I've been getting fuel oil for ~30 years from another company (Heritage). Meh. They first tried adding fees for propane tank rental, messed up a boiler maintenance and tried to charge me for the repeat visit. After they missed an automatic delivery, then missed the promised rush (~3/4 day) delivery since I was running on fumes I called Blanket. Night and day. They were here in a couple of hours. Over the years, I've dealt with many oil companies in the area. Blanket Oil is by far the best in my experience. I just received my second delivery - The truck was here 3 hours after I called. I really needed it too - we are experiencing some really cold weather. Many oil companies actually charge you up to $100 in fees for same day "rush" delivery. They are extortion artists! Bottini Fuel is one of the worst. SOS Fuel doesn't let you order COD (cash on delivery) - they make you sign up for automatic delivery and run a credit check. Nonsense in my opinion. Need oil? Blanket Oil is the best I have used since moving up here. Nice, courteous people, will deliver a rush if you need it at no extra charge. I used to use Wallace, they actually tried to charge me a 350.00 early contract breakage just because I didn't want to renew my contract! I didn't end it early! I did end up getting them to drop the charge. Use Blanket! read more
