I came in for a routine physical, as I recently received health insurance for the first time in 10 years (God bless America). Mossburg discussed my health in an intelligent and friendly manner with laptop in hand, taking detailed notes. At first, I was caught off guard by her incessant typing while maintaining steady eye contact and asking thoughtful questions. I appreciated it afterwards, though, as she leaves you with a thorough report of your condition along with the steps taken and those recommended. If you get any lab work done, she also leaves a detailed recorded message on a coded phone system thing that you call in to hear your results. Very cool and convenient. The office isn't new or fancy but tries with the faux wood flooring and Pier 1 wall art. Forget the office--good doctors are hard to find, and Mossburg's a good one.

Not once did I ever take a family member to her and she not ask how we were doing and about our personal lives she would remember and bring things up we discussed about them to. Unfortunately, she took personal leave a couple of years ago and I never got my chance to be cared by her and I have medical concerns...it's hard finding a physician you trust and you like. I don't think we will find anyone better than her (she reminded me of my childhood doctor we had for many years) but I'm sure we will find someone up to par.

Let me start by saying that I've known some excellent doctors, and have had a couple of…read moreearth-shatteringly bad experiences as well. Dr. Julie Reardon has surpassed my wildest expectations of what a family physician CAN--and is willing--to do. I think that's in part because she is a phenomenal physician and person, and I suppose the Harvard education and work with Dr. Andrew Weil doesn't hurt. I'll add that all of the folks in her office are equally as competent and caring. If you are contemplating a visit to Dr. Reardon, it's because you haven't been feeling as well as you should--probably for quite some time. Your insurance-covered doctor has run some general tests that haven't shown anything all that extraordinary; and while you may greatly respect your PCP as I do, you realize that time and budget constraints limit the ability to which they can explore your issues. You may have been told that it's your impending menopause, or your weight, or that you perhaps should consider antidepressants. This is the state of medicine in our current era of managed care, and it's nobody's fault. Sometimes it just IS. Know that, if you can afford her services, "Dr. Julie" will leave no stone unturned in helping you find that road to recovery. She's not one of those "vanity doctors" who will hand you creams, diets, and vitamins to make you ageless and extra hot...although feeling better usually makes you look better! She's a serious, science-based physician with an uncanny ability to relate the typically unrelated, and see the "big picture" of your health situation. In our initial visit, she caught on to trending issues I'd never thought of before, including a potential genetic makeup that leaves me prone to certain problems with mood and energy level that are exacerbated by stress...and I've had a year of that! She ran a gamut of tests after explaining the purpose of each one, and uncovered a problem so critical it was a wonder I even had the energy to get out of bed in the morning. I am no less impressed with our follow-up discussions. She has referred to another provider for an area outside of her realm, and also recommended simple vitamin and supplement changes that will do me a world of good. At the same time, she's not that earth-crunchy guru that's going to mandate that that you live on purified air and chants...hers are moderate lifestyle changes for real people living in our everyday world. Dr. Julie doesn't take insurance, but that allows her to spend true quality time with the patients who sign on with her. I will say that, for the fees involved, I feel like it's been a very good choice for my healthcare dollars. I am finally getting some solid answers as to why I've felt HORRIBLE over just this last year, and I finally feel confident knowing someone's got my back while I take steps to get better. I think there are a lot of docs out there who dream of having a practice like Dr. Julie's--and she has made that dream a reality. When I think about how quickly Dr. Julie started "cracking the case", and all the co-pays and labs past that never quite addressed my issue, I realize that I have now SAVED time and money in the long run. What's more...I could have gotten REALLY sick were it not for Dr. Julie and her findings. She very well might have saved my future from being...well, not so bright. Thinking about calling for an appointment with Dr. Julie Reardon? I say go for it...you will NOT regret it, and you have everything to gain.

After discussing my situation with Dr. Weaver and an examination, he said he thought it was an under production of stomach acid and to drink a small amount diluted apple cider vinegar before meals. I was skeptical, but tried it. It worked almost immediately! I appreciate that Dr. Weaver continues to stay on top of the latest medicine, but suggests some homeopathic options when warranted.

Maybe he was good in his hay day, but as of current, he couldn't care less about his patients and he's flat out rude. He is not thorough at all. He put a diagnosis for insomnia in my file and that was NOT the case at all. Every single time I went to see him for myself or my son, I left feeling like he didn't listen to one single word I said, and made it very apparent that he was annoyed by me asking questions. He even yelled at me and had a legitimate hissy fit because I stood my ground about a medication I had been taking that he wanted to change. Not only did he make himself look absolutely ridiculous, he made me so uncomfortable; the most uncomfortable I have ever been at a doctor's office. He basically accused me of being a drug addict, and I am far from it. I actually have a respectable government job... that drug tests. Long story short, make the drive, spend the gas money. It's worth it to not have to experience Dr. Weaver. I think he should probably just retire.
