It's what you expect. If a man is at the bar you should walk to Willibrew, you'll get a drink faster.

Once upon a time, I loved Blarneys. Then, they served me a chicken wing that still had toe nails in it.

Food: 8/10- great flavor, made fresh. The garlic mash was basic and did not have a creamy texture…read moreand lacked the garlic taste. The rest of the food was everything I expected. The wings and the mousse (beyond expectations)!! MUAH- chef's kiss! The mussels were good but need a bit of something. Service: I had my food for pick-up. I did not eat-in so I can't offer a true review. HOWEVER. The host/greeters were polite. They greeted me upon eye contact and kept warm smiles on their face the entire time. When my food bag was handed to me. I was met with a fare well greeting and a thank you. 10/10 for my service experience, although brief. Ambiance: Vibrant. When you walk in you hear pleasant chattering and the sound of honest conversation and genuine joy. Price: 8.5/10. Fair prices.

There's a lot of nostalgia tied to this place, but the experience today feels like a shadow of what it used to be. The quality has dropped drastically. Service was, frankly, atrocious--slow, disengaged, and bordering on indifferent. The beer selection is still decent, but it doesn't matter much when every pour arrives tasting off. Whether it's bad kegs or hot glasses, the result is the same: lukewarm, skunky beer that's hard to enjoy. Food was another disappointment. Every item came out cold, and the flavors were on par with grade‑D fast food--bland, lifeless, and nowhere near the standard this place once had. Giving three stars feels generous, but it's a nod to the legacy Willibrew built over the decades. I truly hope they find their footing again, because right now, the nostalgia is doing all the heavy lifting. Ummmmm cheers I guess

Parking: street spots and also spots behind building as well…read more Decor: was suspect from the outside with a dark older brick facade but inside was done up right with a great paint color combo and open pizza area. Maybe some better lighting but a very nice interior with vintage grade school chairs!! Food: presented well and very tasty, pizza was good but had to ask for some crushed red pepper and seasonings. The beet gnocchi was excellent and the hummus was great too. The meatballs were in a skillet and were great but possibly needs more sauce Overall: 100% if in the area it's a revisit for me!!!

If you're on a pizza tour or just have a hankering for great pizza and good beer, Trigo needs to be your destination. This was my second visit in the last 12 months, and both times they delivered consistently delicious food and excellent service. You're greeted warmly with a smile, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The pizza here is wood fired with a thin, crispy crust with just a bit of char. Don't be surprised if you see a small burnt spot or two--that's intentional and part of the style. If you enjoy the artisan-style pizzas from places like Pepe's, Sally's, Krust, or Otto, you'll feel right at home here. Located in the somewhat unassuming (and occasionally gritty) downtown Willimantic area, Trigo is truly a hidden gem. Street parking is available, or you can park in the rear lots and walk up the alley to the front entrance. We ordered the classic red cheese pizza, which was savory, crispy, and exactly what you want from a great pie. The real standout, though, was the Lemon White pizza. It was fantastic--unique, bright, and seriously delicious. Thin slices of whole lemon are baked right into it, and they're completely edible. A drizzle of honey and a touch of chili pepper bring everything together in a really memorable way. The beer selection is solid as well. We enjoyed the Keeper's Irish Red and the Mountain Magic cider. Honestly, give Trigo a shot--you won't regret it. My only complaint? They're closed on Sundays... which is a bit of a tragedy.
