Needed a caffeine boost and came by this place! The interior looks modern and nice, with one barista, service was a little slow. Ordered a pistachio latte, presentation looked ok but basic, taste wise coffee is there, pistachio was absent, but overall quenched the thirst. If in the area give it a try

I love Blank Street when it comes to a sweet treat drink. They have multiple locations across Manhattan and Brooklyn, but their operation times differ. This location is spacious, bright, and has spots for working! I love their matcha drinks here and get them as the occasional sweet treat. I wouldn't say that their matcha is the best matcha in NYC but I do think that it's fun and I love how they always have seasonal/new flavors. Service is always good.

I was in Brooklyn for the day and decided to grab some matcha. I purchased the blueberry matcha but the other options also sounded so good. The matcha was good this one said it had blueberry and ube but I was underwhelmed when I tasted it. I asked for more sweetener as well and did not really taste the blueberry/ube. My friend however loved her pistachio coffee. The location was simple and straight to the point great if you're just doing a quick drop in. There was a foul smell and that did turn me off but none the less it was a good place. Prices were great and service was good.

Obsessed with this item from blank street. It usually is paired with oat milk but I usually go with whole milk. Definitely hits the sweet spot when it comes to a creamy/berry matcha. The service was quick and efficient as well as the atmosphere was calm and chill. Will come back for more :)

I love blank street to try their fun seasonal menus! The strawberry shortcake matcha is delicious - Perfectly sweet and a nice treat on a summer day. Ambiance is good for a coffee shop but it's perfect to grab a coffee or matcha on the go and go on a walk with

Very good matcha, great aesthetic inside. All locations are always busy. Good customer service

The banana bread matcha was really good- especially with a shot of espresso in it. I was impressed by the variety of signature drinks they had available. Coffee came out pretty quickly, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The inside was big, bright, and clean. I wouldn't call it "cute," but it was more modern & crisp.

I've been addicted to the strawberry shortcake matcha. I've found it's even better with extra matcha added. This location is beautiful, bright and airy with lots of seating. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Just what I needed. A comfortably small coffee bar with fast friendly service. Was able to post up and get warm again and the coffee was excellent. The atmosphere made me miss living in NY. So much has changed but the heart remains. For now.

I love this location better than the one I usually go to. It's spacious and has lots of seating.

A more spacious Blank Street right by Jay St. Metrotech! It's tucked away in the Brooklyn Commons, which is a nice mini park area. There's more seating here than in a typical Blank Street, but still relatively sparse and looks like it would fill quickly. Service was quick. I got the matcha mint chip this round, but it was not very good. The mint was not noticeable and the drink instead tasted a bit medicinal.

This was my first time trying blank street and definitely wasn't the last! This place is so busy in the mornings and it's small on the inside so there's not a lot of room to stand or sit. All of the baristas were really nice! I got the iced strawberries and cream latte with whole milk. It was good, but there wasn't a strong strawberry taste. Next time I'll get it with almond or oat milk. I also tried the blueberry matcha, white chocolate matcha, and cherry cold brew. All of the drinks were really good! I was surprised that the matcha was actually good.

love the constantly rotating signature matchas at blank street, and the affordable prices. we tried the salted pistachio matcha latte ($6.95), and cookies & cream oat matcha latte ($6.65). I liked the salted pistachio better, but both were done decently well in terms of flavor and balance

Small shop, great service, excellent drinks, & tasty treats!…read more Of the two drinks, the black sesame latte was by far one of the best lattes I've had in a while (granted I have had a latte in a while...). If texture doesn't bother you (liberal amount of black sesame!), I'd suggest getting this latte (10/10). Both pastries were great in their own right. For my second matcha of the day, this matcha was like your everyday/average matcha. Can't go wrong, but it wasn't mind-blowing. If you're in the Theatre District, I'd definitely recommend popping in for a drink & a treat!

I had seen their cute pastries online and wanted to check them out. We got the items above and a few coffees. The cakes are cute. Tho not as light and fluffy as I was expecting. I thought they'd be more like the asian bakeries we have back in SF. Not as sweet as american desserts, but it was kinda in between. The egg sandwich I really wanted to like since I've been craving one. But the it was sooo dry. Definitely needed more mayo. And the bread wasn't very fluffy either. Cute spot if you want cute desserts. Tho I think they are more geared towards posting on socials. REVIEW #3999

There is some counter space, but mainly for standing purposes. I ordered a standard Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7.35) and my friend got her usual Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8). Docking 1/2 point bc the matcha is pre-made. I'm a fan of the whisking process bc I do believe there's a craft to matcha overall. Surprisingly, my drink tasted fine and my bev was a good color, so I was pleasantly happy. We waited less than 10 min for a table to open up, but you have to be there at the right time, otherwise you prob just grab your drink + go. Overall, glad I tried Kijitora. It's not my first matcha choice, but it was decent for a standard matcha latte. Their specialty matcha drinks look to have mixed reviews, but I'm personally not a fan of sweet drinks.

The tote bags were so cute but they were kind of pricey in my opinion. A standard beige Kijitora bag was priced for $30 each! They had several designs for sale. I was just busy checking out the cool cat merchandise while I was waiting in the long line to purchase the matcha drinks. The line was exceptionally long! It was worth the hype though! When I was my turn, I got an iced strawberry matcha latte and an iced mango matcha latte. It was so pretty when I got them. The mango and strawberry paste were sitting at the bottom of the matcha latte. I had to stir and mix the fruits with the whole drink. Surprisingly it was not sweet at all and was just right! They made it in a way that wanted you to crave more of it. It was very addicting. I did not get onigiris this time but will be sure to get some next time I'm here. They were just $4 each for miso salmon, tuna mayo, mentaiko cod roe, sukiyaki beef, and chashu pork. What a decent price for one onigiri! I would definitely be sure to get the miso salmon next time I'm here. The place was very cute with nice little tables for individuals. The place was very cozy with lots of sunlight coming in. Very modern with plants all around. It was so loud with people talking over each other. There were too many people on a Sunday afternoon so I had to walk around or cut through people to get my way. It was that crowded. I also didn't expect this place to be on the second floor and the stairs to be that steep. It was hectic carrying my stroller upstairs. Luckily someone helped me get down! The stairs are very narrow so I had to hold onto the rail. It was not ergonomically friendly at all.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
