I was informed the dr was in charge of the messages. I asked to speak with him and he refused I could hear him in the background saying he didn't want to speak to me. I then get a call back from the doctor and he was still rude saying if I can't give a courtesy call he doesn't want me as a patient. Mind you this is my first impression of this man. I am glad I will not be going to his office. I understand I should have called but it was in no way intentional, but this response was RIDICULOUS. I would give him a zero if I could.

I wanted contacts for use with my virtual reality headset and hadn't used contacts for over 20 years. After a brief wait, I received an efficient expert-level exam and smart conversation with Dr. Brandys. Nice dealing with someone who has personality. The optician's were all great afterwards too. I have 3 sample packs of contacts to try so we get the best match for my VR unit. He gave me near, far and mono lenses and I didn't need to buy any until we figure out which are best. On top of that, everyone was operating with good cheer in what is clearly a healthy work environment. Great find!

He said I had an abrasion on my eye and would have to be out of my contacts for 2 weeks before he would fit me for new ones. This meant I would have to purchase new glasses immediately before I could think about new contacts. He also said I had to stop using Restasis and buy a dry eye medication from him because it was only sold to optometrists. I found the dry eye medication at Walgreens. I got a 2nd opinion regarding the "abrasion" and there wasn't any nor was there any mention of it in the records from his office which I took with me. I ordered new contacts from my new optometrist at my first appointment and I will never go back to Dr Pesavento.

I went to see Dr Hashmi at the recommendation of my optometrist because of a potential serious eye…read moreissue. I spent 25 years in the optical industry so I know a good doctor when I meet one. The staff was not very friendly when I went to check in at the desk, I was made to wait 15 minutes, which for an ophthalmologist office that should be expected. But the technician that took me back for the pretesting was cold, impersonal, and with some of the testing that he did I did not feel very comfortable with the procedures that he used. There is a specialized test called a visual field that needs to be done for the type of issue that I was going in for. It is a specialized machine, he did this lame unprofessional type of test with his finger. The type that your physician does when they are doing a yearly physical on you just to check how your eyes react. When I specifically asked him if they were putting me in the machine to test me he said that he was not going to do a standard visual field test, he said they do not find it that's necessary. It did not give me a very good feeling at that point. When Dr Hashmi came in she flew in like she was in a rush, she introduced herself, when I told her that I was in the field and that she could be blunt with me and explain everything in normal terms and not have to explain it as though I was person did not know anything about the human eye or anything in that industry, she ignored it. When the technician initially did what is called a Goldman tonometry test which checks for glaucoma or rather pressures in the eye that could show up a possible diagnosis of glaucoma, he came up with a high number, when the doctor did the exact same test she came up with a number that was six points lower. The time between the two tests was 10 to 15 minutes. Her result was absolutely nowhere near what both the initial result from my optometrist was and from what the technician got. She had a six-point different result. With glaucoma you do not have a six-point drop in a 15 minute period from the previous test. The doctor spent approximately 7 minutes with me. I did not feel comfortable with her diagnosis when she stated that I was fine and didn't need to worry about anything. At that point I decided that I was going to go for a second opinion, the next practice that I went to was concise, thorough, and the doctor spent almost an hour with me versus 7 minutes. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this office. I also found out after the fact from someone who has worked with this practice that they appear to be "on the shady side". I honestly wish that I had heard that prior to going to this particular practice. I never would have gone.

I made an appointment for my sister and I for our overdue eye exams. It was definitely much needed…read more My sister hadn't been there in 8 years so she had to fill out new forms. I was immediately taken back for the eye puff test and then got seated on the exam chair. My sister was quick with her forms so we ended up pretty much doing the appointment together at the same time. Good news is that my vision improved but the bad news is that my near-sighted vision is starting to go and she mentioned the bad "B" word - Bifocals *gasp*. I guess it all comes with age and there's not much we can do. I got fitted for glasses and contacts and they told me about the different rebates available for contacts. Dr. Wojcik was awesome as per usual and adds a feminine touch to the place compared to how I remember it from when I was a kid and saw her dad. I'm grateful that she's able to keep the family business going and she definitely has our loyalty! This is a great spot and we highly recommend this family business.
