***HIGHLY RECOMMEND***…read more Such a blast and awesome food for late-night munchies! IIf you want a restaurant where you can dance on your table or around it, El Refu is the place to be! We were a group of six having a great time together on a Thursday night, enjoying delicious food, refreshing drinks, and dancing to the DJ's music. The party was full of energy, and everyone was having a great time. People at various tables were chatting and having a great time together, soaking up the lively atmosphere. We arrived roughly an hour before the kitchen was set to close. The tasty, hot dishes arrived really quickly. We were amazed at how fast our order went from the kitchen to our table. The quesadillas, beef enchiladas, tacos, chips, salsa, and drinks for adults were all delicious!

The food, drinks, and atmosphere were good! My ONLY complaint is that I was overcharged by $2. I know mistakes happen, and $2 is a very small amount, but it is MY money. I called on March 14 and spoke with the manager. In the first conversation, I was told he would look into it and call me back, which he did. At that time, he wanted my card info so he could refund me the money. I asked him if he could use the last 4 of my card number, he said yes. He then called me back and told me he would need my card number and expiration date. I was not willing to give him that information. He kept telling me he was trying to make it right, which I understood, but let's be honest, who gives their card information out over the phone like that?! I didn't like that he was dishonest by telling me he offered to give it to me in cash because he NEVER offered that at all. The manager also told me that the system that they have he would need my card information to refund me the money back to my card. I told him to just keep it.

We were initially planning to look for a barbecue spot but got terribly lost and wound up running into this interesting looking restaurant. Ultimately, we figured whatever we both like Mexican Mexican food let's go. Upon walking in it looked really nice and I honestly was excited to give it a shot. Service-3/5 honestly I don't have anything negative to say about the service, but I also don't really have anything positive. There was very little interaction just came by filled the waters one time and took the order not really much other interaction which honestly is OK with me. I'm typically someone who doesn't need constant attention at a restaurant Food-1/5 I I went back-and-forth on the menu looking at several items and looking back. I truly wish I would've stuck with one of the cheaper ones. Ultimately, we decided to grab a medium fajita which is $50 before the server came by and recommended getting the larger one I did not realize that the larger one was literally double the cost almost at nearly $90. As shocking as it was, we kind of figured whatever while in Rome... The downright offensive side was when they came to the table and it looked honestly like the same size skillet of fajitas that you could get a chilies for like 20 bucks. Don't get me wrong. The food looked good when I saw it so I was still somewhat excited. That did not last long. I took one bite out of the fajitas, and the meat was bouncy and I could not tear it. There was so much like tendons still in it. The meat looked seared yet somehow was i bouncy and soft at the same time. It seemed like there was not an ounce of seasoning on the whole thing. I think we both attempted to eat one fajita before giving up on the plate. I would say probably about 1/6 of the plate was even touched. It was truly that bad mind you for the $90 worth of fajitas. They only give you six tortillas so that should tell you how tiny the portion actually is. Ambience-4/5 The restaurant was cute so I would say it had a decent feel. Price- 1/5 the most expensive Mexican restaurant I have ever been to and unfortunately, one of the worst quality I personally have experienced Altogether the service was OK... The food was pretty bad... And the prices are outrageous at least for what we ordered. I can confidently say I will not recommend this place and I am actually disappointed that I even went in.
