We'd been wanting to try Ble Bistro for several months and finally made it there yesterday. We enjoyed lunch at their beautiful bar top while watching the Indy 500 on their big screen, which was pretty much the most elevated way to watch the race! Service was attentive and friendly. Also impressive was the ambience and decor, which included some of the most fun and unique artwork I've seen in a restaurant. I sipped on a Ble Dirty Martini while we enjoyed the Escargot appetizer. For entrées, we shared the Beef Bourguignon and the Basilic Poulet. Without a doubt, it was the best Beef Bourguignon we've ever had! We ordered madeleines and chocolate mousse to take home with us -- both were delicious and really satisfied my husband's sweet tooth. :) We look forward to dining at Ble Bistro again soon! read more

I thoroughly loved this place. When looking at the outside strip mall setting, you do nooooooot expect what is happening inside. It's so cute, and it's so well decorated. Loved it. We got there very early, around 4:15pm, so service was extremely prompt. Everyone we encountered was lovely. I had the Napoleon cocktail (the whiskey raspberry one) and the Legion cocktail (the foam and fabulous gold leaf one) - I raved about them both. I love whiskey, but I can almost never find a fruit-forward whiskey cocktail. This hit the spot. I had the steak and frites - it was incredibly flavorful and soft. The frites were slightly under-seasoned, in my opinion, but dipping them in the steak sauce made for the perfect combo. I ate every single bite. Service was excellent. Michael was wonderful and helpful. The menu is very promising, and there were lots of things that sounded great. The decor is super cute and very well themed. Unfortunately, the food was just not what I was hoping for when I went for French food. The escargot was ok. Definitely full of garlic butter, which was great. Wish it came with more bread so I could soak up the extra butter. My husband enjoyed his entree, but mine was a little disappointing. The mashed potatoes almost seemed like they were from a box. I had hoped they'd be more creamy and buttery. Overall, the food was ok but it didn't feel overtly French, other than a few specific menu items. I'm hoping they find their groove because it's an adorable place and the service was great. Such a cute place! Given the area it's in, you definitely wouldn't expect to walk into what you actually do. It's absolutely gorgeous with pink velvet chairs at the bar, and French inspired interior. This place popped upon my social media so of course I just had to try, so invite my girlfriend and we went. When mapped the directions I was confused where it was mapping me because it is in the same area as the local Walmart, I drove around looking for a standalone building so kept passing it! I later realized it was literally in the plaza. So let's just say, from the outside you have no idea that you will be walking into the most sleek, pretty place ever that makes you feel like you are in Paris! They left no stone unturned here, they literally thought of every detail. The chairs, the seating, the lights, the music, the silverware, everything is so on point. When I came it was day 10 of them being open. The server was transparent that they were still working on a few things but honestly I would say there isn't much to work on. While I didn't oder an adult beverage, a couple other tables around me did and they look amazing. My food I ordered was really good, chicken and it had sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and some other yummy stuff, I also had a side of fries which were good. My friend got the Salmon and she said it was also really good. The GM was walking around asking for feedback which was really thoughtful, indicating they just really want to get it right. I went on opening night, so I was not expecting everything to be perfect. That being said, the service was a little confusing and slow, but our server and the managers were all friendly and kind. We made reservations ahead of time. I communicated with the GM that one in our party is vegetarian to which they responded they could make vegetarian recommendations. With that being specifically communicated, I assumed that there would be thought out dishes which was, unfortunately, not the case. Once I arrived, they recommended two salads to which they could add tofu. The burrata salad is mislabeled as vegan on their menu. I ended up ordering the mix salad with tofu. It was really soggy and quite flavorless. I also ordered the mashed potatoes which were creamy and very delicious! My partner had the Mussels and the French Burger which he really enjoyed a lot. The bread that comes with the Mussels was also fantastic. Super fresh and buttery, absolutely delicious. We also each had a few cocktails - the French Martini and the Napoleon 15. These were both super yummy! The martini was very smooth and had a subtle sweetness while the Napoleon 15 was sweeter but not overbearingly so. I would recommend both. The bar service was quite slow but they'll likely improve with practice. The GM did speak with us before we left, wanting to hear our thoughts which we freely shared. They do plan to make improvements to their menu for those looking for vegetarian and gluten free options. They also plan to have a rotating menu, so I may check back in a few months from now. What a lovely, intimate addition to the northside. We went on a Saturday night and were greeted so warmly right away. It was busy, but not loud at all--everyone kind of settled into their own conversations, which made it feel really cozy. We had a French martini, a Champs Élysées, and a Maison Old Fashioned to start... great drinks all around. For dinner, we ordered the French onion soup, house salad, Basilic Poulet, and a Croque Monsieur. Everything felt thoughtful and really well done. The slow and somewhat unorganized service we credited to the newness of this restaurant. Startup difficulties and that will hopefully iron itself out. The food was mere average. Several of us ordered the onion soup for starters. It looked good and had a lot of melty cheese making for a nice cheese pull, but ... The soup was rather bland and resembled more of an onion gratinee with very little to no broth. I received my entree before my soup appetizer and another guest had to remind the staff several times that she had also ordered soup. I tried to enjoy the Salade Nicoise, but again, bland. And it sure looked and tasted like canned tuna on top of that salad. Bland turned out to be the theme for the night. So sad. Even the pork chops with raspberry sauce and Brussels sprouts were deemed bland. I really liked this small, strip mall, family French Bistro shoved in next to a Walmart of all places. The space is well appointed and has a nice, relaxed feel to it. Our service was excellent throughout. Everything felt well thought out. We began with drinks from a very creative drink menu. My wife had the Legion with rum Aperol, orange liqueur, gold edible luster and this amazing "house foam." Really attractive as well as tasty drink. I had the Napoleon made with bourbon, raspberry puree, Cointreau, Campari, lime juice and prosecco. If anyone would have told me that bourbon, Campari and prosecco would mix I would have said they were crazy. But, I ordered it and it was excellent. We shared a French Onion Soup for a starter and it was filled with flavor. Good, sweet onion flavor and not overpowered with the broth as so many lesser soups are. For main courses, my wife had the French Burger with brie, caramelized onions and Ble sauce. Not exactly sure what was in the sauce, but she was very happy with it. I had Basilic Poulet. IT is hand breaded herb chicken over a basic-vodka marina and topped with burrata and sauteed garlic mushrooms. What an interesting flavor and texture combination. It all mixed so well. Went to a cute French restaurant for my birthday this year. We usually try places in the city so we picked somewhere that we wouldn't normally frequent. Do I need to go all the way out here again, no but if you're in the area try it out. The French onion soup 10/10. This was our second visit the first was for appetizers this one was for dinner. We had to get the mussels again, some of the best we have had in Indiana for sure. I got the filet Au Poivre and it was great, they didn't fuss about modifying the sides and the wait staff was very knowledgeable. My wife got the french soup, it was great as well but she was full because she couldn't stop eating the mussels. Bartender Christopher was also great. My wife got a pork chop. She loved it. Her pork chop arrived 8-10 minutes after my chicken. They obviously screwed something up. Not a big deal. The mashed potatoes were definitely creamy, but not the same quality as the rest of the food. Because of the timeliness of getting the food they gave us a crème brûlée desert for free. We have fantastic food in Noblesville and Ble stands up to the competition at a reasonable price. We went old school with French onion and Beef Bourguignon. We ended with a lemon and raspberry cake that may have had the best raspberries I have ever tasted. The decor and presentation was fun and not at all austenatious.
