive and responsive, and my kids feel comfortable around them. My son's preschool teacher, Ms. Kellish, and the teacher assistants, Mrs. Morales and Mrs. Ikram, are caring, supportive, and organized. My son loves going to school and always shares how nice his teachers are to him. He has learned so much and has become more independent in class. They encourage him and it shows. My daughter's toddler room teacher, Mrs. Castano, and the teacher assistants, Ms. Ucles, Mrs. Millar, and Mrs. Charles, are all so patient, nurturing, and gentle. They have helped my daughter transition well to school and never hesitate to reach out in case of anything. I also love how they have food tasting every week. My daughter is constantly singing and dancing at home, and I know it's a result from her thriving at school. It feels relieving to know that my kids are in the best care and I don't have to watch the camera like a hawk to see how they are doing. Any time I check in, I see my kids are learning and playing, and are building their independence. The parent teacher communication and level of care are unmatched. The teachers really put forth effort into all that they do and I really appreciate it all. My only regret is not enrolling my son sooner for his first year of school. Jamie and Sarah love the horses so much and always put their health and well-being first. They're smart, compassionate and caring with their students. In less than a year, I was jumping courses and showing at their schooling shows as well as Princeton. I absolutely love CRC and would recommend it to anyone from novice to pro!
