We also received a very competitive quote, which we thought was great considering the quality of materials used. Another company, who I won't name was a little less expensive but they were not using the same quality materials. Patrick McNerny, was our project manager. He was great to work with. He was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question and he ensured the roof was finished up to standard. Overall, this was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, especially Patrick and Joe.

First off, after 4 separate inspections, including with a foreman…read moreand engineer, they grossly mis-estimated the project and after quoting me a whopping $158,000 to do my roof (admittedly with repairs) with a contract that I agreed to and signed, they got deeply into the project with the roof ripped off and THEN came to me and said it is going to be more or we have to scale the project back (basically refusing to finish the contracted project for that amount with a half destroyed roof at that point), and I graciously agreed to amend the contract and shrink the project. HOWEVER they didn't really even complete the project as described and left a mess that I then have been cleaning up every since (over the past 5 months), and made a HUGE mess of my pool! We then had an unforeseen delay in getting them the final $18K (after delivering $140,000 to them as a cash transfer!), and they threatened to come start taking pieces OFF my roof. AND when I did finally get the final funds transferred to them, it was $3500 MORE than the $18K and they have refused to return it to me thus far, almost 3 months after the payment was received. I am starting legal action as a result and will file with the BBB.

I later learned that the furnace he said was old and needed replacement was less than 2 years old. Refused to assist me in applying for National Grid furnace rebate- which a customer cannot do without trade ally assistance. My mother also had a furnace installed last summer; her tradesmen promptly and easily provided the necessary rebate information. Never advised me what type of filter my furnace needs, and when I called to ask, didn't know. Was rude and defensive raising his voice (aggressive since he is a man and I am a woman and his voice is therefore naturally louder than mine) when I told him I was disappointed with his service.

(Oye vay, our house had needed a lot of work, so we did the inside, and landscaping first.. while the roof waited patiently) This month we FINALLY scheduled to have our - very old, badly maintained, bondoed.. duct taped.. (from WAY back) ..mess of a flat roof ... TOTALLY FIXED! We interviewed 3 companies and went with VANDERHOOF. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made since moving to the area. Vanderhoof came in with a swat team of capable roofers, and worked like a band of Army Engineers. They tore off DECADES of badly done roof work, layer after layer after layer. (What a mess of construction debris!) At the end of every work day, they left our yard immaculate. Then they built, and built, and restructured, and redesigned. (Flat roofs need expert attention). The work took a bit longer than they estimated due to the amazing number of layers to be removed, and their painstaking rebuilding process - but the Syracuse weather cooperated *(!!) and the work finished yesterday and it looks fantastic! (Photo shows NEW SPECTACULAR FLAT ROOF! Later I'll dig out the original roof.. it looked like a moonscape of bulbous waves and misguided historic attempts to mesh a labyrinth of disconnected ill selected materials. (We inherited it in 2016. ) I can't recommend Vanderhoof highly enough.

Once the proposal is accepted, they email a link with no other terms than 29% Carrier Card, and the customer is misled to look into the application for other terms, and this is false. The customer is finishing with a hard inquiry on his/her credit, lowering his/her credit score, and a Wellsfargo $xx,xxx new credit which definatly increases the DTI ratio. In other words, Potter HVAV is messing the credit of good people.... Be aware of it.
