The never ending works are home maintenance as there are always something needed to be fixed right away, and the cost of fixing them are expensive. Prior to using a handyman, I've used the real plumbers for my plumbing needs, professional installers to hang the blinds and do my kitchen floor. Really, they can do the works to my satisfaction but I paid high prices for their services and had to work through middlemen. One plumber wanted $220 just to install a new kitchen faucet I bought from Home Depot, you get the idea. I started calling the handyman for services just a few years ago, and I get along well with their works and costs. One day I had problem with my downspout, and I couldn't contact my regular handyman, so I look up the handyman in GOOGLE, and several handyman showed up. Some how I picked Blaschak Handyman Services just by looking at his website and the proximity to my house. Dean Blaschak came over within a few hours and took care of it to my satisfaction. He wont quit working no matter how many times he got up to the roof until he was completely satisfied. And he didn't charge me any more than the usual rate posted on his website . This man has principles indeed, And I was very much impressed with his attitude and the quality of his work. Was I lucky to have found him? Yes, I'd like to think so. From then on, I have been his favorite client as he has been accumulated a number of my checks written to him for his works for me: stopping the draft in my basement with his carpentry works, fixing a leaking outside faucet, adding a few nails on a lose wooded trim(no charge), installing a new Honeywell humidifier, fixing my refrigerator with leaking water problem, replacing a water valve to the new humidifier, and repairing a wet and rotten drywall. All his works were completed to my satisfaction and I am happy to pay him at the rate I think compatible or better than any other handyman. And one more thing: my sliding windows were not sliding well without force, Dean recommended to apply the rails with WD-40. To my surprise, it did work. I never thought of using WD-40 on the vinyl window before..
Well, Dean is intelligent, smart, and a college graduate like myself. I value his works and his work ethics highly, and maybe we might become friends in the future. I think it is best to have a good relationship with my handyman, unless I can fix all things by myself. For a not- so-handy like myself, I could use Dean's recommendations on house maintenance any time, and Dean is happy to give them. That is extraordinary, isn't it? read more
