I had three companies come out and I explained my concern and asked each what needed to be done. They were all eager to get the job and gave me bids. I thought I would try one more company and happened to call Doug. He arrived and once again I explained my concern. He looked at the tree and told me there was no need to do anything to the tree. I was very surprised. He had made a trip to see the job, told me it didn't need to be done and took the time to explain why there was no fire hazard. I then spoke to the electric company that confirmed what he had said. He was only one who was honest and told me I didn't need his service. How refreshing! Honestly means a lot to me. He will be getting all my business in the future and I will pass my experience on to my friends. Thanks Doug!

My neighbor hired Doug's tree service in August 2023 to remove a large tree. Doug asked for access…read moreinto my driveway with a bucket truck because power lines on neighbor's side blocked their driveway. I gave access, however, restricted where they could park the truck, as my yard/driveway is very small. A short while later, I checked on my front yard and found that they disregarded my instructions on where I agreed the truck could go, and they then had mechanical issues. The truck blew a hydraulic line which caused A LOT of fluid to pour onto my drive and stones/yard. I realize accidents happen, and told the employees of Doug's tree this and said make sure to clean up the mess you made. They used absorbent and degreaser for several hours to try to clean. The truck was moved onto the street and continued to drain hydraulic fluid as they worked on the truck for a lot of the day. At one point, the workers gave up cleaning and told me they got 80% of the oil out of my driveway/stones. I reminded the workers cleaning up the mess that they needed to clean up the mess in the street too. At the end of the day, 5pm, when everyone left, I observed that they got maybe 40-50% of the oil out of my driveway and did not do anything for the mess on the street in front. Very unprofessional. Next day, I contacted the neighbor who hired Doug's and he called Doug and got the response that they had done all they could do to clean up the mess. My thought was "no good deed goes unpunished"- I allowed the tree service and my neighbor to access the tree from my yard, so their jobs could be possible/easier. It reminds me to not pay for hired work in full before a job is completed, get more than one bid (even if it is a good price) and find a company that will take responsibility for their actions. Doug's Tree service is not a company I would consider in the future.

Tony the owner is very friendly and Jenn in the office is very easy to deal with. I had two cottonwood trees taken down a few years ago and today they took out two large pine trees, thinned out for other pine trees and cut an Aspen that was rubbing on the roof they were in and out within a couple of hours, even make sure my gate was locked behind them! First - I have been a loyal customer and have absolutely loved Glover, which is even more…read moreheartbreaking writing this review. Great selection at higher-market prices. (I'll take it if it's quality, and that's why I've stuck with them.) They'll offer a warranty on every purchase. DON'T fall for it because even if your plants die they'll fight you tooth and nail over why your plant isn't really dead (why it was human error which conveniently isn't covered by their warranty.) They've asked me to dig the plants at my mother's home and bring it back to them (some are massive!) do scratch tests, send pics, it's never sufficient and frankly it's getting exhausting. I have spent thousands over the years on soil, plants, flowers, trees, bushes, etc. but I'm so over it. The customer service (at least warranty) provides little service as possible. I've recommended family members to them and they have run into similar issues and I'm just not going to make recommendations nor shop there myself. My recent issue was with a purchased Japanese maple under the 5-year warranty (which costs extra) and they refused to honor it due to human error. Yet the one I got in the front yard (might I add at half the price, from a company online) is doing fantastic. What I do recommend: buy online, or any nearby home improvement store - at least you'll get a deal so you're not out hundreds of dollars if anything dies or needs replacing down the road. I'm so tired of burning extra money for "quality" I don't reap the benefits of at Glover. (Adding this in response to the business owner below: I took the tree out yesterday that your team of experts just last week gave recommendations on for it having "viable signs of growth". The trunk snapped - all light brown, completely dead. And the only reason they had the idea of depth was because that is what I told them might have happened. You lost a customer. What a joke)

I was an HOA president for a small HOA of 13 homes and dealt with Kimball regularly for over ~2.5…read moreyears. I was brand new to the position and I had come into it with Kimball being put on as the property maintenance company so I didn't really know what to look for until I read our contract after about a year in the position. Upon doing so, Kimball was wasn't fulfilling their contract by: 1) not scheduling our irrigation system at all. I'd usually have to remind them to turn it on even. As a result of this, we had to replace about a third of our native grasses, shrubs, and ground cover. 2) they never checked the health of our irrigation lines. Again, they'd just turn our drip system on for the summer and that was it. The contract said they'd inspect it after every lawn mow, which was 1x weekly. As far as I could tell, that rarely, if ever, happened. 3) at first they were doing a great job of a now removal but by the end our ~2.5 year stint, they'd come out to plow our small private driveway about 2 days after a storm, which the snow would generally be melted by then. One time they even backed into our trash & recycling gate, broke it, and I had to call them about it for them to come clean. Only reason I found out was because one of the neighbors caught them in the act. On top of all the contractual troubles occurring during the first two years, I received the third year contract two months after our previous contract had expired and they tried raising our price by $100/mo. the third year. I talked to the project manager about it and we agreed that we should have a buffer year before raising the price. He sent me contract and I sent it back within the month. About 2-3 months later when I noticed I hadn't received a bill, I reached out to Kimball to find out that they had stopped servicing our property because they "did not receive a signed contract on time." This is all to say that from 2.5 years experience with them, I would avoid Kimball (and their parent company Brightview) at all costs. They did not honor their contract and because of this I constantly had to babysit them to honor their contract with us.
