I was helping my Mom apply for a credit card and she's recovering from a stroke. As soon as we were walking up a worker came to hold the door for my Mom. We were greeted and helped right away. The bank is very clean with private rooms. Those rooms are also very good with sound proofing. It keeps things private so personal data is not heard by neighboring rooms. I'll definitely be using this Chase location for any in person assistance! We'll definitely be back?

You know how sometimes you need very specific documentation of your account from the bank? Well…read moretoday was one of those days. I drove over an hour to the closest chase, maple grove. I was really specific about what I needed, a statement showing balance as of today. "It must include today" The girl trying to help me seemed new so she asked her supervisor for help. Supervisor kinda came by but didn't really help. Both were clearly trying to hit all the buttons for good customer service and relationship building. It made me uncomfortable. Did you just read dale carnige? Well I left and drove another hour to drop off the paperwork and guess what! They gave me a copy of my statement from last month which obviously doesn't include today. Now I have rush hour traffic so about 3 hours to drive home all for nothing! Thanks for wasting my time and gas and giving me a headache and delaying really important paperwork! Great customer service. So I called the bank, there is no option for any after hours service at all. How about they fix that if they want to provide customer service. But at the very least, don't provide a disservice. My day is crap because I bank at chase.

The only reason I kept them was how convenient the locations were along with the hours of operation with them strongly promoting 7 days a week for many years. TCF has declined tremendously as more people bank online, write less checks and use direct deposit. TCF have even started pulling branches out of Cub Foods which was one of the major pluses of the bank. Despite Well's Fargo taking a lot of heat in the past for some not so friendly business practices, I wanted to give them a chance to see for myself by visiting a branch to open a new account. I made an appointment online the night before to visit this branch for the following morning. I showed up the next morning and was immediately greeted at the door by a staff member. She was very friendly and informed her I had set up an appointment the night before to meet with a banker. I didn't have to wait at all, my banker Nyia introduced himself and went back to his desk. Nyia was friendly, knowledgeable, asked me the right questions and really to start a relationship with the bank along with discussing some of my goals and ideas. He printed out a copy of all the paperwork that I had signed and even took the time to go through it again highlighting key points of the account to achieve the welcome bonus. I hate going to the bank in person but honestly it was an excellent experience, I get the backing of a big bank with the touch of an actual local banker from the community. The experience was customer focused the entire time during the visit far exceeding any type of experience with TCF. Thank You Nyia!

However, I typically either make a deposit or withdrawal through the drive-thru ATMs and I have found that either one or the other is down more often than not. While not the worst that could happen, it is inconvenient to have only one available, which creates a longer-than-usual line and ultimately causes confusion. The woman (I don't know her name, I guess I wasn't worth the time for an introduction) started our meeting by pointing at me and asking "What do you need?", while I was waiting for a banker (right after drilling another waiting customer as to why he was waiting). What followed was a very brief monologue of "Thats our policy and I don't make the policy." I was there to handle an insurance claim for my vehicle, which is financed by Financial One. Apparently they feel entitled to any insurance payout you receive, and don't care to take the time to even evaluate the situation. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CREDIT UNION. They don't care about you, they don't care about your finances, and they will constantly refer to you as a "non-member" if you don't have a full membership with them. I would rate this credit union a 0 star if Yelp allowed it.
