I really hope they bring back their lunch special menu. Without it I don't think I'd be back. Prices are high and without the ability to do combos of carbs and salads my meal lacks the variety I like. The lunch special allows you to pair two so you can get a mix of carbs and greens lol. Waitresses have all been nice and in general the ambiance is pleasant, it would have been a go-to if the prices were lower for the food. I like the outdoor area and where it's located in Old Town. Please please fire your kitchen crew. I have been here three times now. Every single time it's trash food and extreme wait times for no reason. Not only did the beer taps malfunction but I was brought out a pulled pork sandwich almost twenty five minutes before my girlfriends pizza was brought out. Last time they threw whole garlic on the pizza as "roasted garlic." The unprofessionalism from the kitchen staff grab assing and giving each other the middle finger is beyond embarrassing for the company and I suggest they do a full staff reset. Awesome Thursday night dinner here in July 2021. I met 2 friends and we decided to sit at the bar instead of a short 30 minute wait for a table. The bar gives you a good view of the TVs and it wasn't too loud to have conversation. I really enjoyed my pizza--fig, prosciutto, arugula and feta--such a good combination I never would have thought of. My friend built her own pizza and I like that they give you a little paper form to check off which toppings you'd like. A huge selection of beers-the only covid restriction is that you can't pour your own --I totally didn't mind and appreciate that they are keeping a high standard of sanitation. Life's Too Short Have a Blast! Shopping in downtown Clovis, I had the good fortune to stumble upon this restaurant & tap Room. The first thing you notice when you walk in is that there's a gazillion beers on tap. Here's how it works: You get a card and then you pour your own beers. It automatically charges your card. You don't have to prepay your card, you pay at the end with your restaurant tab. The price of each beer is clearly marked on a screen. If you tap the screen, it gives you additional information about how the beer is made. I found that was really helpful, if I was undecided on what beer to purchase. I had the good fortune to meet with Amy, who is one of the owners. She explained their philosophy on beers and food and was generally very helpful and answered all of my questions. Also, super shout out to Adrienne, who is one of the servers here. She was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining all the options and how the company works. Thank you Adriane! I asked my server what beer he liked best, and he suggested barrelhouse mango IPA. It was an outstanding beer. It's light with just a hint of mango. Just right with my chicken bowl! This is quite a large restaurant inside, and it's a lot more than just a Tap Room. The food is not just bar grub--it is a full menu. I should also mention that besides the beers on tap they have about four different wines that you could also pour yourself. It works the same way with your card. I ordered the blackened chicken pasta bowl, which was really yummy. It comes with Caesar dressing. So it tastes like a little bit like a caesar salad with pasta. It was more than enough for one person, and I really couldn't eat it all. Of course, the restaurant is in the historic downtown Clovis area, which is a lot of fun to walk around and check out all the shops. I drank beer and my wife purchased antiques. My husband and I had lunch at Blast and Brew today. It's a new place that Dale Yurong (ABC30) highlighted this restaurant on the news. This sports bar features many different specialty beers. Next time we come to this restaurant, we will try the beers. The food was very good. My husband ordered a TriTip ($17.00) sandwich. Lots of well seasoned meat. I ordered a Pesto Chicken sandwich ($16.00) that was delish. We both ordered sweet potato fries ($9.00) which were served with three different sauces. Everything was very good. The ambiance was very comfortable. The music was a little loud but you could hear and talk to each other. The decor was very nice and appropriate for a sports bar and restaurant. The brookie (brownie/cookie) was super good too. I'm not a beer drinker, but the beers on tap is so unique. It's like yogurt land, but with alcohol. The other drinks were good too. I heard they're under new management now, so if you haven't gone in a while, you might want to check it out again. Plus, they're super vigilant about cleaning and taking measures against spreading any viruses. Ordered the pesto sandwich and subbed sundried tomatoes for regular (sundried tomatoes and pesto are always married in my life) with sweet potato fries. The bread on the cheesesteak was actually quite dry, but the toppings were quite good. My friend got the cheesesteak without onions with garlic fries.
