This was my 3rd try at various PT establishments in town. Why did I not begin with SM&PT??! Without hesitation, it was the best I've ever attended. A small area, 4 PT/DPT therapists, an acute friendly atmosphere, and to-the-minute, on-time sessions. At the end of my 3 months, Mike printed out exercises I could do in the pool to continue strengthening the muscles that support my spine. It only allows 5* yet 10* would be more likely! To Mike, thank you for being patient/supportive, and to Sydney, Caitlin, TJ, and Mike, I wish you continued success because you certainly render comfort, laughs, grammar, and geography tips to all of us, all the while we perform as you instruct us and voilà, the hour is completed and my back finds relief! They got me back in action and it wasn't painful like I expected it to be. It was great going to PT here and I'll do so again if there's a need. Caitlin certainly knows her stuff and got my shoulder back in working order quickly and then worked with me to get range of motion and strength back. I appreciate everything she did and the time she spent with me. I always felt I had her utmost attention when I was there and she was just so very nice! Mike is great too! He helped me with all the insurance mess, kept me on the straight and narrow and did a great job on working with me regarding the appointments. They all have such a great sense of humor as well as work ethic! Kudos to them! Thank you, Holly H

The therapists and technicians consistently exhibited patience, know-how, and authentic concern during my sessions. I continue to be impressed with the exceptionally helpful, positive, fun and friendly attitude that flows naturally from everyone who works there. Most staff have been at the facility a long time, recognizing it as a wonderful place to work. Dr. Kirk Painter's professional expertise and leadership are unsurpassed! Additionally, I greatly benefited from his optional treatment, dry needling. Having experienced several physical therapy offices in the past, I highly recommend Fyzical Therapy.

They paired me up with a great therapist that knew what he was doing. His name is Tyson. Tyson is an evidence-based practitioner that takes his craft serious and is passionate about what he does. We discussed different treatment options and after a few weeks I felt amazing. I am trying to avoid surgery and keep my active lifestyle. He introduced me to new techniques, exercises, and performed dry needling on my lower back. The dry needling was a game changer. I would definitely recommend Kethley. Since my visits I have met two other former patients that had nothing but good things to say about their experience. Thank you Kethley and Tyson.

Nice folks, for sure. And they know the business of physical therapy. At the age of 69, I have had…read moreto avail myself of PT through the years and I could tell that they knew what they were doing. What I didn't like: They use a system that I have experienced before. Each therapist is serving multiple patients simultaneously. He/she gives you an exercise to perform and watches you do a few reps to be sure that you are performing the movements correctly. Then they move to another patient, and then to another patient again. Sometimes they do something at a desk or talk to another employee. In the meantime, I have finished my sets and have to wait until the therapist makes his way back to me. Then the same cycle begins again. I complete my next set of exercises and sit and wait. In actuality, I performed less than 20 minutes of exercises but I was there for 1 1/2 hours. I think I went a total of 4 times and each time was the same. I have never and will never return.

Agree with the other reviewer... they are only interested in billing. A week after my knee…read moresurgery, I was seen in this office. Fortunately, I had an amazing surgeon and when I went to see the therapist, I had no pain at all. In fact, after walking back to the room with the therapist, the first thing he asked was "when" is my surgery. He was amazed to learn I had already had surgery. I was completely weight bearing and had no limitation to my range of motion. I let the therapist know that I was only coming at the request of my surgeon. The therapist said as long as I was feeling well, there was no need for me to come back. The appointment took all of about five minutes and the therapist did nothing other than talk to me. This would be perfectly fine... except today, two months later... I get a bill for their services! Given the fact the therapist did absolutely nothing other than speak to me for a minute... I have no idea why the balance bill. They were reimbursed by my insurance. But my insurance did not cover their full charge. And even though they did essentially nothing for me, they are charging me for the full visit. As a Veteran who served 30 years in the military and as a licensed healthcare professional who has been practicing for over 40 years... I find this behavior appalling. I have never met providers that are so anti-Veteran as I have discovered since moving to this area. Throughout my life after leaving the military, I have never had a provider send me a balance bill. Because we are Veterans, they accept the payment the military insurance pays and that is it. I understand it is the practices prerogative to send a bill for the balance not covered by insurance. But given the therapist did absolutely nothing to me, it's almost fraud to send me a bill. I cannot actually speak to their care since the therapist did nothing for me. Again, I fully expected the visit to go the way it did... I was feeling great. But I never expected them to send me a bill for doing nothing.

TLDR - Helped me recover from a torn ACL…read more- Exceptional team - Honest and transparent billing with the insurance - Good COVID friendly policies - I highly recommend I had a torn ACL in August of 2020. Dr. Edeen recommended I come here for rehab. It was a great experience from start to end. I was paired with Jacob, and from day 1 we had a rehab plan setup pre-surgery and post-surgery. Pre-surgery, I recall coming in a few times to help get my quad strength up before surgery, and then the real work began after surgery. The first session after surgery I came in with a walker going backwards because any pressure put on my leg caused me excruciating pain. It was really one of the most painful periods in my life. We pushed forward, and I came in 3 days a week for several months. Jacob did an exceptional job helping me ease into each workout and provided the guidance I needed to have the correct form for each exercise. Each week as my leg was able to bend more we increased the intensity and amount of workouts I did. By the end of the year, I had come all the way from walking out backwards with a walker to walking out the door almost as if I had a normal leg. Everyone worked together. Even though Jacob was my physical therapist, other physical therapists would sometimes provide helpful advice. I also saw Andy, the owner, even working on the floor and checking in with patients. On the insurance side, I used Aetna. I really respect the collaboration and transparency the office staff communicated with me on whether or not visits were covered. I had met my annual out of pocket deductible so throughout my experience, my visits were completely covered. There were a few bills that came in the mail, but it was due to processing errors and Bridgette did a great job explaining to me the error, and the staff made sure I was not charged. When I met the max amount of times the insurance would cover my visits, Phil let me know and this helped prevent any unexpected bills from coming in. Aetna can be hard to deal with, but the provider and the patient, in this case, worked together! Throughout the pandemic, I really appreciated the mask policy. Everyone in the building wore a mask. When I'd check-in, I'd always have my temperature checked. I'd recommend Fredericksburg SM&PT, TX. The team and leadership helped me get back to a normal life. I'm confident they can do that for anyone who needs to go through physical therapy.
