The weather was in the high 70's ... not too bad for us humans but the staff at LSP made sure their horses were sprayed down and wore a protective cover over their ears, eyes and head which I'm assuming is to keep them from getting burnt by the hot sun. This level of care of their horses is exactly the type of institution that I love to support. You can tell they love and understand their horses. The entire staff was engaging and a gentleman named Rodney was superb. He made our experience an amusing one with his knowledge of the horses and their personalities. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! P.S. Got the pleasure of seeing what they called the "biggest horse" at the stable. His name is Norbit and he reminded me of one of the horses you in see in Budweiser commercial. Definitely a sight to see!

I spoke with Carrie who altered her schedule for that day to fit us in and we couldn't have had a more wonderful experience. She took the time to get us comfortable with our horses, I had Montana and my wife had Sonny, and we fed them treats, she showed us how to saddle them up properly, and patiently explained how to properly ride and handle our beautiful horses. She then led us on their scenic trail through flower-bedded fields, hilly horse paths, and by a scenic lake all while she took hundreds of pictures of us throughout our journey to cherish for years to come. Carrie has a beautiful farm, stable, and even an indoor area for riding lessons and parties. Her horses are all beautiful, well-kept, trained to handle all level of riders, and obviously well-loved and cared for. I highly recommend Misty Hollow for everyone, no matter which experience you choose to partake in (trail riding, lessons, parties, equestrian, etc). I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. The first time I was late for my ride and the girl took me out just her and I which was nice because I got to do a lot of things that I probably would not have done, if I was in a group. The second time I went was a Saint Patrick's Day Theme. I took my friend there with her daughter and we took the Hayride which was fun although I'd rather ride. I googled pretty extensively for 'lessons for timid riders' and similar combinations of search terms and came up with Kierson... and what a treat. Beautiful farm and grounds, friendly staff, super patient instruction. The specialty here is saddleseat, something I was never able to but always wanted to try. I did two half hour private lessons with a groupon and found the whole process very easy to set up and book. Thank you Kierson for getting me riding again!
