This facility is disorganized, and I've experienced issues with inaccurate insurance billing. Both the GI and GYN departments seem poorly managed, and the costs are significantly higher than other offices I've visited that offer more experienced staff and higher-quality care. Additionally, the environment is not well-maintained and has an unpleasant odor. I would recommend considering other options unless it's an emergency and no alternatives are available. read more

I had the best experience at Baylor Scott and white hospital. I delivered my baby here on December 14, 2023 and it was nothing but amazing. All the nurses took care of me in the best way, they were ALL so sweet and attentive that I felt so at peace throughout my entire stay here. I also had the best luck in having my Doctor, Dr. Rojas that treated all of my pregnancy, delivered my baby and he's nothing but exceptional! I 100% recommend BSW to any pregnant woman looking for a place where they'll feel taken care of in every step of the way. read more

schedule a 2:30 appt took 5 for check it then sat for 35 minutes they oh no then want you to come in early appt not till 3pm exam took 15 minutes. No one was call for this same exam in 35 minutes. The care here is absolutely lazy and awfully regretful. Making some song and dance about making sure they take care of you , make sure your getting the best care here... but! How come my friends mom sitting in her own urine for two hours not has she had a shower nor had the staff and nurses there did a very thorough shift change because after visiting my friends mom with my friend still not have had a shower? And sitting in her urine? Like what the hell is wrong with this hospitals bedside manner and forgetful and lazy job of checking on my friends momma? My friends mom calls us and tells us what's going on and this isn't cool and she shouldn't have to feel beglected or feel as if she is bothering them somehow. Because she isn't she is a patient entrusted to them to take care of and help my friends mom while she recovers and heals. And she served in the military and was even thanked for her service so a vet by marriage none the less that is to be honored and it is shameful to see because the veterans shoukd have the highest care and honored and this is absolutely not cool. And the Hippocratic oath isn't being honored at all and is very poor medicine and makes an ass out of there own oaths. It's just not this hospital alone at the bigger picture it's modern medicine because the healers are to afraid to do what they should be doing but are so frightened by lawsuits and prison that they fail us in this modern medicine which isn't medicine at all and it's very shameful of the medical community as a whole . So I can't give a review here and I wouldn't recommend sending your loved one or even yourself because while visiting nothing was being done despite us asking about the things that her momma needed addressing. I had gone to my small town er the day before for an incapacitating migraine that was ongoing for days.No help there.I had my partner drive me the 40 minutes to Marble Falls er,because my small town er was treating me as a drug seeker,or so it felt.Baylor got me in immediately Gave me a round of shots that had no effect.Had a ct scan then gave me something that knocked me out.Came back and told me it was clear and go home.At this point I can't make sentences and had trouble walking out.No wheelchair,even though they had given me something really powerful.Almost fell in the doorway and had to wait and rest for the car.Next day had an appointment with my regular provider and went for mri and they discovered a clot in my neck.For almost 9k at Baylor I got almost an 1.5 hr of sleep,which was amazing,but helped nothing.Did I mention I was dragging my left side walking into Baylor?I gave the dr all of my info,blood pressure ,where the pain was and how it changed,losing feeling in my left side,puking from the pain.I feel like I was treated as a drug seeker and being self pay was kicked out.So they are slightly better than my small town er,maybe?I didn't die(yet),still have the clot.Really hoping for a decent hospital closer than Austin.Not much confidence now read more

Was sent here by the VA. The VA made a clerical error on their end delaying payment. Baylor Scott was well aware of this issue and ensured me they would work with me to help me fix it. What they did was sent me to collections without even warning me after promising to help me navigate the VA and telling me not to worry. I give a one star because not only did they lie and send me to collections but they had absolutely zero remorse about it and told me it was my fault. Which they are right I should have called the BA soon instead of believing they would help and not send me to collections. read more

We are relatively new to the area and one of the first things I did when we moved here was check out the local hospital on Yelp. I was a bit concerned when I read the reviews of BSW and actually thought I would try to avoid going there based on what I read. However, my husband woke up in the middle of the night in pain, having difficulty breathing. We had no choice, we had to go to the closest hospital - BSW, I was worried, to say the least. We arrived at 3 am and we're in a room seeing a doctor in less than 10 min. A series of tests were done quickly, including CT scan within an hour an hour and he was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and was admitted. We were there for 3 days and we found the care to be very good. The nursing staff was just wonderful, there was never any delays or lack of responsiveness that is common in other hospitals that I have experienced over the years in large cities. The doctors were good to excellent, we saw many and the communication amongst the different specialists was very good. That has been a frustration that I've experienced in other hospitals, that the doctors treating don't talk to each other. We felt that we received excellent care. There were a few slight negatives - which is why this is 4 and not 5 stars. The food is really bad and the person that manages food for patients was rude. This wasn't once, it was repeated when we would be asked for his meals. There also was a horrible attendant (don't think he was a nurse) that was very rough handling my husband - so much so that I stopped him when he was moving him from ER to CCU. I actually wanted to report him but was so overwhelmed with what we were in the middle of that I let it go. Anyhow, having read the list of bad reviews, I felt it important to share our experience. Just wanted to update that since they sent me home from the ER with no actual care, I've spent every night of the weekend and last night (4 nights in a row) laying on the bathroom floor so I could be close to the toilet, writhing in pain and vomiting. Went to ER with severe lacerations of hand. Was treated promptly and taken to examination room. PA Douglas Griffith put 32 sutures in my hand! No pain even with injections to numb the hand. Nurse Oscar was very attentive and helpful. I think it was Dr. Johnson who looked at my hand and said a plastic surgeon could not have done a better job. Calling in for an ophthalmology appointment for floaters, with a physician I have seen before. Next available is three months out, floaters could be benign, or could signify vitreous tears, which is an emergency. Unfortunately, the providers probably have no clue as to how their scheduling treats their patients. Steer clear of this horrible example of medicine in the Hill Country. read more

THE BLOOD SUCKERS OF BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE Back in 2017 I went to BS&W's new hospital in Marble Falls, Texas to get a consultation and prescription for a Home Sleep Study test. I paid in cash, about 240 dollars, the actual cost was $248, I was short 8 bucks but the lady at the front desk said I could pay that on my next visit or they would just send me a bill, okay no big deal. So I saw a heart doctor, and spoke with the nurse about getting my Home Sleep Study test kit which was basically just a heart monitor to track my heart and breathing rate to help diagnose if I had Sleep Apnea or other issues. I was told by the nurse that the rental of the device for 24hrs would cost between $55 or $99 dollars, I can't recall the exact price, but it was definitely under a hundred bucks for sure, and it was far cheaper than the alternative $1500 dollar in house Sleep Study they charge for. The nurse said that the device was not available right then and they would call me when it was available. So I go home and I wait, and I wait, and I wait, after a few weeks I call them back and they tell me there was an issue with billing and that they could not release the device to me without paying the bill? I told them I never received a bill and if they could send me another one? So I wait, and I wait, and I wait, and weeks pass by and I didn't receive anything, no bill, no phone call, no device, no nothing, then tragedy strikes my family and my mom winds up in the hospital and I forgot all about this mess for like 9 months. I do in home health care for my parents as both are elderly and disabled and have no one else they can depend on to take care of them. So we're almost at full year here and after being berated by my folks for my sleep issues I contact BS&W again and inquire about my Home Sleep Study test and I get shuffled around to someone in their billing department, they then begin to explain to me that I did not owe them $8 dollars, but in fact I owed them $8 dollars and a $175 dollar facility fee bill? I blew my top, looking back I feel sorry for the lady that had to take the brunt of my expletives and accusations of them running a scam on me. I demanded a paper bill, and to talk to a supervisor. So I waited, and waited, and waited some more and eventually a bill finally showed up. And it stated that a facility fee was owed? Which I did not understand, the only facility I ever used at this hospital was the bathroom! My mom had an appointment at this hospital so I took my billing with me and after my mom was done I demanded to speak with a financial supervisor. So we get escorted into an office and the lady behind the desk verify's that a $175 dollar facility fee was owed, but she couldn't find a bill for the $8 dollars I was short? The way it was explained to me is that BS&W charges all patients a $175 dollar facility fee, this includes the the waiting room, the bathrooms, the doctors office, the cafeteria, and the pleasure of air conditioning. This is a standard fee required to use their building or any of their services. When I asked why this fee was never asked of me during initial services, she didn't have an answer.... I blew my top! I know what this is, THIS IS SURPRISE BILLING, an extortion scam run by medical industry blood sucking middle men and scam artists! After a lengthy rant I gave the BS&W blood sucker a credit card and paid the $175 dollar extortion fee they shook me down for. I just wanted my F'n medical device so I could get my Sleep Study done and get a C-PAP machine so I can sleep at night! NOW GET THIS HERE B.S. So its been almost 18 months now since my initial contact with BS&W. So after I get my receipt I go straight back to the nurse and show her my receipt and I demand my heart monitor Sleep Study device. She then tells me that the service is no longer available from the initial company that had the Sleep Study device? That its owned by a new company now and that the price has done up again!... When I ask her how much she slugs me in the guts with a $500 dollar price tag! So lets do some quick math... 240 +175 + 500 comes out to $950.00 dollars! Half of which I'm out of pocket. So, I go back to that B (B for blood sucker) back in their financial department and verbally demand a full refund, and she gave me some b.s. about all sales are final and gave me her supervisors business card! I tried calling her blood sucking supervisor and she basically told me to get bent. Now here I am in 2020 and still have not received anything resembling satisfactory service from anyone related with BS&W MARBLE FALLS hospital or their blood sucking affiliates. I never got my Sleep Study because of their incompetence, I never got any follow up call or care or concern from any of their staff, and honestly they couldn't give two F's if I died in my sleep. To this day, I wake up fatigued, my headaches are getting worse, I'm starting to have memory problems, and I often wake up gasping for breath. read more

My husband was in severe back pain, and could barely sit up much less sit in a wheelchair to go sit again in a waiting room. We had gone to another ER and they were more concerned about where I had parked than my husband lying down in the back of my car in pain. We pulled up in the ER driveway, I went in and told them the situation. Someone came out almost immediately and helped my husband in. I parked the car and came back into the ER. He was already given pain meds and lying down. Eight minutes from driving up and him being helped. Wonderful service and care. Thank you so much! read more

I was in the ER at BSW Marble Falls with my daughter today. While waiting for her testing to be completed I went to the Cafe approximately 1:30. I gathered a few snacks and proceeded to to register to purchase my snacks and was politely told " we don't take cash only credit or dedit". I did not bring my credit or debit cards with me since I rushed out of the house. It's a sad day when I can't eat because I carry cash ( American Currency) and not credit cards. This review pertains to the Lab on the 2nd floor at the BS&W Clinic, 706 Ave G, Marble Falls, TX. I took my elderly 90plus yr old Dad there for dr ordered lab work on 9/29/22. especially to get a urinalysis because of suspected UTI. The front desk had the order, but the lab tech completely omitted it! The next day, no urinalysis results were available. I hope this omission of lab work does not happen to anyone else. (Luckily, four days later, dad is ok so we know he did not have a UTI.) read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with BS&W about my birth control implant. I called before deciding to get an implant in and asked for the total amount for getting the implant without insurance, I told the lady that I was going to pay out of pocket. The lady told me it would $651.38. I was scheduled and did the procedure, I was not given a total of the procedure when I went in nor told how much it would cost. A couple days later they sent me a bill statement of 2,538.72! I have been calling them and they keep saying that the girl I spoke to the first time was only able to give me an estimation for the visit and that she didn't include the implant price with it. I told them that they didn't give me an honest estimate even though I asked for it. They pretty much told me it is what it is and that I can do a payment plan. Why would I pay for a price that I was not told about before starting the procedure. They really screwed me over, they lied and are pretty much gaslighting me. I will continue to call until I get what I rightfully deserve. If anyone is paying out of pocket here ask them in person for the whole price and get a paper saying it, they will screw out of more money. read more

Well, I have seriously lost every bit of my patience. I have been at the after hours clinic on 71 since 5:45 with my two kids. The lady at the front desk was the rudest lady I have ever met in my life and seriously took 30 to 40 minutes to finish the person ahead of us and get us checked in. While checking us in the receptionist asked "why is she here?" And I answer "for a UTI" she says "thats a diagnosis" At first I was confused but then deducted she wanted her symptoms and was not actually asking "why she was there". She then directed us to wait, and we didn't wait very long to get called back. However, the nurse took about another hour to do their height, weight, blood pressure, and chief complaint. She had no clue that both my children were supposed to be seen ever after I made it clear she would need my sons weight and height etc too after my daughter, several times. *Had it been busy I would have understood but at 5:40 there was us and one other patient in the building. We did not leave the building until 7:55. Making your patients wait while you hang out and talk is not okay. I could literally hear them laughing while my baby is screaming his head off because he wants to leave in the exam room. read more

When I declined he came in the room, acted like a prick, wouldn't listen to me, would not let me get a word in, and then told me I needed over-the-counter cold medicine.I'm 44 years old, and I know when I'm sick and when I'm not. This is the most unethical medical provider I've ever been associated with. He was just upset because he didn't get an up charge me for a chest x-ray so he came in and showed me who was boss. After reading the reviews about this place, I can see that he's probably a washed up piece of crap who can't get a job anywhere else. I have quickly learned that these 1 star reviews are real. I had an appointment this morning after being called to schedule an appointment from a referral. The second I walked in I was greeted by one of the rudest ladies I have encountered in a while. I was 10 minutes early for my appointment as the person who called didn't indicate I needed to be early. When I provided my name this lady said "you are REQUIRED to be here 30 minutes early to fill out paper work. I explained that I wasn't told this. She didn't say a word and picked up the phone. Someone picked up and she said "yes and yes". Didn't share that nobody told me I needed to be early. The next thing she said was "I can reschedule him....". I turned around and left. For starters, I live in 2 States and was only coming for the consult to see if I would CHOOSE them over the other. That question was answered in this less than 5 minute encounter with rudeness. These people have no concept how long we often have to wait for them. I wasn't told I needed to be there early and she didn't feel that warranted sharing with whoever was on the other end of "yes and yes". Here is some advice to Baylor Scott. IF I am REQUIRED to be there 30 minutes early, then make my appointment 30 minutes earlier. Why say it is 11:45am but it is actually 11:15am? Wife's been in bed for 7 days with covid. took her to the ER Marble Falls mid-morning yesterday they kept her for two hours gave her an IV told her that they gave her a steroid which they didn't. the paperwork showed differently. picked her up 2 hours later brought her home. The following day still no phone call from the doctor or from the nurse. Nobody checking up. we tried to call the charge nurse to find out exactly what was done because it didn't jive with the paperwork. We were hung up on twice, redirected to Temple once and my daughter who was calling never was able to talk to the charge nurse to find out what happened. total miscommunication total incompetence at the hospital at the ER Will not recommend BS&W MF to anyone. read more

I have always had excellent treatment by Baylor Scott and White until now. My wife was looking for me a doctor being as we are somewhat new to the area. So she was on line looking for medical doctors that I could get in for a complete physical and I do have a few issues that I need to have looked at soon. So Dr. Copeland name came up and the website popped up "schedule an appointment " so she did. And times came up and she scheduled the time on line and it was confirmed. So I went there today and they did not have an appointment for me. If they have a problem with their wed site then something needs to be up dated changed or something. I visit the Marble Falls location when my PCP is to booked to get us in. This has meant several visits to the clinic with 3 young kids in our home. PA Mike Moore has treated us on several occasions and I have always found his presence to be very friendly and informative. This has included asking about alternative medicines or alternative treatments. I always left with a full explanation for everything and always felt like I was receiving the best treatment possible from a PA that truly cared about healing. On a busy day at the clinic we have only ever waited around 20 minutes to been seen by staff and taken into a patient room. I have always found the nurses and staff to be friendly and inviting and have found myself joking or visiting with them on several occasions. I would happily recommend this clinic to any family or friend. read more

Dr. Murphy is a professional, detail-oriented, and efficient provider who took great care of me and my baby during a tense delivery and a second degree tear. The Labor & Delivery nurses are unbelievable! The experience I had from going in for a routine non-stress test to being admitted for an earlier-than-planned induction went as smoothly as it could have because of their incredible care. They are kind, attentive, supportive, and make you feel like you can do this "mom thing". The lactation consultant is amazing as well. She came in immediately after birth to coach us on how to breastfeed when my baby was struggling to transition to life outside the womb. She even came in on her day off to give us extra support. Took my eight year old son to the emergency room. He fell and hit his head and had an open gash that would need stitches. He is also a hemophiliac. We live near Scott and White so we took him there. The waiting room is a disaster and it's quite obvious that they are short on beds and doctors. My son sat waiting for almost an hour. Keep in mind that this is a child with a head injury that is bleeding and he has hemophilia. When we asked how much longer nobody could tell us anything except that the doctors and nurses were told about him waiting. This is about the third time in the last year that we've had to visit the ER at Scott and White for various reasons. Every single time has been the same. Insane wait times. The last time we were in the ER there were only one or two other people and it was the same thing. Waited forever. If you have an emergency go to Seton in Burnet. It's about a 15 minute drive from Marble Falls and the longest wait we've seen is about 15 or 20 minutes. The drive is almost longer than the time you sit in the waiting area. The medical staff and front desk are exponentially more professional at Seton and seem to actually care about and want to help their patients. If your emergency is serious the trip to Seton in Burnet is well worth it because you're likely to die waiting in the Scott and White Marble Falls ER. read more
