They are incoherent and cannot even remember what they told you. They sold me a boat and I put $2,000 down. Then I find out they don't even have the keys to it. They jerked me around for weeks and I am still fighting to get my money back! They are all a mess and obviously on drugs! Stay away, you will feel as foolish as I do!

Beware of this place. We had a bad experience with them 4 years ago and only tried them again because our neighbor just bought a boat from them and gave the management good reviews. Very unprofessional and rude. Go to Texas Hydro Sports instead. Here is the GM's untouched response: "After pulling a 14 day straight shift to get customers back on the water for the air show, the owner gave us time off Sunday afternoon, since not a customer came in. We regret that this inconvienced you. Since you are already upset with the fact we did not put up a sign, I am not sure we can make you happy servicing your boat. We do try to accomodate as many of our customers as possible. We also realize we are not going to make everyone happy. Thanks for trying us at The Boat Shop. I purchased two Seadoo watercraft from these people in 2016. At the time I purchased the boats I…read morewas told we did not need a trailer for them. They would deliver them to our lake house and service them there or pick them up if they needed to be serviced in the shop. One of the boats had a problem with the Brake/Reverse feature this spring. I called Texas Hydro Sports to see if they could come an pick up the boat. The woman on the phone said it would be 9 MONTHS before they could get to me. WHAT!!! I suggested to her that it made no sense for me to have them pick up the boat in January 2019! She said that was their schedule. I asked if they had a trailer I could borrow and I could bring the boat to them. She told me they did not have any trailers to loan. They did, however, have some for sale. I could come and purchase a trailer and then deliver the boat to them. I asked how that would influence the service schedule. She said they had a lot of boats ahead of me so it would probably be a couple of months. I suggested that the summer would be almost over by that time. She agreed!!! I asked to speak to someone else. She had the manager/owner call me back a couple of days later. I told him my tale of woe. He said he would "look into it" and call me back. It has now been three weeks and he has yet to call me back. In the intervening time I went to Texas Adventure Powersports in Richardson (https://www.texasadventure.com). I told them I had a boat that needed service, they loaned me a trailer, I went back to the lake and picked up the boat, dropped it off at the dealer. 9 days later they called me to tell me my boat was ready. I picked it up on their loaner trailer and delivered it back to the lake. It runs perfectly. Bottom line: There are some good places to buy watercraft in the Dallas area. Texas Adventure Powersports is certainly one of the best. There is no need to deal with the likes of people like Texas Hydro Sports. If we avoid them perhaps the business will fail and we can get a good dealer to open at the lake. Too bad Yelp only allows reviews of 1 or above. I would have rated this business ZERO!

I wish I had read the reviews before contacting this dealership. I was searching for a 2026 Yamaha…read more222SE, and after finding that Marineland Boating Center, WACO had a 2025 model listed at a very attractive price, I reached out to discuss a trade-in for my pristine 2020 Yamaha 195S SVHO (only 54hrs on the engine). Unfortunately, the experience quickly devolved into a bait-and-switch sales tactic. After providing a low-ball offer on my trade-in, they hit me with a series of aggressive mark-ups that brought the final price higher than a brand-new 2026 model at a different dealership. Most notably, they attempted to charge an additional $700 for items like batteries, a fire extinguisher, and a spare tire--essentials that should be standard on any new boat sale (see attached screenshot). It is absurd to pay thousands in "undisclosed fees" for a previous year's model, and I was especially shocked by the $200 "lake test" fee. Imagine being asked to pay for a test drive at a car dealership! I am incredibly relieved that I rejected this FARCE / SHAM offer and avoided making the two-hour drive to Marineland Waco. Save your time and money; this dealership's sales practices are completely unprofessional. ps. this review is also posted on their web site at [ https://www.marinelandwacoyamaha.com/read-other-customers-comments-about-us--xtestimonials ], we'll see if they publish it...
